Description of Work: My home is over 100 years old and the floors were carpeted when I bought it 8 years ago. I personally removed to carpet to discover the floors in good shape, but stained and in need of refinishing. Since I'm not handy in things of this nature, I called SVB based on a coupon offered by Angie's List. Normally, I would have gotten 3 estimates but I immediately felt comfortable with the estimate/sales rep. He was knowledgable and seemed honest, a good thing for the representative of the company regarding first impressions. I promptly received my estimate and the workers were on time and professional. When the job was complete, my floors were gorgeous! I had my entire 1st floor done, 3 rooms (living room, dining room and sunroom). These were the only rooms with hard wood on the first floor. I'm saving up for next year, when I will have the second floor done (2 bedrooms, a sitting room, 2nd sun room and the stairs) by SVB. Overall, I was very pleased with the professionalism, punctuality and quality of work that went into completing this project! Also, there was hardly any dust. It was nearly dust free. There was no more dust than what would be present during a routine dusting of the house. I am VERY PLEASED!!!!

Description of Work: We got an estimate from SVB Wood Floor Service for refinishing our kitchen floor and installing and finishing the entryway floor, which is a hardwood floor.

Description of Work: I've had SVB refinish floors in one home (which we quickly sold) and refinish and install new floors in another home. We went with handscraped hickory that the guys spent many, many hours distressing (not factory!) and the results are nothing short of spectacular. We had other rooms in our new home sanded (dustless, ya), stained, and refinished. And finally had new oak installed in the kitchen.

Description of Work: Had a room with carpet and pet stains and odor in a 100 year old home. Pulled up the carpet to find the original wood floors. Floors are a combination of pine and oak. They pulled out the damaged pine areas and matched with replacement that was perfect. Workers were prompt and courteous.

Description of Work: Sanded and refinished hardwood flooring in kitchen, 1/2 bath and hall that had water-damage. Installed and finished new hardwood flooring in dining room, living room and family room.
