Michael cleared the blockage and then ran the dishwasher through a quick wash cycle in order to ensure that the dishwasher was functioning properly.  While I offered to pay him for his visit, however he cited that fixing this problem did not warrant charging me.  Michael is truly a professional and I highly recommend his services.

 I haven't had an ice maker for years and now it works perfectly. My dryer was also fixed and now it sounds brand new. It is very quiet and much different than what it used to be. He also fixed my washing machine and worked on that as well.  He is very knowledgable of all the appliances that he repaired and for the price he was very reasonable. He was also very professional.

It is simple. I called Michael. Michael came that same afternoon.
The noise that the refrigerator was making was, of course, not making noise.
Michael surmissed it could be a fan ( apparently there are 2 ) and gave us a quote to what it might cost.
However, in looking over the refrigerator as a whole he noticed a bent flap on the ice dispenser which he said should be replaced and it might be the reason fot the sounds and vibration because the air coming in might cause ice to form around a fan which would not defrost when the refrigerator normally recycles.
We knew about the flap but did not even consider that being the problem.
He said lets wait and see if that works. Well a couple of weeks later there is no noise or vibration !
So, for a $49 service call and a $12 part we have a frigerator that is working fine !

Everything went very smoothly. Accessed and repaired in 20 minutes.

Michael was punctual, courteous as well as very professional.  In addition, he offered us advice regarding preventing the issue from happening going forward. We will definitely call Cabrera Associates for future repairs.  Great guy and great company!

I called Mr. Cabrea on Sunday to see if he could come look at our dishwasher.  He answered right away and said he would be here between 9-11am on Tuesday.  On Tuesday around 12:30pm, I called Mr. Cabrea to see if he still planned on coming by to look at the dishwasher since he hadn't shown up.  He was very apologetic and said he would be there within the hour.  When he showed up after about 45 minutes (around 1:15pm), he looked at the dishwasher and almost immediately told me that it would require a new electronic control unit.  The price he quoted including labor was around $400.  I told him it was a new dishwasher and asked if an extended warranty would be cheaper, he said if it is, then that was the way he recommended even if it wasn't him fixing the dishwasher.  I appreciated his honesty, and paid him $90 for the 10 minutes it took for him to look at it.  After purchasing the extended warranty, another provider came out and looked at the dishwasher.  The new provider (not Cabrea's) looked at the dishwasher for 15 minutes, actually got down and looked in the motor and found a chipped piece of plate blocking the motor from working.  He removed it, and now the dishwasher is working perfectly.  I feel like I was cheated out of $90 for Mr. Cabrea to not really effectively look at the dishwasher.  If he would have, it would have saved us a lot of money.

Called company and had someone here to look at the issue within 3 hours (no rush service requested, only asked if someone was available to come today).  It was simple fix, but the provider was extremely quick and very fair on pricing.

Our dryer is about 10 years old and was having problems.  Cabrea identified and fixed the issues and now the dryer is working great again.  I would use them again.

We discovered that when removing the water filter for our ice maker/water dispenser, that water would gush out from underneath the refrigerator.  Not having prior experience with large appliance repair, we consulted Angie's List and found Cabrera Associates.  An appointment was scheduled and Mike Cabrera came out one day, diagnosed the problem, ordered the necessary part and had it installed the morning of the next day.  He was even able to arrive earlier because the part was available sooner.  We decided to go with Cabrera because they do not seem like a large company and we are trying to support small business.  I think that was a wise decision that paid off because someone who really cared and was eager to please did the work.  I found the pricing to be very reasonable as well.  Not only that, they are located within 2 miles of my house.  I am keeping his card handy because we have a 20 year old washer that might want some attention and we will know who to call.

Our washing machine broke on a Saturday. With four kids this was an emergency. Mr. Cabrera came out and fixed it that day with no extra charge for coming out on the weekend. He had to replace a part, which he had with him. Now the washing machine is running perfectly. He was very nice, honest, and professional.

Overall this was an easy experience. I was able to set the time for the repair to fit into my schedule. Do consider using Michael Cabrera for large appliance repairs.

Michael was able to come out the same day.  He was prompt and very professional.  He quickly fixed the problem.  He also shared a few tips to keep the dishwasher running at its best performance.  I would definitely use this company again.
