Paul seemed real thorough in reviewing what we needed to have done. He asked if he could text me the quote. I was fine with that to get a ballpark of what we were looking at. No text came. I texted him to check in, no response.

It couldn't have gone more smoothly. Paul knew exactly what needed to be done to remedy the problem and took care of it. He was honest, professional and trustworthy and did a great job from putting drop cloths down to clean up. I will be reccomending him to all my family & friends.

I was led to Paul and Benchmark Plumbing becaue of his stellar reviews on AngiesList. We were embarking on a large remodeling project and had him come over to take a look. He was very upfront and plain-spoken in his walk-thru with us. He responded quickly with his propsal for the work and we made the decision to hire him soon after. Our project ended up taking a total of 3+ months and Paul was patient and professional through the whole process. Additionally, he was willing to providde suggestions on different ways that we could improve the plumbing in our home. We replaced at least 70% of the plumbing lines in our home, 2 new water heaters and moved our showers, tubs and sinks to different locations. Paul handled with ease and a great sense of humor as well. My children were dissapointed when I told them that Paul wasn't coming over anymore, that's how good of a person he is and always took the time to say hi, etc... Very grateful that we found him to do our work and welcome anyone to see the work or give me a call to discuss further. Don't look any further, if he is available use him.

It went very well overall. I discovered Benchmark Plumbing from Angie's list when I was looking for a plumber to fix the leak in the kitchen drain pipe. Both times, Paul was knowledgable, competent, efficient, neat and enjoyable to work with. He is now on my list of "go-to" people for plumbing.

Called on Saturday expecting to leave a message because they do not work on the weekend, but the called was answered by Paul. Paul said he was in the middle of taking his son some where, but he thought he was pretty busy in the coming week. He said he would check and call us back. We never received a return call, so we called another provider. Paul was professional on the phone, we were just disappointed that he didn't call us back.

Benchmark was on time, careful work, and did the job in a professional manner. Paul was easy to work with, and explained what he was doing, and explained the cause of the clogged floor drain. Clean up was good and was done in an hour, right on time. I have an estimate for more work and I will call in the future for some additional work. My house is older, and in good condition, but maintenance has to be kept up. Also, I chose Benchmark on the previous excellent reviews. I scrolled down to find Benchmark. There were other contractors I could have chosen that had many more reviews, but I chose Benchmark because it was close to my house. If I can chose a contractor in my neighborhood or reasonably close, I will go with a local business.

Paul determined that old the washers from the faucet shut-off valves had broken up and lodged in the main faucet line. Using a great deal of ingenuity, he was able to blow out the brittle washer material in the faucet line and fix the problem, without a more expensive solution.

Very well - Paul got to work immediately, put down a dropcloth to protect the flooring and was efficient. He installed the best quality, easiest to use shut-off valves and tweaked the faucet lines to get them working as perfectly as possible in a less-than-ideal location.

Paul was super to work with. I made initial contact with him by phone, but did a follow-up email to provide a photo of the leak allowing him to provide an estimate. I was out of town when the work was done, but my wife was home and she said he was a complete gentleman. He removed his shoes when he entered our home - not that he was asked, just that he was considerate. Paul did the work, quickly, but thoroughly, and as I looked over the replacement he installed, it looked "solid." I realize "firewalling" his ratings as straight A's may not appear to be terribly descriminating, but I believe he earned the grades. He followed up later that evening with an email to ensure we were happy with his work and expressing his appreciation for our trusting him to do the work. First class all the way! I will use him for any future plumbing projects and highly recommend him for any of your plumbing needs - a real pleasure to work with.

The fill valve in the toilet tank needed replacing. I found the problem Saturday evening. I wanted to hire Benchmark because they had installed my water heater and did a great job. I left a voice mail about my problem Saturday evening. Monday morning I called again at 7:50 a.m. Paul answered and said he would call me "right back." He called at 9:30 a.m., telling me he would come over in an hour or two and would call when he was on his way. At 11:40 a.m., I had not heard from him and hired someone else since I did not want to miss another day of work for this problem. I called and left a voice mail for him telling him I was canceling. He called at 12:30 to say he was on his way. I told him I already had someone else on the way. He apologized for "the confusion." I was disappointed because I was happy with his work when he installed the water heater and felt confident he would do a good job, but it was frustrating to be waiting to hear from him and worrying that I would not have the repairs done when I had missed work. A simple one-minute phone call to let me know what was going on would have helped.

Paul arrived earlier than scheduled (after calling to see if it would be okay). He quickly assessed the existing water heater and placed tarps down on the the carpet. While draining the water from the existing heater, he called for the Rheem replacement heater. He and his associate got the replacement downstairs without a problem despite some tight turns in the stairwell. Getting the existing (25 yr old) heater full of minerals was a bit harder!!! The installation went smoothly and he replaced two valves (shutoff and line to whole house humiidifier) without any added cost.

On our initial call, Paul was able to determine that we needed to replace the water heater (it couldn't be repaired). He came out on a day that was convenient for us. He was very respectful of our home, keeping the carpets protected while hauling the old water heater outside. He was fast and efficient and we'll probably call him again if we have any plumbing issues.

Paul arrived on time or called ahead when he was running late. The work was done cleanly and efficiently, everything was well secured and tidy when he was done, and he showed plenty of care both in and around the job site and the rest of the house as well. He dealt with the usual "unexpected surprises" very well and when situations kept him from completing the job on one visit, came back promptly to finish up. He was very easy to talk to and understand and he did a top notch job. We'll definitely have Paul back for future projects.

I called Paul to come and replace our garbage disposal. After talking about what was wrong with it over the phone, he suggested that he may be able to repair it rather than having to replace the whole unit. He was prompt in scheduling a time and prompt in showing up. He was very friendly, very professional, and was able to repair the disposal rather than replace it. He even gave us maintenance tips to extend the life of the unit! I would definitely recommend Benchmark Plumbing for any plumbing service!! Excellent experience!!

We called him and received a prompt response. We set up an appointment and he was punctual. He accessed the situations and made appropriate repairs. Excellent! I contacted Benchmark plumbing to compare water heater prices and installation with Home Depot and Sears. Benchmark was right in line by only a few $$. I am always more interested in hiring the "little guy" instead of some superstore with contract help from who knows where. Paul was on time to replace my water heater and the job took 3 hours. I would highly recommend Benchmark for professional, prompt, clean service at a reasonable price.

Overall, the work was excellent. He was really good and took care of the issues. He did an outstanding job. He was on time and prepared to come at any time that I needed him. He provided excellent service. He went above and beyond what he was called to do. I would rate him highly and would use him again in the future if necessary.
