Pleasant Hill Appliance Repair

The address given is actually for Stanley-Edenburn Funeral Home. May want to do more research before using this company. First BIG RED flag. Website doesn't work/exist either. The guy that came out wanted information and signature up front. Fortunately my MIL didn't fill it out or sign it. Guy didn't have proper tools and really didn't do anything.

THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT USE THEM. They collect your credit card to "secure" your appointment, then they call back and cancel the appointment due to "no technician available". ANGI - Please remove this SCAM from your network.

On July 1st, my washer broke. I called this company to request service on my washer.  I was hoping to keep the service local, as I was new to the area. An appointment was scheduled for July 2nd, a Wednesday between 8 and 11 am.    I received a phone call at 10 am, July 2nd, that their truck was broken down.  They asked if it was okay to reschedule for Monday July 7th?  I said I would see if I could get someone else before the holiday weekend. If not, I would reschedule. 

On July 3rd, I noticed that a pending charge from the company was still on my credit card.  I call them to ask if it could be taken off, and they said not to worry about it--it's just a hold.  They asked me if I would like to reschedule, and I said that would be great. I was hoping this was just an unfortunate circumstance of bad timing.

Well, a week later, on that Monday, I waited for the appointment between 8 am and 11 am.  I received a phone call that their trucks were still down.  That phone call came in at 11 am. 

My question is:  if the trucks were down, why did they waste my time waiting for them?  And why is there is still a pending hold of $55 on my credit card?  I am sorry there is an issue with their trucks, however I waited a week without a washer to give them an opportunity for business.
