Michael's Work

They scraped two of my windows. They painted two of my windows also. They came with the semi gloss paint. They repaired a hole in my basement wall. They filled it in doing a good job. Plaster wall.They were terrific.

I had purchased the 'Big Deal' Michael did contact me pretty quick to see if I was ready to set up a time. I was impressed with that. I set up a time and took off work to be at home. Michael called around 8:15 that day and said his truck broke down and he would not be able to make the appointment. I told him he was late in calling because the appointment was for 8:00 but he had down 8:30. He did say he would give me an extra half hour of work. I emailed him a month or two after that to set up another time. He agreed to the time and, I again took off work. He did not show up and did not call.

A little trouble connecting over the phone to schedule, but once contact was made ... prompt and good service.

MICHAEL WAS PUNCTUAL AND PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE.

I felt like he didn't want to do it because he never got back to me.

He scheduled two appointments and missed both. He didn’t show. He asked me to be there the second time and still missed. I called him yesterday and he told me he would be here today. I asked for a time. He told me between 12 and 2. He asked me to be there so he could show me some other things that they do. I’ve call back 3 times and there has been no answer. I requested a refund of the Deal.

Purchased a big deal for 8 man hours at 300.00. Job was completed in one day and I was very satisified with the job. Since it was the exterior of the house I asked for an estimate to perform a second coat at a later date. I was given that estimate and went with it. Very pleased with the job performed

They were professional, neat and cleaned up after. Sorry I don't remember the date they were here. The cost was whatever the deal was and it was worth it.

I purchased this as a "Big Deal" for $75 on September 1st because it included a "tune-up" or adjustment of the gutters. I typically have no problem cleaning my own gutters, but thought this might be a good opportunity to correct the angle of one of the gutters where water would collect instead of flowing down the spout. Since the deal specified that I should call to make an appointment, I thought I would wait until later in the fall when the gutters would be full of leaves and acorns and would need a good cleaning. I could also explain when I called about the adjustment needed with one of the gutters so that was not a surprise. We were on vacation the last two weeks of September and returned on October 4th. When we were about 30 minutes from home I got a call from the company on my cell phone saying they were at the house doing the job! They said they had tried to call the home phone a number of times, but getting no response, decided to go ahead because they were in the area. A neighbor we had asked to watch our home came over to see what was happening and that was when they called my cell phone to let us know they were there. I told them I was surprised that they were working on the job in our absence (so much for waiting until later in the fall!), but since they were there, would they please correct the angle of the one gutter I was concerned about. I was told that this was out of the scope of the offer since it would require a lot more than just raising the low side of the gutter. Instead it would require removing and re-attaching both the gutter and the downspout. I expressed a disappointment that they had not waited for me to talk with them ahead of time so I could understand what was included by a "tune-up", but asked what they would charge extra to do it. The offer of an additional $70 seemed quite reasonable. I was under a tight schedule and needed to leave again right after arriving home, but the crew seemed pleasant and competent. I was not able to be there and actually witness what was required to fix the gutter like I would have liked to do. (I like to watch so I can better appreciate the difficulty of such work, but because of the surprise visit, this was not possible.) I noticed on the company's business card that they also do tuck pointing, and asked them to give us a quote on some work we needed done. I have not yet heard back from them, but would consider them among others. Interestingly, I see that a new Big Deal from Michael's Work omits "tune-up" from the gutter cleaning offer.

Went very well although I had to give them a deadline date to be done. Excellent work. They did everything I asked them to do including cleaning up the extra dirt and taking the old rotten wood away.

We had an excelent experience. Michaels Work crew are professional, polite and knowledgeable of thier trade. They do not waste time. Each project was completed professionally. We are very pleased with their enthusiasm and attention to detail. We have asked them to return in one week to perform more tasks around the house. We appreciate good workman who care about their profession and the results of same.

It was a bit of a struggle to set up. Michael does good work, but would suggest a bit more diligence in setting up appointments and keeping them. We set up appointment and then Michael canceled due to overbooking, which was frustrating as we had adjusted our schedules to be at the house, only to have him cancel. Overall he did a good job, was quick and efficient. We would use him again.

Work was through an Angie's List Deal, and it was top-quality. We have a gutter-top system, and the workers had to remove the gutters to clean them. We were able to discuss this first, the problems were pointed out, and options discussed. We were charged a bit more for this, but we understood the difficulties and gladly paid for the service. I will use this company again, and will check into their other services.

It went great. I got a great price and they did a wonderful job. I am very satisfied with the work.

The great bargain of the angies list coupon turned to be a huge disappointment since we will have to have it re-done. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

I was overall very happy with the performance of the job and was quite happy with the final outcome. We plan on using him in the next couple months.

I contacted them on 9/04/12 and left a message. I was called back within an hour or so. I spoke with Micheal, he said he would speak with his crew and call back within two hours.. He never did. I called back on 9/07/12, Micheal said that I was on the schedule and that they would be there in the morning on 9/08/12. No one showed up. I called again 9/10/12 and left a message to contact me in reference to the appoint. I haven't heard anything since. I called Angie's List and asked for a refund because I feel that I can't rely on this company to provide quality work if they will not provide quality customer service.

I kept putting off calling and making the appointment, but Michael was kind enough to perform the service when he was in the area one day. He left us a note on the porch along with the cause of our blocked gutters: three tennis balls and a baseball. Since I usesd a coupon and it was pre-paid, I never met Michael, but would use his company again.

Not Comlplicated. Called and sety up appointment. They came and did the job. Left an invoice for payment to be mailed in.

Amount paid to date for unsatisfactory work is $75.00 for gutter deal not completed satisfactorily and porch roof $250.00 half completed. Now I am looking at another $500.00 to fix the problem still in existence with another Angie's List company. I am not fully confident in process used in selecting companies to be on the list.

I was not at home when work performed but appears to be complete.

Mike is a nice guy and he answers his phone most of the time. I called him to confirm our 8:30am appointment. He called me back and told me he had his truck in the shop and couldn't make it on time. He said he would call me when he's ready to leave. Mike has been very polite and he did call me later when he was ready to leave. He and his partner came around noon and got the gutters cleaned and siding repaired. They worked pretty fast and left no mess. I won't know the result of the siding repair until the next inspector examines it. I hope it would pass the inspection. If it passes the inspection, I will definitely use Mike and his crew again.
