Michael's Work

Fixed various items around the house including: floor boards of enclosed porch and painted the floor, installed screen doors, fixed Casablanca fans, ripped out carpeting and installed peel and stick flooring in laundry room. Michael was responsive and accommodating and his workers did a good job.

Cleaned the gutters on a two story home.

.Not well. Three men came but only one was a painter consequently I didn't feel like I got my monies worth. The guy that could paint spent a lot of time supervising the two that were not painters They did not come with any spackle to fix spots on the wall. They had only one drop cloth that did not cover rhe entire area hence after they left I found some paints spots on my rug. I could of done a better job then they did..

After I emailed the contractor (as opposed to him contacting me to schedule as he was supposed to), it took him 3 weeks to find time for a visit, then he rescheduled. In the end, nobody showed up and our gutters are still dirty.

I called Michael's Work to get a bid to remove some wallpaper. He came over and gave me a great bid to do it. I will be calling back when my funds are better.

Gave the provider three dates to pick from. Bad weather caused a reschedule. Provider picked new date. No call, No show...Just want my money back..Needed gutters cleaned before winter freezes.....Not a lot of faith in Angie's List anymore...

overall not good, he says professional painter but really jack of all trades did not have all correct equipment to get job done correctly, i had to offer a ladder he did not cut in the rooms before painting the walls leaving a brush marks mainly everywhere our bathroom was last part of project and there are numerous areas that there is still bleed through from prior paint color all bathroom needs another coat of which i have to hire another painter to do his additional worker the first day was still hung over from the night before and smelled like a bottle of booze he broke my hose reel that is attached to my home and did not tell me about he washed out paint buckets in my yard and noticed today that all the snow melted that paint chips are all over my yard he never made it on time once that he said he would be here he was suppose to come on a sunday to finish last project but asked if he could come on tuesday instead because it was football sunday and needed to relax he gave me an estimate of an additional $200 for more than the 2500 sq ft but then on the day of starting he said it would be $400 plus he also asked for another $150 because he said he had to paint some walls 3 times he left areas uncompleted that i had to point out for him to complete from one day to another i would never recommend him to anyone and i am displeased that angies list even has him on here a recommend it makes me wonder about reputation of future angies list and dont know if i will renew my subscription again

Provider sent e-mail early in morning to say having car trouble, but would get it fixed and still be here Friday. provider sent several e-mails saying work not done on car, but would still be here and would work Sunday, if necessary. I made several phone calls requesting a call back and received no response. I made a final phone call Saturday morning and after no call back, I hired another contractor. I did receive an e-mail later saying first contractor would be here Sunday, but too late.

Michael and his crew painted several rooms in our house and did a great job. He quoted me a reasonable price and got right to work at the scheduled time. He and his crew worked their butts off. Stayed at our home until 1 am to finish the job!!! The rooms looks excellent. This is our second time using him and we are very pleased. You will be too!

No show. I wasted valuable time and energy trying to work with these people. You take the chance.. Maybe it will work out for you. it didn't for me.

Best Angie's List contractor we've ever had. Very good communication leading up to the job and at the site. Entire crew has very pleasant, professional disposition. Their attention to detail was fantastic. We wound up going way beyond the terms of the Angie's List "deal" that we purchased, but Mike was very fair in what he/they charged for the extra work. Really can't say enough good stuff about these guys. Angie's List deal or no, we'll be calling Michael's Work in the future?and if you need paintwork, you should too.

It went great. Michael came out about a week before the work to look over the job to see what I needed done. Him and his team came back about a week later and got straight to work. Michael came with a team of 3 painters. They were all very professional and courteous. They started around 9:00 am and left around 6:30 pm. They were neat and put everything back the way that they found it. Their painting skills were excellent.

Michael did a great job. He not only removed the debris from the gutters and downspouts, but he made minor repairs as he discovered the need. He checked with me first and told me if there would be any additional cost. He and his helper are gentlemen. They were knowledgeable and helpful. I am sure I will use this service again.

Purchased 2 painters for 8 hours each turned into 4 painters for 4 hours. However, what actually happened was one real painter and 3 helpers.

Michael provided all intended services (gutter cleaning) and more. He did not "push" for any repairs that needed to be made, but suggested items and repaired them at a very reasonable price. I purchased gutter cleaning from Michael due to an Angie's List coupon, and definitely intend to use him for our needs in the future. Thanks, Michael! Great job!

There were considerable challenges in scheduling services initially. And then there were problems with those commitments (recurring car problems). The workers were clearly not professional painters--I've worked with several better services for painting on Angie's List. Quality was spotty, missing some spots, bubbles in others. They completed less work than my expectations. From the positive side, the owner was pleasant, his team equally so.

Michael's team painted a large finished basement and stairwell. The quality of the work was great and priced right. Michael is coming back to paint our first floor in a couple weeks.

After a bumpy communication start Michael showed up and did a GREAT job!! I will use again!!

I bought it as a gift. It was a little difficult getting a hold of them, but it turned out fine.

Our house looks fabulous. Michael went to the house and gave us an estimate and we were able to negotiate more painting than we had anticipated at a very reasonable additional price. Michael helped me determine how to pick out the color online and it is exactly what I wanted. The crew was punctual, neat, and left no mess to clean up (very important!). All of this was done long distance, as we were out of town at the time. The most important part of this job is that the finished work looks crisp and even. I would definitely have Michaels Work paint more for me but there's nothing left to paint! He did it all!!!

When we finally agreed to a date and time to do the work, Michael did an excellent job of painting the walls of the main hall way. This is a high traffic zone and we had drywall repair in one area. Michael and his assistant completed the task in a neat and timely manner. I am now very proud of this part of my home.!!!!

Although somewhat slow to respond to phone calls initially, once we settled on the details Mike kept in touch with me. On the day of the job, he called to say they would be late, but once they started, it was a professional paint job all the way. Mike left two painters here and checked up on them by phone. He came in and helped them finish up so they could have their lunch and they did an excellent job. They used dropcloths and were very careful to not make a mess, not even one drop of paint on my new wood floor. Mike made very sure I was satisfied and that I was happy with the job before they took off. Looks amazing and trim work outstanding.

They were scheduled to arrive at 8am on the 9th of October. It was well after 8am when they called and said one of their employees had car trouble so they would be out around 9am. That time came and went and he called again and said they would be out around 10am. They finally arrived at 9:50am. They quickly set up and started working. Everyone worked hard and did a good job. Around 5pm the paint was about out, we had purchased the paint. I ran and got another gallon and they continued working until it was too dark. They were not finished, he told me the back of the house was not accepting the paint very well for some reason and asked if they could return the next day saying he had another hour and a half of work. He told me they would be out a little after 4pm so I took the afternoon off. The next day he called me close to five and said he had work to finish on the job he was on and asked when would be convienent for us. Fortunately we were off the next day so I told him they would be out at 1pm. They did arrive at the appointed time and started working. We had purchased 2 of the deals and we had used up that time. He graciously charged us the amount that we paid for the package. They finished the job around 5pm. They did a good job, however there was overspray on the soffits and the screen and basement window that was recently installed. They did clean up some of it on the other basement windows and he said he could clean up the rest on the clock. My husband and I had plans and had to leave so my husband said that he would clean it. I don't think I would use them again because of the time delays.
