They were great. I had used them earlier for a small replacement of a ceiling light and then and during this visit they were thorough, honest, and did a great job of explaining what was going on. They are always more than fair and patient as can be. I have asked them to come a do a thorough mechanical assessment of the house because I totally trust their honesty.

They showed up on time. Friendly, professional and well groomed. They worked constantly while there. They explained what was needed and why they needed to do what they needed to do. They checked the installation of a fixture my husband completed and did not try to create an issue. They thought it looked good which made you feel like they weren't trying to inflate the bill. At the end, the bill was actually less then anticipated. I will definately use them for future jobs.

Doug said he'd never seen so many holes in ductwork! I turn the heat on now and am warm in minutes. Doug was clean, trustworthy, honest, on time, and there were no increases in price from bid he originally gave. He and his crew were friendly and personable. I had no problem leaving them here at my home when I had to leave.

This is the second time we have used Sheridan and both times the service was excellent and the job was completed promptly and thoroughly. He arrived right on time, made recommendations, and then based on our conversation about the recommendations he made the repairs. We will certainly continue to use Sheridan in the future.

After waiting for the long, hot A/C-less weekend to end, I called Sheridan Mechanical on Monday, June 14th....left a message on their voice mail asking for a service call on either Tues, 6/15 or Wed 6/16 and explained that I had no A/C and thought that because my unit is 18/19 years old, it may not be repairable and would need replacing. Approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours later, Christy returned my call telling me that 10:00 am was available on the 15th and that Doug would be the service person. She was very courteous and personable and answered all my questions in a very patient manner. Doug arrived precisely at 10:00 am and went straight to the unit to begin the inspection. He explained what the problem was and how the part functions in the mechanics of A/C units. It took approximately an hour or so to complete the work. I then began a discussion with him pertaining to a future replacement of the A/C unit and what the options were. I also discussed replacing my water heater with a tankless water heater. He very patiently and thoroughly answered and then explained every point...even when I had asked the same question before! :) This discussion was an additional 45 minutes after the repair was completed! He is a very personable, professional young man and I highly recommend Doug / Sheridan Mechanical. Because he came highly recommended by my best friend, I did not contact any other company, nor did I ask the cost of the repair before he began. That decision was based on my friend and more importantly, not having A/C for the entire HOT weekend! In the end, I was not disappointed in my friend's recommendation and was extremely pleased with the work, the cost, and the time afforded me during and after the job was completed!

We hired Sheridan Mechanical for a complete rewire in our 70-year old house in Charlotte in 2006. It was an expensive undertaking which took several days to complete. While Doug and his brother were both very proficient and knowledgeable, there were times when they d leave and not come back for hours with no notice. Overall, we re very happy with the work, but recently when we had them come out to quote a big project to run power from our main house to our detached apartment/garage, we were told it was going to be a certain amount and that the work would start on a certain day. However, when that day arrived, we received a phone call (an hour after they said they d originally be here) to say that the project would cost 60% more than we were quoted and that they might be able to start later in the week. To say we were a little shocked is an understatement, as we were then forced to scramble to find an electrician who could start/finish the project as promised, and who gave us one firm price which he stuck to.
