Compact Car Service

I think I have kind of overlooked them, but they are great. They have wonderful customer service. They are also the company I trust one hundred percent, and I know sometimes that isn’t the case where I go to places when I have my car worked on. They are just so honest, and they will charge me what is necessary, and they will not overcharge me, and they will not tell me that there work to be done that doesn’t need to be done. It’s a very ethical company that has been around for over twenty years in this area. I recommend them at every chance I get. They only thing is they work on just Honda’s and Acura’s.

They are very nice people to deal with. They are very thorough. They are pretty economical overall. The best thing about them is that I find them copiously to be honest. They are extremely honest. They will not leave you down the long path. I trust Tony enough. If they said they would change the air freshener they would do it. I would use them in the future.

I have been to Compact Cars several times and each time they have been great. I can really trust them and know that they aren't going to nickel and dime me, and tell me I need to do things to my car that don't need to be done. Their prices are reasonable and they are honest people. They also try to explain to you exactly what is going on with your car so that you have a better understanding. As long as I own a Honda or Acura, I will continue to go here

They only work on Honda or Accura; that's what they specialize in. The owner and a lot of his people used to work for a Honda dealer so they know Honda, inside and out. They are reasonable, honest and just do stuff that needs to be done; they don't do stuff just to do it, like a typical auto dealership. He takes care of both of our cars and I will use him again in the future.

John inspected my car and told me it only needed to have the rings replaced not the entire pump as stated by the dealership (total of 78 including labor, rather than 600 quoted by the Honda dealership) and I was told my tires were wearing just fine and there is no need for an alignment as stated by Honda dealership. Compact Car Service has always been exceptionally honest and trustworthy. I've asked them to replace a few items over the past 8 years and unlike most mechanics or shops who would perform the service without question, John has come back to me several times telling me he doesn't think I need to have them perform that service yet. I will never take my honda anywhere else.

They are fantastic and I have almost nothing bad that I can tell about them. I went up there because I had some problems with our car. The design of the car is such that it has individual corals for cylinder and one of them went bad and we got it replaced. Sometimes it doesn’t turn out. We have extended warranty. They tested the corals and they said us no to change that. The only thing that they changed was to replace the rubber bumper on one of our doors. All of the other diagnostic they did was zero cost and it was fantastic. When I go for and oil change also they always tell me what is wrong and whether I should it do it or should I do it later. They are always working out for long time customer service. We go no where else other than there. They specialize on Hondas. They are very courteous and amazing guys. Sometimes it’s little hard to get appointments but I usually get it next day we call them. They do a good job.

Excellent. Performed factory-recommended maintenance for well below the cost that the dealer quoted me. Checked sound in brakes and lubricated them at no additional charge. I have taken both of my Honda's to Compact Cars since discovering them 8 years ago and having them as my mechanics was a factor in purchasing a new Honda 3 years ago. I fully trust their professional diagnoses and opinions, and they will definitely not do any work that is not absolutely necessary to your car. If you take your car in for a scheduled maintenance repair and they do not feel that your car needs that specific repair, they will tell you that before doing any work and let you know when you should plan to have the repair performed.

Completed the job in a timely fashion and the price was much less than the Honda dealership!

Accommodated me with appointment times and helped to re-arrange my appointment when unable to keep the first one. Advised me the length of time I would need to wait, and they were prompt and attentive during the wait, advising me their findings on each item they were checking for me. Did not try to push me into immediate repairs on things that could wait. For catalytic converter, suggested aftermarket part (half the price) rather than new from Honda. I found the whole team very accommodating, and felt comfortable in their care.

Excellent. Repaired window by replacing window into track and adjusting rather than replacing regulator. Car has 145K, so consulted that best thing for oil consumption would be mix of heavier grade high mileage oil, rather than any engine work. They really tried to do only what was needed and communicated options to me before doing anything.

Great company. Honest and competent. I would not take my Honda anywhere else, ever.

I have had a good experience with them. They are very responsive and quick. They have personally walked me through a service before.

I asked for a quote on how much to change a bulb on the dash while they changed the headlight and oil in my car. The owner came out an talked to me about the bulb and was very honest that unless I really wanted it fixed, he'll do it, but wasn't recommending it since it would be $75 in labor, which he knew was high but it takes a lot of time and effort to get the dash off. He recommended that I wait until more bulbs burned out because the labor would be the same and I'd get more bang for the buck. The headlight that was replaced was sold to me at a very reasonable price compared to other service centers. I walked away feeling like I got a great deal for the service.

They do AMAZING work. They will tell you when something doesn't need to be done. They are 100% trustworthy and I believe everything that Johnny tells me to do. Often he hasn't charged me for little small repairs that other shops would.

They mostly work on Hondas. When they suggest that something needs to be done, I never have to wonder if they are trying to take advantage of me. They kept my daughter's car alive while she was in college. They are great people.

Compact Car Service is a very trusting and honest organization They are very good about letting you know what you will need, the next time you are in. They provide quick service. Compact Car Service has pleasant waiting rooms. The customer may stay with their car or leave it. If you choose to stay, they are very accomodating. When we had my daughters car fixed, they were a lot cheaper than any other estimate. They were also much better at diagnosing the specific problem.

We have recently bought a Honda car so we could keep using this company. They are very honest and have terrific service. They are very courteous.

Great car was ready when promised and arrangements were made to pick it up after hours.

I arrived at the shop and checked in. They changed the oil in my car and had it ready to go in around 30 minutes. The price was reasonable and the people were friendly.

Oil change and inspection were done well. I asked them to check the engine mount because of engine vibration. A Honda dealership a few weeks earlier had told me both engine mounts needed replacing for $700.00. Compact Car said only one mount needed replacing ($450) and that Honda North America had a service alert out for the engine mounts. My car was out of warranty, but Compact Car told me to call Honda North America to see if they would replace the engine mount. Compact Car did this knowing that Honda would have me go to a dealership to get the work done. Honda agreed to replace the part for free if I paid $88 labor. The dealership did the repair and determined that only one mount was bad rather than 2 mounts as originally estimated. Not only was Compact Car's original diagnosis on target (one engine mount), but they were more interested in saving me money, even if it meant they did not get the business. Compact Car gave up $450 in business in order for me to get the work done for only $88 at a dealership.

By comparison, the dealer quoted a bit more money for the parts and twice as much for the labor. Compact Car Service gave me an appointment time so I could wait for the car. They were prompt, finished quicker than expected and charged me less labor because it took less time than expected. This is my third experience with them... all great.

It went great. They are great people and a great company. They are very reasonably priced.

My old '92 Honda needed a transmission "computer" that the dealer said would cost about $800 to replace. The rep. from Compact Car informed that most people with an old car are reluctant to pay that kind of money (as I was). He said he could replace the part with a rebuilt one and he had good success with them (1 year warranty) he did. The car was in the shop for a couple of hours. Works like new. Saved over 50%.
