Description of Work: I made the appt. Â approximately 3-4 weeks ago. It was for Monday , February 18th at 9a.m. At 9 , that day ,I received a text message " I tried reaching you to see if we could reschedule for tomorrow or another day if best for you. Michael 314 951 4069. " I called immediately. He said he " tried to reach me the previous Friday on a different number that wasn't mine( obviously he had the right number on Monday because he sent a text message). I informed him that I had taken the day off work, purchased the paint and moved furniture and could not reschedule this week, that I was working the rest of the week.. I could also not afford to miss another day of work. He said he would try and find someone who could come do the job. At 9:25 , he called back and said he was trying to " get a hold of one of his guys." " I will call you right back. " . At the time I am writing this review , it is 12:00 . No response. This is very unprofessional and just rude. After reading other reviews, I see that I am not alone.

Description of Work: They cleaned all of our gutters. Our house is a large 2 story. They were very professional. They cleaned all gutters & took debris with them.

Description of Work: Michael and Joe installed a dining room fixture from the Angie's list coupon I purchased and fixed some cracks in the dry wall columns in my dining room. Michael then gave me a very reasonable estimate of the cost of removing the wallpaper and painting the crown moulding, walls, ceiling and trim and installed a dimmer switch for my new fixture. His work (and his worker, Joe), were punctual, professional, did precise and excellent work and the finished product looks terrific. Michael told me that the project would take two days and he was absolutely on time and within budget. I would recommend him and use his services again!

Description of Work: Michael was late arriving, something about truck problems. They were supposed to arrive at 8 but were at least 2 hrs late. Their work quality - painting my front porch / deck and railings - was sub-standard. I had power-washed the day before in prep, and thought the deck had dried sufficiently. I asked Michael about this and he said it should be fine. Well, it wasn't fine at all. The day after they left, the paint bubbled up everywhere, indicating water trapped under the new paint. Also upsetting were their work habits. Michael spent a lot of time on his cell phone, working lazily while sitting on my porch, painting a rail with one hand and holding his phone in the other. And they left cigarette butts, several, right on my porch surface, which I had to clean up. For lunch, instead of bringing lunch in a cooler as many contractors do, they left the worksite for over an hour, meaning they had to work past dusk just to give me the 8 hours I purchased. All in all, a very unsatisfactory experience.

Description of Work: I did not use this company..the service was cancelled because they just showed up at my house while I was at work. They called me and said they were up on my roof! That really ticked me off because you don't clean gutters while standing on the roof..it's a safety/risk hazard. How do I know that? Well, I'm in the insurance business. Your company refunded my money which I appreciated and the service was cancelled.

Description of Work: The price I paid included replacing some gutter covers, Michael and his team were fast and polite. There was a mix up on the appointment time but other than that I was happy.

Description of Work: He fixed a window latch and sanded the hardwood floor and tile in the kitchen.

Description of Work: Mike promptly provided an estimate. He also said the job would take 3 days (It was completed in 2 days.) At times he had as many as 6 people working. All were unfailingly polite and competent. I would recommend Mike's Work. to anyone. As a bonus, his team removed my TV antenna (which my wife had requested) at no charge.

Description of Work: Got this on a 'Deal'. When I called him, I guess he sensed my need to have the gutters cleaned very soon. He said 'We'll get you yet today". They came when it was nearly dark! First, it's not safe to have guys on the roof at dusk; secondly, I had assumed they'd clean the downspouts too since past service providers have done this. They did not flush the downspouts. (Probably because it got too dark.) I 'may' use their services in the future because Mike was really nice and clearly wanted to please me.

Description of Work: After a rough start (missed the first scheduled meeting and was late to the 2nd scheduled time), they showed up and I had them put in a doggie door, fix 2 lights and put in a ceiling fan. All jobs were done well and they cleaned up after themselves.

Description of Work: I purchased a gutter cleaning job from Angie's List for Michael's work for $75. There was some confusion as to the day/time when the work was to be done. I do not remember the exaxt details but he changed the date a couple of times and then came unanounced to do the job. After having started to clean my gutters, he told me that the job was too big for the $75 I had paid. He wanted an extra $100. When I balked, he gave me a "discount" and I paid an additional $75. He did a good job and did clean up the mess he made during the cleaning.

Description of Work: I purchased a special gutter cleaning deal for $75. After an initial contact, the company was a no- show. There was follow up with a phone call, but another no show. He seems very nice, but not organized.

Description of Work: The work is of very good quality. There was some confusion getting the date scheduled, but they were prompt and did a good job. My only complaint was that they left some messes--dirt on floors in the house and cigarette butts on the front walk.

Description of Work: The team from Michaels Works was very friendly and approachable. I didnt feel as though they were an experienced team. If I used them again it would be for simple repairs and projects.

Description of Work: He cleaned very dirty gutters per an Angie's List "big deal". The work was completed promptly. I was afraid there would be a mess on the ground, but they cleaned up very well.

Description of Work: I had the gutters cleaned. I was told a downspout was clogged and the provider said that normally he would charge an additional amount to clean the downspout but he did not charge me. I thought downspouts were part of cleaning the gutters. I also had a difficult time reaching him, tried email because his voicemail was full. He was polite and nice but talked on the phone the whole time while another person did the work.
