Warning light for emissions system. Called and was told to bring it in immediately. Diagnosed quickly as EGR carbon deposit. Was able to fix it, and changed the oil while I waited. Excellent and honest folks that really know their stuff. I have used them for other repairs and had the same good experience.

I even chose a Honda when I bought a new car, so that I could take it to them when I need maintenance. They will not tell me I need something if I don't, and I know I can trust them when they tell me what needs to be done.

They are very good. You don't have to wait all day on them and they do excellent work. Very trustworthy company and I would highly recommend them.

They specialize in Hondas and Acuras, which is what I have, so I go through them. I just started using them about two months ago, as opposed to using the dealership. I'm actually taking my car in tomorrow. For pricing, it was fine; it was cheaper than the dealership. For quality of work, excellent - A. The only thing I didn't like, and it's not a big deal, I'm just a little bit of a diva I guess. I'm used to the dealership, so the waiting area was a far cry from the dealership, that's all. I mean they have a business and they have some free snacks, and I know I shouldn't expect that. They have comfortable chairs; it just doesn't look like another body shop, a repair shop, know what I mean? They were fine.

They are reasonable. They are cheaper than a dealer. They are not trying to dream up stuff. I have a used vehicle so they could there is plenty they could do, but they attend to what I am going in there for. Then they will tell me of anything else that I should consider. They will also tell me that this can wait 6 months if you wanted wait 6 months. They are great to work with.

It's been a good experience, I've been with him for many years because I trust their diagnosis and get explanations and I just have to trust them. Been a customer for twenty years or something. Excellent.

They're a good company, a good place.

I have been taking my Honda's to Compact Car for 20 years now. You simply will not find a better auto service provider anywhere in Charlotte. From the front desk staff to the mechanics, to even the office's pet dog, these folks are all top notch, professional, courteous, and highly skilled at what they do. I have called many times over the years with technical questions and always get a thorough and experience-based response, even if it does not require me to bring the vehicle in to the shop. Their honesty is the quality that I value the most. I've lost count of how many times a dealership has told me that I need new brake pads or power steering fluid flush, and I've called or taken the car in to Compact Car and been told that the dealer is flat out wrong and just up-selling services that aren't required. I once drove another 8,000 miles - safely - on brakes that a dealer told me were "in the red." Compact Car backs up their recommendations with data and experience, and their pricing is incredibly fair. My only wish for an improvement recommendation would be that they start working on Subaru's, too, so that I can bring my Outback to them!

I've been using them around 20 years. They're excellent, have reasonable rates, and tell you like it is. The front desk is wonderful. They only work with Honda and Acura, and I won't buy any other car so I can continue to go to them. My car is around 20 years old and I appreciate that they keep electronic records about my car and advise me on what to do with it. They take good care of everyone.

Compact Car Service checked the heating system on my 2000 Acura TL because it had not been blowing hot air when the heat was turned on. After identifying the problem the mechanic explained the situation in detail to me and laid out the entire cost, regrettably that the part only comes from Acura, making it rather expensive. I said to proceed and my car was ready within the next hour. The total cost was still less than I expected to have to spend by over $100. Throughout the process everyone was friendly and there to please me, the customer.

I absolutely love these guys. I have a Honda and an Acura and they do all my service. They were recommended to me by a co-worker shortly after I moved to Charlotte. I had a mechanic in NJ that I absolutely loved so I was sceptical. Johnny, Keith and company are all that - and a big of chips! I took my MDX to them because one of my windows just fell down. They diagnosed the problem, told me the cost to fix it (370 ish). I was leaving the next day for a trip and that expense wasn't in my budget. I asked them if they could just put the window up and make it stay up since it was a rear window. They did that for me and off I went. It's time for oil changes, etc. for both cars so they will see me soon. I go to them for everything. They wouldn't touch my Handsfree Link and I appreciate the fact that they won't mess with what they don't know. I managed to order the part and fix it myself! The dealer wanted roughly $300 to install a part that took me 10 minutes to put in. I highly, highly recommend Compact Care!

I have a 2012 Honda Civic that I previously had been taking to the dealership for service. I was referred to Compact Car Service by neighbors and by the stellar rating on Angie's list. They explained the service, had the car done on time (actually earlier). The women in the office were pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional.

I have used Compact Car service for 10 years and have always had excellent service. They have always given me advice to minimize my cost of ownership but assure reliability

Excellent - gave me an honest opinion of the problem and found several different part options - OEM, aftermarket, scrap yard. Clutch was very expensive, but I felt comfortable having these guys perform the service based upon my past history with them. After the repair was done, they took me out to the shop to show me the old parts and what had gone wrong with them. Called two different Honda dealers to get price quotes on this service - one quoted $2400 and the other $2600.

After taking my Honda to the dealership (Hendrick) for several years, I finally got fed up with the high prices and bad service. I found Compact Car Service via recommendation from my uncle's auto service in Greensboro, Triad Auto, which works exclusively on Hondas and Acuras. Compact Car also works only on Hondas and Acuras. I have been extremely pleased with the last 2 years of service at Compact Car Service. The prices are more than reasonable, and they really know what they are talking about. They will give you candid advice about your car. They definitely do not try to "fix" something if it isn't warranted. I'm looking into buying a new car, and I will probably stick with Honda/Acura just so I can bring it to Compact Car Service.

They always do a great job on my Accura. I use David Powell at their show and he's a great mechanic, gives me all the details of what needs to be done and their pricing is very reasonable. I always take my Accura there even though it's a longer drive for me. It's worth knowing I have a trustworthy mechanic I can depend upon.

They are always good. The man who does the work tries to explain what he is doing and the people in the office are good. They don't try to sell you services you don't need.

I have taken my car to Compact Cars for several years and will continue to do so.

They are honest and fair with their pricing. They also do great quality of work and I trusted all the mechanics. They never tried to add on things to increase the bill.

I'd seen them over 15 years or probably 20 years now. I'd highly recommend them. I like the people, the respect I get and the openness as far as repairs. Before they do anything, they would run it by me. They were very nice if somebody in my budget is ready to do the work.

We are going to be picking up my son's car today. They specialize in Hondas and we have been using them for years. It's a little bit expensive. They changed my oil last week and it only cost $26.00. They work with us to keep the costs down. I would give them an A+ because if there is something wrong with your car, it's not just routine maintenance, they call you up and they say "This is what's wrong with it, the parts will be so much and the labor will be so much. If you want to get used parts you can save some money instead of ordering factory parts." They consult you on the costs and about the work before it happens instead of just presenting you with it and saying "It was this, this and this." They are honest. They are good, honest, dependable people and we won't go anywhere else.

Awesome, as usual. Fair price, on time, great service. I have been taking my Hondas to Johnnie and crew for many years now and they always provide superior service - on time, fair price, correct the first time, and detailed explanations and advice to help when making a repair decision.

The service was performed on a timely basis as usual. Oil was changed,tires rotated,belts checked,fluid levels checked. My family and I have owned five Hondas over the years. We purchase them because we know we can depend on Compact Cars for the best and most honest service.

They do Hondas. They are very trustworthy and good. I've been going to them for years.
