Low Cost Tree Removal & Trim

Michael did a great job at our office and provided recommendations based on the type of tree and the impact of cutting them too short. His quote was a lot lower than the other companies we called.

Michael's estimate was several hundred dollars lower than other bids. The workmen arrived on time and they were very professional. The tree was in a very dangerous place between two houses. The crew were very knowlegeable and they brought the tree down without indangering either house. They cleaned up afterward. I highly recommend this company and I would use them again without question.

Michael and his crew removed a 100 foot red oak. The tree was split more of a fracture (probably by lightening) and extremely dangerous. His crew removed the tree with zero damage to anything else, they are amazing. This tree took true experts to take down without causing collateral damage, Michael and his crew were those experts. Hire them, you will very happy you did. His price was very reasonable.

Michael and his crew did an amazing amount of major tree and limb removal. Work was often at the very highest areas of very large and old trees in my back yard. Took from 8:30am to 4:30pm. I can't even tell they were here. Most professional guys I have hired. It took two large flatbed trailers to haul away the debris and limbs. I have used Michael Butler and Low Cost Tree Removal of several occasions, and I have yet to understand how much work they can accomplish for such a low cost and high degree of professionalism.

I have used Michael on three occasions and need tree work done now but I will absolutely never use him again. In neither of his last two jobs did he complete the work as agreed. The last job was a small one that involved simply trimming 4 limbs off of an elm tree beside my home. When we initially looked at the tree, I identified one limb that I wanted removed while he stated clearly that he would remove the three above it also. We agreed to a price, verbally and via text, and since it was a small job I left the cash with my neighbor as I was out of town on business. I returned home to discover that only one limb had been removed. When I complained about the matter, he stated, "Sir I gave you a fair job for the money."' When I stressed that it was not as agreed upon, he did not deny it and simply restated, "Sir I gave you a fair job for the money." He requested an additional $50 and stated that he would try to compete the work as agreed during his next visit to the area. When I declined and complained further, he agreed to finish the job "later". "Later" came several weeks later as he did some work for my neighbor however instead of walking across the street and taking 10 minutes to complete the job, I observed he and his worker looking over at my yard pointing and laughing. It appears that I became the butt of a joke. As I thought about the matter, I recalled that a similar situation had occurred in his prior job in which he cut down an oak, and agreed to carry off the debris but never returned to remove the debris. When I called to complain, he again asked for another $50. In that case, I thought maybe there was just a miscommunication so I declined and my son and I just hauled it to the curb. I now realize that I was taken both times. Well, I may be taken again in the future, but not by him. I would highly recommend against using him or his company as his integrity and professionalism are lacking.

Michael - Wanted to let you know that I won't be giving you a good review on Angie's List and here is why: I looked back on our conversations since the beginning. And you quoted me 275.00 I had sent you pictures of the trees and you can see the one that is bent. Told you when you came out and looked at the trees and stated that you would have to pull the trees up the hill, and you needed 300.00$, at least. I agreed. You knew beforehand there were four small trees coming down. Because of the City of Tega Cay not allowing two of the trees to be cut down, You trimmed one back away from the house. I told you I would still pay you the 300.00$ for the 2 trees and a trimmed back tree if you would trim back some of the overhang around the back yard. You said you couldn't, starting talking about having to pull the trees up the hill again. (Although, in earlier conversations you said you had done a lot of work in Tega Cay) Not wanting to argue, I just agreed.

Here on time, got to work, asked pertinent questions so to be clear of what I wanted the results to be, got all jobs done in 3 hours, cleaned up the area completely. Michael Butler and his crew are professional, polite, and caring about the job. This guy is a find!

Michael was on time, completed the work in one day. Did a excellent job! I had just had the grass over seeded. He took extra care not to damage any of the new grass. Would use again!

Showed up on time and finished a large job that included removal of 5 small trees and a huge amount of overgrown vegetation in 4 hours. Did a great and through clean up. The price of doing this job was so low that I tipped a $100. Michael Butler is a real pro and his crew is professional and polite.
