I called Mid-Delta to investigate water leaking from my air handler. The guy came out the next day and immediately diagnosed the problem. As the entire systems was nearing the end of it's lifespan, I asked for a quote on replacing everything except the ductwork. Mike (the boss) said he would contact me with a quote by Friday (2 days hence). I got a bit worried when I didn't hear from him, but in his defense, it was a holiday weekend. He called as soon as the holiday was over and gave me what I considered a reasonable quote and said he could have a crew out the next morning. The crew showed up bright and early the next morning (Mike even called to let me know they be arriving earlier than planned so that I could be sure to be up and dressed!) The guys got straight to work. Mike showed up to check on them about 1/3 way through the job. They were extremely polite and professional. While they were working, I heard several comments such as "While were at it, let's just fix this!" and "Let's do it like this... might as well make it look good, too!" In fact, had the old system been installed the way these guys did it, I would have been able to see the cause of the leak myself! They cleaned up behind themselves before leaving for lunch (from which they returned when they said they would) and cleaned up again at the end of the job. They also used a dropcloth through the entire process to protect my floors. One of the steps on my attic staircase was broken, so they said, "Ma'am, do you mind if we fix your step?" (Do I mind if you fix things I'm not paying you to fix???? Uhhhh... No, I don't mind.) Now, I know, it made their job easier with the step fixed, but they could have used it as an excuse not to do the work. Instead, they went the extra mile. They also asked permission before driving the truck on the lawn to bring the a/c unit to the back yard. And, they reinstalled the air return grate (which we removed when we took paneling down but hadn't replaced b/c we didn't have the proper screws). They even told me where to download instructions on how to use my programmable thermostat. Now, as I was filling out this report, I realized that they hadn't collected any money, so I wondered if the bill would be for what was quoted. The bill arrived a week later for the exact amount of the estimate. Everyone I dealt with at Mid-Delta (I neglected to mention the helpful woman on the phone) was extremely polite, professional, and seemed eagar to solve my problem. I couldn't be more pleased... a fair price and excellent the service!
