STORM DOORS ONLY

This contractor was so enthusiastic about storm doors! Our old door had damaged the framing around or entry door. He check it and assured us that it was structurally sound before he proceeded to install the new door. The new door is high quality and long lasting. We are very happy with the new storm door!

He seemed to be pretty effective. When there was something wrong with the door, he fixed it. He was on time. He came when he said he would and did a good job.

It is tough to find somebody to do a small job like that, and the name of the company seemed to say it all. He could come out to do the work for me, so I chose him. The quality of the work was fine, and the price was reasonable.

They did the work well and I like their work. We are happy with their service.

Dave came out the same day I called and looked the situation over. We decided that a new door was the way to go and Dave gave me tips on picking out a high quality door. He recommended Larson brand doors and let me know they were currently on sale at a local store. We went there, picked out a door, and arranged for Dave to pick it up and install it. Dave arrived on time and installed the door quickly and efficiently. Took about 90 minutes including adjusting the second door and clean-up (including disposal of the old door).

Great overall experience. Dale is on time and very personable. Dale quickly figured out the problem and repaired the door. He knew it was repairable so he did not try to sell me a new door. now that it is fixed, there is no reason to replace this door at this time. (Oh, by the way, it is a standard size door.)

Dave Nelson at Storm Doors Only responded promptly to my call and set up a time to come to my house and provide a quote. He came to my house as scheduled and asked questions on the type of storm doors I wanted. He recommeded doors that would meet my needs. Dave needed to check to see if he had the doors I wanted in the size I needed in storck. He called the next day to say that he had the doors in stock and quoted a price. We reached an agreement, and set up a time for the installation on a Saturday. Dave arrived on schedule and installed the doors.

I purchased the new door and then called Dave to install it. He was very responsive and came out the Saturday after I called. The opening was a little smaller than the door I had purchased but Dave was able to get it installed. He finished in the time he had estimated.

was a tricky install but dave made it work when others weren't so sure it could be done due to the shallow frame available.

The service went very well. The business owner came out very quickly after initial contact and gave me an estimate. He advised which door options would suit us. We decided on the highest quality door he installed, as he said that we wouldn't regret it. He checked to see if the door was in stock, called me about that the next day, and made an install appointment for a couple of days later. The install took about 2 hours, and the door looks great!

It was excellent. I called them and they scheduled an appointment for a few days later. I was surprised because they arrived a few minutes early. They installed the door perfectly. The only concern was that they left a small piece of debris behind, but I think that they just missed it. Otherwise they cleaned up. I have no problems with the door at all and it's better than our other storm doors.

It had to be a custom cut door and it fits great. The door looks very good they did an incredible job. Their prices were fair and they were personable people to deal with. I would recommend them.

I called them on a Thursday afternoon after the latch on my back storm door broke off.(I had been intending to replace the doors for some time before this happened). The owner answered from his cell phone while on the road and said he could stop by my home in half an hour. He arrived on time, measured the doors, one door was standard, but the other wasn't. He showed me a pamphlet of Larson Storm Doors and made suggestions as to which would work best for me. I agreed with his assessment and he and his employee came on Saturday to install them. They took away the old doors as well. Please note, the back door was originally not going to be same as the front due to the fitting problem and would not have a key locking mechanism. However, his distributor offered him a matching door to the front for the same price so I now have two doors, both with key locks for the original price he quoted me.

We had an old storm door removed and a new one installed. Unfortunately, we (my husband and I) ordered the wrong size door because we don't know how to measure. Dave and Arlo who I like to call "my heroes" managed to reframe the old door frame so the new storm door would fit properly. Both guys are very friendly and professional and I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Dave truly is committed to providing quality work at the lowest price possible. He strongly recommends Larson doors, but allows you to pick them out at the home improvement store, then picks them up for you. In my case, they didn't have all the doors at one location, so he went to two of them to pick them up. He helped recommend which doors from Larson were the best. I had requested that in addition to replacing storm doors he also replace two side-entry doors. He provided a very competitive bid on those and had a sub perform the work. Although they encountered some snags along the way in installing the interior doors and they took a day longer to install than he originally estimated, Dave made sure the job got done with high-quality and his install price per door did not change. He even stopped over after the install to check on a storm door that was not latching. Turned out to be user error. One thing that really stuck in my mind, when Dave was out for the bid, I told him I'd gotten his name from Angie's List. He mentioned that it's his goal to achieve the highest rating of any provider on Angie's List. That's a pretty lofty goal, but I knew then that he was committed to good work and good value. I highly recommend Storm Doors Only.

He was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional, and he gave a very comforting feeling that he would follow through with the job from start to finish.

I called Dave and he was here in 15 minutes; 45 minutes later he had repaired three problems w/my storm door and lock and all is working just fine!

Dave and his assistant did a terrific job installing a new storm door. They were courteous, professional, and I plan on hiring him again.

The work was done quickly and professionally. If I ever have storm door work again I certainly would use Storm Doors Only.

Storm Doors Only did a very nice job. We obtained three bids and they were the lowest one (bids all included install and the cost of the doors). They were creative in finding solutions for us. For instance, they did some carpentry work in the front to change the size of the opening so we could use a standard door and keep the cost down. They were prompt, cleaned up after themselves, and friendly. They came both times on a Saturday, which was very convenient for us, and worked under rather extreme conditions the second time - it was during a major snowstorm. Each install took 2-3 hours. The doors are very substantial, with weather-stripping on three sides, and create a much better seal than the old doors. They also look nice. The only remaining work for us is to paint the wood due to the carpentry work around the front door.

No show for appointment and no explanation as to why. He needs to remember that people take off work to be punctual to meet with him. At the very least, I expect the same.

It went well, two men working on the door went very quick. They had no problems with installing it. The only thing that I didn't appreciate was that one of the men had a cigarette and it blew in my house. I am asthmatic, so I did say something and they immediately took care of it. They were respectful and kind and efficient. I would highly recommend them to my friends.

I highly recommend David Nelson and his company Storm Doors only. I called several companies to evaluate replacing my mud room door. There we a number of problems in that the door was not a standard size and the installation was going to be very labor intensive. Mr. Nelson and his carpenter went above and beyond the call of duty trying to come up with the best cost effective solution. My husband and I are very pleased with the result of their work. In the future we would not consider anyone else for our door replacement needs. In fact, next summer we hope to have them replace our front door. So, indeed they will do more than "Storm Doors Only".

Dave was very responsive and was able to provide an evening quotation. He suggested a number of door options for me to consider and helped me understand the pros and cons of each (aluminum vs. wood core). Because this was a custom sized door, the best and most cost effective option for me was a Larson Magna Core door from Menards. He could have purchased a door from the manufacturer, but Menard s custom order prices couldn t be beat. It took approximately 3 weeks to receive the door (typical lead time). On a Saturday morning, Dave s crew was able to pick up my door at Menards and install my new door within two hours. They even bagged up the cardboard for recycling and hauled my old door away. I wish all of my home improvement projects could run so smoothly!
