Overall, I was pleased with their work. It was an unseasonably warm January day so the contrasts (leaks) were not as pronounced as they may have been on a colder day, but still pointed out the potential areas of concern. SInce I had recently had steel siding put on the house (sealed first with tyvek) and had all windows replaced with triple pane energy efficient windows, my house actually was rather well insulated with minimal leaks.

Overall it went very well. They were very cooperative with the need to change the work date & the clean up after the work was excellent. Very pleased.

Overall, it was a pretty good experience. But I waited a long time for my test results and then got a call from them asking me if I wanted to purchase any of the packages they had offered me. I had to tell them I had never gotten anything from them so I wasn't prepared to give them an answer. They apologized profusely, were very polite about and promptly got me my results. I wanted to get another estimate and ended up going with another company but I enjoyed my experience with Hayes. Very good company and very smart people. They just need to tone down the sales pitch a little on the front part of the experience. I would definitely use these guys again if the price was right although I am not in need of any insulation services for the forseeable future.

After purchasing this offer for a home energy offer, I could not get anyone to respond to my phone calls or emails to set up an appointment to fulfill the work I contracted for. Eventually, I requested and received a refund from Angie's List.

It went very well. The crew all arrived on time as promised explained the work to be done and cleaned up well.

My wife was the one present for the actual visit at our home so I can't comment here.

I purchased the energy audit and was very pleased with their work and sharing the results with me. I have a very old house that had several additions. Many energy lose places were evident. I was given 3 options that would improve the efficiency of my home. I chose the mid priced one. The crew that did the work were great and they were able to come on a Saturday so I wouldn't have to take off of work. I'm very pleased with them. They were responsive to my email questions and provided me with what I needed to get the energy credit with MGE.

It went well. They arrived when expected, were very personable and informative. They had cameras and infra-red equipment that illustrated on the computer exactly where I was losing energy. We didn't make it easy for them unfortunately, as my neighbor and I were having a garage sale that same day, and I had my daughter and 3 grandchildren over too, which meant the door got opened a lot more than usual, which made it tougher for them to achieve the vacuum they were trying to. They prepared a detailed, very impressive computer presentation for me to see exactly what they were referring to. I had a bit of trouble getting the salesman to return my calls with further questions. When I complained, he called and apologized. Overall, great bunch of people.

Called over the phone, received an estimate and they came out. Did an excellent job. As a side, I found it hard to find companies that service gas fireplaces. Mine are Lennox and I called several Lennox dealers, but, they do not service; I guess only sell.

Great. Very enlightening process and gave me a list of short, medium, and long-term goals to keep my energy costs down.

Their truck arrived on time and it happened to be a very cool morning. I had to shut down the heating unit because the main hose used to pump in the insulation to the attic had to come through the front door. They were very careful to put down papers where they walked so as not to stain the carpet. They were very professional and treated us with respect. They were not ready to leave until they explained everything that they had done and was assured that it was to my satisfaction. This is the reason that we scraped together the money to have the walls done, too, by the same company.

Overall went pretty well. The report was pretty good, but not as thorough as I expected. I did complete a few of the recommendations.

Took advantage of Angie's list Big Deal to have an energy audit performed. They followed up with a very detailed report and options/levels of work that could improve efficiency. I knew my house needed a lot more insulation than it had, and scheduled the work. Their crew showed up on time every day and were very professional. The team lead explained what they were doing as they worked and they all did their best to clean up every day. Ended up finishing a day early. the insulation they installed made a huge difference - my house was significantly warmer and less drafty last winter and much more comfortable especially upstairs this summer. Both heating and cooling bills are down. Very happy with their service.

OK. They came and set up their equipment. They took me through the attic and showed me all the problems. They gave me their estimate of all the extensive work that needed to be done. They cleaned up and left the house better than they found it. (They were very kind of remove some dead rodents they found while they were in the attic.) And they left.

Workman were timely, professional and cleaned up area during and after job was completed.

They stayed for almost 4 hours, were very thorough, did a good job explaining to me what services they were performing throughout their visit.

The Hayes Company was prompt in scheduling the energy audit. They compiled a list of suggested ways to improve the energy efficiency of my home. While conducting the audit, I talked to them about other improvements (wood rot replacement) that needed to be done on my home. They said they could also handle that task. They were well versed in energy efficiency, and also on how to take care of the wood rot concerns. My house is in a historic neighborhood, so I needed to have work approved before proceeding. The Hayes Company was considerate of the suggestions made by the Kansas Historical Society and was willling to comply. All work was completed in a timely and professional manner.

They were thorough and professional. Their price and quality of work were excellent. They were responsive and punctual.

Our all-electric home was well built and energy efficient to begin with. Since we live in a rural area where electricity costs tend to be high, energy efficiency was something my husband insisted on when we built our house. However, there have always been a few problems--a quite drafty living room (where I spend a lot of time) and a cold downstairs bedroom. Additionally, our daughter wants to buy our home after my husband and I die, so the projected recovery time for our investment was a long span of 20 or 30 more years. Finally, whether our daughter bought our home or not, the projected savings would be welcome to the next buyer. In an uncertain home market, we thought this would be a plus if we had to sell outside the family. We had an excellent experience with this company. From start to finish, they were prompt, very professional, and objective. We had an energy walkthrough done first, to prioritize what might be done. This included blower door testing and an infrared camera to determine where the air leakage was occurring in the home and computer modeling to project energy savings. After the audit, the company provided a 25-page summary of the results of the assessment. Using the results of the audit and a utility bill summary of our energy expenses for the previous year, the assessment provided an objective overview of where energy was being lost, how well our walls and attic were insulated, how efficient our windows were, and where the drafts were occurring. The assessment included charts--these were a good visual device that made the information more simple for us. Then the assessment asked: What improvements will reduce energy loss the most? The company provided a basic, intermediate, and advanced prioritization of the kinds of improvements that would give us the most efficiency. We chose an intermediate level (summarized above), with savings predicted at 5-7% per year. Considering how much energy efficiency was built into our home at the beginning, we thought that this much improvement was satisfactory. During the energy audit, the actual work period, and the post-audit, the company's representatives were courteous, prompt, and efficient. They cleaned up the areas after the work was done. In the post-audit, a representative came out to perform a follow-up blower test to determine to what extent energy was being saved. When a very small part of the work couldn't be completed because of the way the garage door was built, the company sent us a refund of $100 as compensation. We have since paid our first electrical bill after the work was completed, and it was the smallest one we've ever paid in our 22 years of living here. The living room draft is quite gone, thank goodness, and we can really enjoy our television or reading in the evening. The windows in the basement room are sturdy and well built. We're very pleased, and are happy to recommend the Hayes Company.

I purchased an Angies List coupon for an energy audit because my house was drafty. After purchasing the coupon, I received a call from Vanessa would explained the scope of the audit and scheduled the appointment. Vanessa and Zac arrived on time and after completing the audit in about 2 hours, provided me with a detailed report about a week later, listing three different options to stop infiltration of air into the house and increase insulation: a basic option that included the most "bang for your buck" options, an intermediate option and a complete option. I choose the intermediate option and scheduled an appointment and they stated it would probably take 1.5 to 2 days to complete the work. Three Hayes employees showed up on the first day and completed the majority of the work and one employee arrived the next to wrap up the work. I am happy with the quality of the work and would not hesitate to use Hayes company again in the future
