Peterson Salt & Water Treatment

They do a great job. They've always been on time for delivery. They're usually in the area on Thursdays. We order in advance and they will deliver on Thursday. We have never had any problems or complaints.

They are fine. The salt is quite inexpensive. They will schedule regular deliveries, but since it's just the two of us, we call them as needed. They're very responsive.

The tech was very personable and explained what he was doing. It's working fine now, and he answered a lot of questions that I had about the future of my water softner. Scheduling wasn't a problem either - it was very easy.

We are very happy with the water softener and service provided by Peterson Salt and Water Treatment!! The office staff was very helpful, friendly and professional and AJ, the installer, was extremely nice, professional, and competent! They also carry a very reliable, highly ranked softener system. Their price was also reasonable!

Fantastic service, consistently. I have used Peterson Salt previously for salt delivery, water testing, and general questions. They are professional, on time, highly knowledgable. They are willing to take the time to answer questions/share their expertise - not just perform the service and go. Before hiring Peterson Salt, I had issues with appliances, furnace, water heater due to the hard water in my area. Peterson Salt discovered the builders had set the cycle too low (the softener didn't cycle often enough for the almost 30 grains hard water) - they reset that to the appropriate cycling. I had my dishwasher cleaned the same day by another company, and I now have no more etching with my dishwasher. We use a lot less soap in the laundry, shower, etc. as well! Excellent service and guidance, would definitely recommend to others.

Wonderful! They gave me a window of time and the salt was deivered on time. They delivered to the house and brought the bags to where I wanted them stacked in the lower level. He even topped off the tank with two of the bags and took the empty bags with him. Very good service for the money. This was the 2nd time we've used Peterson Salt and will continue to use them. Excellent company. Also local and we like using small, local companies.

I just bought an older home in St. Louis Park on May 1st. I had an old water softner in the basement that was on bypass and was unplugged. I called PETERSON SALT & WATER and spoke to a young lady on the phone leaving her my contact information. A couple hours later I received a call from TIM PETERSON who reviewed my options. In researching this issue online beforehand, I was concerned because several larger companies in the area are known to use aggresive sales tactics and try to upsell prosepective clients with equipment that is more than they need and with expensive maintenance plans. It was clear TIM just was interested in getting me the best solution for my situation at the lowest cost possible. He suggested he have his tech come out and take a look at my old system to see if it was servicable and even threw a new unit on the truck just in case the old one was shot. His tech "JJ" arrived early for the appointment. He thoroughly went over the old unit and then explained to me what the pros and cons were of repairing or replacing without any pressure one way or the other. I decided to go with the new unit. The job was completed very quickly. "JJ" went over the new system with me in detail, hauled away the old unit and left my house in better condition then he found it. This is a great company to work with. Highly recommended.

Very professional! Both Michelle and the installer where very knowledgeable and explained things clearly. The install was quick and clean. I'm very happy with Peterson and I think they are a great value for the money.

They delivery on no charge you could do it on Saturday if you are within the area, which is nice. They deliver it, they bring it in, they put it where you wanted to put it.

I recently moved into a house that has an older water softener. It was in bypass mode and I was thinking it was non-functional. I called Peterson Salt & Water, and after explaining the processes the water softener goes through, they walked me through taking it out of bypass mode over the phone. We got it started and had it up and running for a couple days. Then they came to my house to inspect the unit and test the water. The good news was the old unit is still working so we didn't have to buy a whole new one yet. But the technician and the folks I spoke with in the office were so nice and helpful - when I do need a new unit I will definately call Peterson!

The technician, AJ, took the initiative to find out if the leaky tank was under warranty. To my surprise it was and the tank was replaced with only service and re-installation charges. Very professional, friendly, helpful. I was VERY impressed.

I found that the woman taking my initial inquiry was friendly and professional. She was reasonably flexible with my schedule and was able to get the work scheduled for that same week. The fellow who can to install arrived promptly and was very professional and knowledgeable. After showing the installer where the softener would be installed, he worked rapidly and independently. The work was completed within less than two hours. I also got ten bags of salt at no charge for being a member of Angie's list. The price of about $895 was less than I had expected and was certainly one of the better prices that I found for the Fleck model. In short, I got very professional, friendly, knowledgeable service at a very reasonable price. Oh, and the installer removed his shoes and was very tidy. All positive, no negative feedback from me to Peterson Salt.

The installer arrived a few minutes early. He removed the old softener, installed a new system, and left the work area clearner than when he arrived. When the installation was complete , he walked me through the operations of the new softener. I have been very satisfied with the results.

Technician AJ was on time, personable, and carefully explained the problem to me. On our own, using the manual, we had already attempted some fixes, which had not worked. AJ worked quickly and solved our problem. I would definitely hire this company again.

My water softener stopped regenerating, and seemed to be stuck in one spot on dial. Service tech, A J, came out to repair my old water softener, but upon inspection determined that it was too old to put in any new parts, (which I had expected). However, he was able to readjust the settings, and said that this old softener was still in operating condition, and probably could last up to another couple of years. He also showed me which settings I should be at and how to readjust settings myself. He was very professional and polite, and I greatly appreciate his honesty about my old softener, not trying to push me into buying a new softener that very day. I will definitely call Peterson Co when the time come to purchase & install a new softener.

The serviceman arrived within the two hour timeframe and I found him both competent and courteous. He answered all my questions and explained how to use the controls on the water softener. I cannot speak to the quality of the softener because it has only been operational for a month, but I was happy with the quality of the work.

AJ was very efficient. He worked quickly and very knowledgeable about H2o softeners. He did a great job.

Great! They diagnosed the problem by phone. They had replaced resin 4 years ago, and told me this must have been a bad batch. They just charged for the service call, and not for the resin.

Ordered salt deliver from their internet site. The site did not show the price per bag, which was dissappointing. I ordered the salt on November 18th and chose a delivery date of Monday, November 26th. On November 19th I received a call from Peterson Salt confirming the order and telling me the price per bag. I was also given the option of two different two-hour delivery windows. I returned their call and chose the delivery window of 8 am to 10am. On November 26th, the Peterson Salt truck showed up at my house at 9:55 am. Two gentlemen quickly unloaded the 10 bags of salt, brought them into the house, down the stairs to the basement and stacked them nicely next to the softeners. They even filled the salt container so that it was full as well. Finally, when they came upstairs, they turned the lights in the basement off, even though I turned them on for them. All in all, a great experience - just as past experiences have been.

Everything went well, and they had good customer service.
