He had sent a tech out about 2 weeks prior and the tech tightened wires and the furnace worked ok for about 2 weeks. The 1st tech gave us a 90 day warranty on the service call. The furnace started doing the same problem again. David diagnosed the problem over the phone without coming out and looking at the furnace. He said it needed a new circuit board for the price of 459.81 (147.00 on line). So the circuit board was installed. Mind you the labor was under a 90 day warranty. It still didn't work so now we needed an ignitor for another $210. It was 47.00 on line. We wouldn't let him put the old circuit board back in because he had laid it down on a damp concrete floor(electronics don't like damp). He finally took off 110.00 off the ignitor price for a grand total of 559.81. He tried to say he had to pay for gas etc but this trip was on him as it was under warranty. He was defiant and the tech he had with him did nothing except screw the furnace door on and off. When the tech brought the ignitor in the connections didn't fit so he just cut them off and used electric tape. He took all the used parts with him so we can't check to see if they were bad or not. He was also 4 hours late getting to our address. I gave David the copy of the on line prices and it didn't seem to bother him.
