Advance seemed to check everything thoroughly around the plumbing fixtures and in the crawl space, but could not find the problem. The plumber was checking at a time when there was no odor, so I realize that made it more difficult to check. Another plumber checked a week later and also almost missed it, but then found the problem after doing another inspection just before he left. A toilet flange had cracked, so the second plumber replaced it.

Chris and Janet are great! My pump broke and I was out of water. Janet scheduled a consultation immediately. Chris came early in the morning, quickly assessed the situation, offered me options and prices. It cost more than I wanted to spend, but after talking with Chris it was easy to tell this man knows his business. He was able to tell me everything about the well I asked him. He explained very clearly how the system worked and what the problem was, and he offered both a short-term fix and a more expensive long-term solution. I'm one of those people who feels that you get what you pay for, and I want the job done right the first time so I went for the long-term solution. Very friendly and professional and interesting to talk to. He's also well connected: He had an electrician he knows who lives right up the street come and re-work some wiring to accommodate the electrical needs of the new pump the same morning he was there. Chris did such a good job I don't think I'll need his services again anytime soon, but if you have well, plumbing or water issues I highly recommend Advance Pumps and Plumbing.

He is local. He does amazing business, but he can't keep up with everything. He is just a single person. We rent so I don't know how much the job cost. We are in a family partnership and the partnership pays. I do not know what the bill was. He is very professional. He comes in and doesn't leave a trace. You don't even know he has been here until you see the replaced piece sitting outside. He is very courteous. He does amazing work. We have been using him for probably 30 years. He is great. He is probably a little more expensive. The only thing is if somebody doesn't have water and you have a leak, he is going to go the person that doesn't have water first. That is what all plumbers do.

Their service has been great. They charge on an hourly basis. I will use them again in the future.

He came out, looked around, decided we needed to replace the bathtub hardware. Then he drove to Carrboro and bought the parts, came back and installed them. He actually charged us for the hour and a half he spent getting the parts (about a hundred an hour) and he did absolutely nothing to help us. We had to hire someone else to fix it(less than a hundred dollars). STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY -RIPOFF!!!

Chris is amazing. We have used Chris for years. He's incredibly professional, uses the triage approach to responsiveness (this time, he showed up the same day). His prices per hour are perhaps higher than some, BUT he's faster than most, never ever has to fix work he's done, and is very experienced. He is definitely a master plumber.

CALL THIS ONE BEFORE ANYONE ELSE. THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE, THEY CAME OUT ON CHRISTMAS EVE TO UNPLUG THE TOILET. THEY GIVE US A COST ESTIMATE AND IT ALWAYS FALLS WITHIN $50 EACH TIME.

WE HAVE USED THIS COMPANY FOR THE PAST TWENTY YEARS. ALTHOUGH THE PRICE OF A PLUMBER IS HIGH, HE DOES A GREAT JOB! WE LIKE TO USE OUR LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES, NOT THE ONES WITH A LOT OF EMPLOYEES.
