Penny Window

I called for an estimate - the person who set the appt was very friendly. My appt was set for the day I could be off work. I was pleased with the way they handled the estimate. I thought I needed 3 new windows and they told me one could be repaired which would be less expensive. I was pleased with the quote and gave them a deposit. I was told they would call in 2 weeks to set up the install. They did call back in 2 weeks and we set up the install within a few days. The installers called about 30 minutes before the time of the appt and asked if it was ok to come out then and it was. They worked quickly and efficiently - showed me how the windows work and the warrenty. They also cleaned up well after themselves. I will definately call on them again when I am ready to replace more windows.

The overall estimate went well. Very professional and curtious. We has a window that had been giving us problems he fixed that as well. Impressed!!!! I would be willing to tell family and friends how goog their service was. Great job.

The guys from Penny Window were fantastic. They were on-time, professional, friendly and clean. I had 11 windows replaced in my home and they had the job completely done in 7 hours. They were very neat inside the house and outside as well. I had skylights replaced and gutter covers installed by other companies the same day and everyone had to work around each other. No one complained and everyone seemed to work together well.

Our experience with Penny Window was positive on all levels. We needed a window pane replaced and they were completely familiar with the brand of window we have, offered us a competitive price, were prompt and fast with the work we had done. I can't think of anything Penny Window could have done that would have made our experience more positive.

Good. The workman arrived promptly and inspected the window completely. He explained to me how the window worked in my home and how I could maintain it. He did not believe that the window was leaking, but thought it was another problem and gave me several ideas on how I might be able to remedy it. One of his ideas turned out to be the problem and we were able to fix it. He was very helpful in figuring out what was causing our problem.

They were great, the installers were very good. Salesman, Chuck measured kitchen window wrong, so had to re order window and wait for 3 weeks for install after other house windows installed.

I contacted Penny Window after calling many different companies. When Penny came for the estimate, they were on time and very knowledgeable. They did not spouting off all types of terms to try and get me to buy their window. Their estimate was very reasonable so I went with them. They said the window would take 3 weeks to get in and that was exactly right. The appointment was then set up to install. They were supposed to arrive between 8-8:30. They came as scheduled and completed the work in a timely, professional, and clean manner. I would definitely recommend Penny Window.

The company replaced 5 windows. We had hired them to replace 3 other windows previously and had been well pleased at that time, too. We like the windows very much and are very pleased with the company's response and work. They called the day before, came when they said they would, got the work done earlier than I expected, cleaned up the areas completey, and were very courteous and professional workers. I might just add, the price of "good" above is about as high as I usually give unless it is exceptionally low for windows of comparable market. I was pleased with the price.

Ive used penny window a couple of times now to fix broken windows at my rental properties. They are always quick to respond, arrange repairs with my tenants, and do quality work.

Salesman was on time, courteous, explained options, told date of delivery, installation went as promised and no mess was left. Very satisfied and highly recommend.

Two installers arrived on time, took out old windows and started prepping for the new windows. Worked until they were done. Filled out paperwork cleaned up their job and left. A very good job!

I called them like on a Wednesday, and they came out to fix it on a Thursday. I had the other guy there too. He just fixed the window and left. It did not take him long. There wasn’t much of an interaction with him. I was probably helping out the other guy because I had both of them out at the same time. He was quick and easy. He got the job done, and he did a great job. He was fairly priced.

They did a good job. I didn't have any problems with them. Their price was fair. We told them what time we had and they said "no problem", they got it done quickly and I have never had a problem with it since.

Penny Window. I am almost sure that is who she used. I'm about 99% sure. I am almost sure that is the one she used and she was very satisfied with the price and the work. She was very happy with them, they came out they gave her an estimate. He came out and did the work in a timely manner and she is satisfied with it. Jim even went over and checked it out and said it was good work. It was within the past two weeks. The closest I can get is late February. It was $250. She seemed to like the man from Penny Window better than the other one that gave her a quote. He even went out and straightened a few things out for her for no extra charge. The louvres and her vent for her attic. The louvres in her attic on the vent, they were all bent up and he went up and straightened those out for her at no extra charge. He was nice. She liked him. Some of the aluminum that goes up on your roof, I've been told that flashing tops off the top of your siding, it flew off of her house. So he came out and did that for her. I know she liked, if this makes any difference at all, she liked interacting and talking to him more than she liked talking to the man who came out and gave her the estimate for the other window company, for the other guy who would have done it. The guy was congenial and friendly and she thought that was more important than the other guy who was kind of straight business and yes and no.

