Compact Car Service

The Acura dealer recommended much more extensive, and much more expensive, brake work for the front brakes. Compact Car Service said it wasn't necessary - all that was needed was replacement of worn brake pads. It was easy to get an appointment and the work was done in a little over an hour. The brakes work great and I will be using Compact Car Service from now on.

He stated that you would need some auto work done on the engine, but not right away. We appreciate his honesty and willingness to take us when we just drove up for service.

They are very professional. Being a woman and dealing with a mechanic, they are very honest. I appreciated that.

I can't say enough great things about Johnny Parker and the team at Compact Car Service. Johnny and staff always take the time to explain problems (or sometimes lack thereof) in great detail, and will even walk you out to the shop to show or demonstrate what they are explaining if you prefer. While their labor rates are competitive or slightly lower than the dealer, where you save money with them is through them only performing work or repairs on items that are specifically needed. If the manufacturer recommends a certain repair or service, and Compact Cars does not think your car is in need of that particular service, they will let you know that, and only recommend the service when necessary. Also, in performing routine oil changes, they thoroughly look over the entire car (at no extra charge) for any issues or potential issues to watch and repairs to plan for in the future.

I have never had a bad experience at Compact Car service. The work is always done promptly and professionally. Joe and Johnny have kept my older (1988) Acura running well and safely. They do not recommend unnecessary work and always strive to fix the car as inexpensively as possible.

Johnny has been my mechanic for over 15 years and has always been excellent in maintaining my Hondas. He and his staff are very knowledgable about Hondas and explain everything in terms that anyone can understand. They never pressure you to have work done, and they always explain all of the options to you. In this case, they observed that my belts were showing their age and should be replaced soon, preferably before cold weather started. I have received first rate service and a reasonable price at Compact Cars, and will always have my car maintained there.

I've gone to them for years and they're really good. They're very honest and up-front about what's going on with my car.

JOHNNY KNOWS EVERYTHING THAT YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW ABOUT A HONDA. IF THE CAR IS UNDER WARRANTY THEN HE WILL TELL YOU TO GO BACK TO THE DEALER. IF THE DEALER SAYS THAT THE CAR IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY, THEN JOHNNY WILL ARGUE THE CASE FOR YOU.

I have used them for 15 years or more. They always do a great job. They are very fair in the charges. They are very up front about my options on the repairs.T they also let me know about potential issues that could be coming up that may not need attention immediately and the cost so I can plan for those as well. All around great company to work with. One of my cars has over 180,000 miles on it and I contribute most of that success to their service and the great job they provide.

Based on my first experience, I don't think I would ever go anywhere else for repairs on my vehicles.

They only work on Honda's and Acura's. I would not take my car to any other service company because they do such a great job. They are honest, reasonable, and I can't say enough good things about them!When I need to buy another car I will probably buy a Honda or an Acura so I can take it there for them to service, because they are just that good!

Excellent and very helpful. Explained exactly what needed to be done and had done in a timely fashion.

Everyone was very pleasant and professional...both at the reception desk and in the garage. This was the smallest amount I've ever paid for a car repair. They worked promptly and called me to tell me the problem and again when the car was ready to be picked up. This was the first time I've ever used them, and I will definitely use them again.

Our Integra had an intermittent start problem that was completely unpredictable and stranded me twice. We had it at the local Honda dealership twice and the local Acura dealership once. Neither could find the problem (although Honda certainly charged us for trying). When we finally discovered CCS, they spent 20 minutes on the phone with us first troubleshooting the problem before we even talked about bringing it in. Once we had it there, they found the problem no one else had been able to find and fixed it at a reasonable price. We have not had another problem with the car since. We just had it in for its 60K major service and wouldn't consider taking it anywhere else. These folks are amazing. (I wish there were a grade higher than A!) I just can't say enough good things about them. If you have a Honda or an Acura this is the ONLY place to take it in Charlotte for service. Forget the dealerships. I hate I wasted so much time and $ there.

EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS. TOLD ME ABOUT AN ISSUE THAT THE DEALER WOULD COVER EVEN THOUGH IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY, RATHER THAN CHARGING ME TO FIX IT THEMSELVES. THEY EVEN CONSULTED WITH ME ON MY SON'S CAR WHEN HE DROVE ME TO PICK UP MY VEHICLE. VERY PLEASED WITH THE EXPERIENCE.

I DISCOVERED THESE WONDERFUL PEOPLE IN THE MID-1980'S, AND SUCH A BLESSING THEY HAVE BEEN! I HAVE REPLACED EVERY VEHICLE WITH ANOTHER HONDA, SO I COULD CONTINUE TO HAVE THEM SERVICE MY CARS. MY LAST ACCORD WAS AT 213K MILES AND STILL GOING STRONG BECAUSE JOE, JOHNNY AND THE GUYS ARE SO GOOD. MY 13-YR OLD HONDA NEVER LET ME DOWN, BECAUSE THE MECHANICS TOOK GREAT CARE OF HER. I HAD NO PLANS TO REPLACE IT, BUT WAS FORCED TO WHEN AN UNINSURED DRIVER TOTALED IT IN '04. THE OLDER CARS THEY WORK ON ARE A SOURCE OF PRIDE FOR THEM. THEY ARE HONEST AND TRUSTWORTHY. YOU KNOW WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE AND HOW MUCH IT WILL COST BEFORE THEY DO THE WORK. THEY WILL LOCATE THE MOST COST-EFFECTIVE PARTS IF AVAILABLE, AND GIVE YOU THE SAME WARRANTY AS NEW. THE CAR WILL BE READY WHEN THEY SAY IT WILL--ALWAYS BY THE END OF THE DAY, IN MY EXPERIENCE. I HAVE REFERRED MANY PEOPLE TO COMPACT CAR OVER THE YEARS, AND ALL HAVE BEEN DELIGHTED WITH THEM. JOE, JOHNNY AND THE STAFF TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE FAMILY!

THEY ARE COURTEOUS, TRUTHFUL, AND GIVE VERY GOOD SERVICE.

TRUSTWORTHY, HONEST, GOOD WORKMANSHIP, AND REASONABLE PRICING.

THEY WERE EXTREMELY BUSY THAT DAY, BUT THEY DID TAKE CARE OF IT. THEY FOUND OUT THE PROBLEM WAS A CLOG IN THE AIR CONDITIONER DRAINAGE TUBE. THERE WAS NO CHARGE FOR THE SERVICE BECAUSE IT WAS A SIMPLE FIX.

HONEST, ACCURATE ESTIMATES, I TRUST THEIR OPINION, BECAUSE I HAVE CONFIDENCE THEY WON'T TRY TO PAD THE BILL.

THESE GUYS ARE SO GOOD THAT I NOW ONLY BUY HONDAS. THEY KNOW THE CARS EXTREMELY WELL, AND ARE FAIRLY PRICED. OFFICE STAFF IS GREAT.

THE MECHANIC COMES OUT, SITS DOWN AND EXPLAINS WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, AND GIVES YOU THE OPTION OF HAVING IT DONE.

WE HAVE BEEN TAKING OUR 1989 HONDA ACCORD HERE FOR YEARS. THEY ARE GREAT, HONEST MECHANICS THAT WILL NEVER TRY TO ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO ANYTHING THAT IS NOT ABSOLUTELY NEEDED. JOHNNY IS THE ONE THAT HAS WORKED ON OUR CAR THE MOST. HE'S GREAT. THIS TIME OUR CAR NEEDED A POWER STEERING PUMP AND HE SUGGESTED A USED PUMP WOULD BE JUST AS EFFECTIVE AND WOULD SAVE US ALMOST $200. I JUST WISH THEY WORKED ON TOYOTAS TOO! I HAVE THOUGHT THAT THE NEXT CAR I BUY SHOULD BE A HONDA SO I'LL BE ABLE TO KEEP THEM AS OUR MECHANIC. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS COMPANY.

THEY TRIED TO FIND THE PROBLEM AND THEY COULDN'T SO THEY DIDN'T CHARGE ME.

I WILL TAKE MY HONDA BACK THERE FOR ALL SERVICES.
