Description of Work: ABF has monitored our home alarm for many years. We recently installed a leak detection system into the plumbing and asked ABF to come out and hook the system into the alarm. We made the appointment for 11:00am. I scheduled my day around the appointment. When I arrived home at 10:55am to meet the technician, I found a phone message to call ABF to confirm the appointment. When I called the office I was informed that they would send someone out in 1/2 hour, since they now were sure someone was home. I understand that the technician's time is valuable. My time is also valuable and I expect when I make an appointment the other party intends to show up at that time and not expect me to wait around for 30 minutes when the only reason for the delay is to ensure that I am home. Very poor customer service and communication. Had I known of this policy I would have structured my day differently.