The overall job went as expected. I am very pleased with the windows and all of the folks that came to my home. I had gone to Penny Window in the past to have a window repaired. They were very nice and willing to answer all my questions. So when the time came to replace my bay windows I contacted them. I am glad I did. I will contact them again when I decide to replace other windows or doors.

They were very competent. They gave me a fair price, so I went with them. They had an answer for everything I asked, they were able to quote on the spot, and they knew what they were talking about.

The work went very well. The gentleman that came to give the estimate was very professional and friendly. He was quite knowledgable and took the time he needed to give the estimate. His estimate was about $300 lower than the other company I received an estimate from. On the day the window was installed, two men arrived to do the job. They were courteous and professional. They did the job well and answered all the questions I had. They were about 1/2 an hour late, but they called to let me know. They did have to drive through downtown St. Louis traffic to get to me, so I really wasn't surprised that they were a little late. The window looks beautiful. They took the time to show me how to remove it in case of fire and also showed me the basic lock/unlock function of the window. I expect it to serve us well for many years.

They were very responsive from the very beginning and came on time on the appointment. We were very happy with their conduct. There was no service rendered later because we decided that the service was not needed.

Called for an estimate, estimater came December 13th 2012 at 1:30PM. Said frame needed to be replaced, the sliding door was fine. Didn't leave written estimate, never heard anything. Called them following week, lady in office told me the estimator was out sick with a cold, will call me back when he brings estimate into the office. I thought all this was strange, why didn't he leave it the day he came to the house and then not even turn it into the office?? Next day, lady in office called me back and she told me the estimate was for a Bronze Aluminum Patio Door, cost plus install was $1157.31-what!!!? He said glass door was fine, what happen to frame estimate?? Estimator must have overdosed on cold medicine, a waste of time.

I needed to have glass replaced in a vinyl window. I had the new glass and the old vinyl window. I communicated with Penny Window about the task and was very pleased with the courteous way I was treated on the phone. I brought my glass and window to the office and they made the repair in less than 15 minutes. I appreciated the quick service and the courteous professionalism of all I interacted with.

I got four estimates for window replacement. Penny Window was by far the cheapest over the others. Since I had used them in a previous house, I knew the type of product and service they provided was really good. When the estimator came out he was about $150 higher than what I'd been quoted over the phone. When I showed him what I'd written down and who I'd talked to, he honored that price. He said he didn't want me to think they were trying to pull a bait and switch on me. That shows integrity. On the day of install the guys were here 15 minutes early and started work immediately. I asked if they could possibly caulk around a bedroom window for me if they had time. Not only did they caulk the window, they didn't charge me anything additional for doing it. The only down side with this company is it took a week to get someone out to give an estimate. The windows took two weeks to order, which was normal, but once they came in, I had to wait three weeks for install. I guess it just shows how busy they are.

As good an experience as we could imagine. We got five estimates to do this work before we hired Penny Window. Their bid was the lowest of the five. Two of the other bids were three times the price! Do get multiple bids on any contracting job you want to do! Then from start to finish the work went as smoothly as could be. Penny window showed up first. They measured inside and outside and then cut the drywall. Then the cement cutters showed up and cut the concrete. The window was installed, all the concrete and stuff was carted away, and when it was all over you could hardly tell that anyone had been here. Excellent service all around!

I contacted Penny Window based on a friend's recommendation and reseraching them on Angie's List. I found their estimate to be fairly priced for what I needed and they came back out 2 weeks later to install. They showed up on time, cleaned the glass before installing (I could barely tell it was installed), and caulked around the frame to ensure a good seal. I was very happy with their work.

Excellent. Came for an estimate, finished very quickly, ordered the appropriate glass and installed them efficiently a couple weeks later.

Job went great. They were professional when they showed up and asked good questions. They looked at each window and recorded what work needed to be completed and gave us a quote. We paid half up front and they ordered material and were back in 10 days to perform the install. The install took 4 hours. They made new window pane frames and replaced them one at a time. They all fit well. Two of our windows are 50" x 55" and those were replaced as well with the main frame staying in place - just the window pane frame was replaced. The workers were friendly, courteous, and answered all our questions. We even identified two other windows that had broken seals when they were doing the install. They gave us a quote for those and got the repair items on order right away. They came back in 10 days and replaced the two remaining window pane frames. All the screens that they repaired fit well and were nicely done. The screen door at the kitchen was repaired and they needed to do it in place - nice job there too. They workers were professional and pleasant to be around. Their workmanship is impressive and their repairs are exactly what was needed. Great work!
