Not only was it a great deal, but it was a great experience. Much to my surprise, my 2002 Honda was in excellent condition and that's exactly what they told me, rather than trying to sell me services that I didn't need. \Another plus is that the shop is clean! I'm always leery about using the facilities at an auto shop, but this place was immaculate. They had coffee, tea, snacks, and large comfortable chairs. Although I didn't have any major services done there, I will definitely use Honest1 again.

They are very good. They have always taken care of me quite well. I called them up and they got me in right away and checked it all out because I wanted to make sure there was no serious damage to the vehicle. They did check it and fixed what needed to be fixed which was pretty minor which I was happy to find out. They are excellent. They are excellent in terms of quality of work and responsiveness. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

They seem pretty fair. They are nice guys to work with. They let us know what needs to be fixed, they fix it, and we get it back.

Great Experience. I've been looking for a car repair shop and decided to try H-1 when based on a great Angies list speical. The service was great, prompt and professional, they didn't try to oversell me on things I didn't need. I will now try them for bigger maintenance and repairs in the future

Went in they required to replace parts rather then minor repair to the part for the brakes, for an extra $300 a tire. I went to Midas and they agreed that the parts didn't need replacement and the work was done for $450.00. I had them do all 4 tires.

I am starting to do business with them. They are nice to deal with and take the time to list to me. They hear what my concerns are and take extra steps to check things out before they do anything and let me know what the costs would be. They give me the estimates upfront which I really appreciate. They also have some sort of discounts. They don’t try to talk me into things that I don’t need.

The original estimate for new front struts and a muffler was approx $920. After I brought it in initially, Pat called and told me that the coil springs also needed to be replaced and that it would be 4-5 days for those parts to arrive. When they finally did arrive almost 2 weeks later, I picked my car up to find that the rear struts had been done and that the muffler had not been replaced. Jim (one of the owners) went above and beyond however to make things right and I am pleased with how things ended up. While there were some extreme communication problems, the entire staff worked hard to make things right and it was an overall positive experience. The work that they did was exemplary, and I am very pleased with the quality of the work done.

I took our 1990 Honda Civic in to Honest-1 Auto Care in Roseville to have them check a screeching alternator belt. Pat Kelly's mechanics determined that it was only loose and needed to tensioned (the problem could also have been caused by a cracked or worn belt, or a bad pulley bearing). They adjusted the belt tension within about 10 minutes of our arrival, and did not charge us anything for the service. Pat Kelly explained that sometimes belts stretch and just need to be tightened. I should say that we chose Pat Kelly's Honest-1 Auto Care because we have an aging, but reliable car that needs occasional service, and we need an alternative to the Honda dealership's service facilities. Even though the dealership also does quality service work, service charges and authentic Honda replacement parts at the dealership can be ridiculously expensive. I would wholeheartedly recommend Honest-1 to anyone, but especially to someone with an older car that needs service and needs an honest job done and may have limited financial resources. After we left Honest-1, we talked about our positive experience for days and it renewed my faith in auto service mechanics. Thanks, Pat Kelly, and Merry Christmas!

We were pretty satisfied with them. Their service was good. I thought they were honest. In their recommendations, they would say what you don't need done. They keep your money in mind when they give recommendations. We have sent our daughter there, too. We felt that they were honest and reasonable. Its proximity to our home is also good.

Very well. I especially like that they have a public computer available at no charge. If I have to wait for the service to be performed, I can get online and check e-mail and do other errands while I wait. This is a great time saver.

I tried to fix the problem myself, but was unsuccessful. After having the same mechanic for ~15 years, he went out of business. I really wasn't looking forward to finding a new mechanic and I hate going to dealerships. I did my homework on Angie's List and decided to give Pat Kelly (GM) and Honest-1 a try. I was not disappointed. The staff is friendly and unpretentious (Pat's got a great sense of humor). The waiting area is modest, but they do offer wifi and coffee for those that need it. After I dropped off my truck, he made sure that I had a ride home (which I did). He got back to me that afternoon with a diagnosis and an estimate. There was more to be done than I had anticipated, but the cost was very reasonable for all that had to be done. The truck was ready the next day, but I was unable to pick it up as planned. Pat said he would store my truck inside to keep it warm and safe, which I really appreciated. So far, the truck is running like new! The shop area is pretty big for an independent, and very clean. The mechanics look happy and motivated (nobody just hanging around giving you glares). Also, Honest-1 offers a 10% discount for Angie's List members. I'll be going back! This is my first report on Angie's List, hopefully I followed all the rules. ;)

Overall, they did a good job. They were done quickly, they are friendly and had a good price.

Had the car for about two hours. Told us everything looked ok. No charge. Impressive.

They are only a few blocks from our house, so it's easy to get to. They seem to get the job done. The job is done by the time they say it will be done. There are some discounts and savings options.

it took way too long to get the engine replaced.

They were great! The tire was repaired and they switched out the spare the next morning for no charge! They said it was a simple repair and they were not going to charge me, they just asked they I come back for service some other time (which I will) They were super polite on the phone and in person. The waiting room is nice and clean and they have a kid's playroom, internet access and coffee. A great experience overall.

I took my car to Honest-1 Auto Care to get the work done when I got home and also asked them to check the 4-wheel drive engagement mechanism and the steering, since it seemed a little loose and I was anticipating holiday travel and didn't want any trouble on the road. Later in the day I spoke with Pat and he told me he had bad news for him, good news for me. My brakes did not need replacing, the steering was fine and the 4-wheel drive mechanism was engaging as it should. When I asked how much it would cost, he said "Nothing. We didn't do anything." I was delighted! I began that day anticipating that I would spend at least $1000 on car repairs and spent nothing. That's honesty!

Had hole in muffler on 1990 Plymouth Acclaim. Received estimate from big name service center, which exceeded $400 for a complete exhaust system, not including the catalytic converter. Stopped at Honest-1 for an estimate; car was checked out immediately; co-owner Pat Kelly estimated $100 (plus usual shop supplies, Haz Mat charge and state tax) to replace just the muffler and tail pipe unit. Left car and work was done later that day.

After having some work done on Sept. 10 (had power window motor replaced), came back two days later (Sept. 12) to ask about car over heating. Temperature gauge would go from mid range to very high. It would then recede after several minutes, only to rise again. Dropped car off with shop co-owner Pat Kelly, who likes to troubleshoot. He called a few hours later to report that the car was ready and they could find nothing wrong other than a bubble in the cooling system. They added coolant. Picked up car and it's run at normal temperature range for the past month. No charge for the service or the coolant. Pat said he wants to generate customer good will. The following week, I brought in a dozen sweet rolls and donuts to go with their morning coffee.

Received estimates from Honest-1 and another Angie's List service provider. Honest-1's estimate (including a $20 discount coupon) was 18% lower and shop is just two blocks away. Dropped car off the next morning (Sept. 10) and picked it up that afternoon. Although no rush, work was done in less than two hours. This is a relatively new operator at this location. Pat Kelly, one of two partners, is a former Chevrolet dealership service manager; enjoys troubleshooting, intent on building long-term customer relationships, very clean facility, comfortable waiting area, good coffee.
