I found Peterson on Angie’s List 5 years ago and had them install a water softener for my daughter. I was so impressed with their professionalism, quality of water softener, outstanding customer service and price that I called them when I needed one. The service is still outstanding! I would recommend them without hesitation! AJ was our installer and is so pleasant, professional and very competent!

We went back to them because we had used them before and their pricing is competitive. We will continue to use them and recommend them.

My experience with Peterson was great. I did some research on water softeners and installers, and decided to go with Peterson. From the initial call to the installation, it was a pleasant experience. John took the initial call and provided me with all the information I would need to make a decision. He was knowledgeable, friendly, but not pushy on sales. I called back to schedule, and John accommodated my needs. Installer A.J. arrived on time, with a smile and expertise. I asked A.J. if he could let me know when he got the old unit out, so I could clean up the corner before installing the new system. He did so cheerfully, and installed the new one. He walked me through how it operates, answered all my questions and left my utility room cleaner than he found it. I definitely recommend their sales and installation staff.

I had been told that by a plumber servicing my water heater that the water softener needed replacing and their prices ranged from $1600 to $4400. I contacted Petersons for pricing on a softener, and they recommended a service visit to see if it could be repaired. Rather than push me to buy a new unit they serviced the existing softener and confirmed that it was working. They came out right away, were very pleasant, and honest.

Let me first say, my experience was good, I would definitely use them again. I called on Tuesday and talked to John- he was informative and patient with my questions. He quoted me a rate that he said was inclusive of the equipment, the installation, and taxes. I scheduled an appt for 8am Thursday morning, and stated clearly that I had a hard stop at 11am when I had to leave the house for an appointment. On Thursday, I finally called at 8:45 and was told someone would be here shortly. Since I am only about six blocks away, the installer showed up within 10 minutes. AJ was professional, courteous, neat, and seemed to know his stuff. The install took about 2 1/2 hours. Like I said, I would use them again. But a few comments- I was told when I called that you could adjust the softness setting (not true according to the installer), I was told someone would be here at 8am (someone arrived minutes before 9am), and the price I was given at time of payment was higher than what was quoted (they did honor the quoted price). I'm chalking it up to a miss in communication, and will let Peterson figure out where the issue arose. I was late to my appointment which was a bit of a problem as I was leading a work session with 80 attendees. The softener is working fine, though, and overall, I would recommend them.

They are a great company, and if I needed a new water softener I would use them. I believe they will sell and deliver salt even if you did not buy your softener through them. All of their delivery guys are super nice, and I feel totally safe having them in my house. Everyone in the company is efficient, nice, and a pleasure to deal with.

I called for information and got a quote on the phone. There was no sales pressure. They gave me plenty of information about the brand of softeners they provide and the benefits of a good softener vs. one from a big box store. The installation went smoothly. They removed an old, broken softener, fixed up the plumbing and installed the new one. They also brought in the salt and filled it for me which was nice. I am writing this several months later and enjoying the soft water. Much better than we had in the past with either of our two previous softeners. Overall a very good experience.

Peterson Salt had been delivering our salt, and I really appreciated their service, and friendliness. Also, it is a smaller company, and I appreciated that too. Then we had to replace our water softener, and we decided to go with Kinetico, and that's when life got emotionally complicated for me. Kinetico delivers salt too, but my heart was with Peterson Salt because we had been using them to deliver salt, and they were always wonderful. Very reluctantly, I changed to ordering salt from Kinetico?mostly because we now had a Kinetico water softener. Well, after placing one order for Kinetico salt, I then ordered salt from Peterson Salt?forgetting we had changed to Kinetico salt. The Peterson Salt delivery man was standing in our laundry room, after bringing in two bags of salt, when I realized my mistake. I felt horrible! He had to leave our home with those two bags of salt plus the 18 other bags he had on his truck. Well, I emailed Peterson Salt about my mistake, and said I wish I could make it up in some way?something like that?and Michelle said why not order salt from them, and they?ll call it even. And, I thought, why not.! I was happy with Peterson Salt. and I now realize that there was no logical reason to change. I very much appreciated how Michelle handled my snafu. I do believe unavoidable mistakes like my ordering salt from Peterson Salt when we had changed to Kinetico--happens for a reason. I am absolutely delighted I can continue to order salt from Peterson Salt even if we have a Kinetico water softener.

They came right on time and delivered the 8 bags of salt that I ordered.

It went very well. Great people to work with! The installer went above and beyond with a nice and neat installation along with rerouting some other lines I had around. It was very cleanly done and helped me gain more space in my utility room as well. I've called recently for an issue and they were fantastic and very quick with their response. Highly recommend!

I had a plumber at my home doing some work. At that time they tested my water and indicated that my softner was not working. I found Peterson on Angies list and called them to get pricing on a new softner. They suggested that before I purchase a new softner I should let them see if I could fix it and offered to bring a softner with so they would not have to make an extra trip if it wasnt working. The technician arrived and had the original unit fixed with 1/2 hour or so. I was thrilled when they were able to fix the existing softner instead of having to purchase a new one. When it does come time for a new unit Peterson will be the first company I contact.

An employee named A.J. came out to assess my water softener situation. Without any sales pressure I decided to replace my old softener with one he recommended. A few days later he came back, installed the new unit and hauled the old one away. The whole process was hassle-free. A.J. was a pleasure to deal with. He was personable, polite and had solid answers to all my questions.

I recently bought a townhouse. Among all the things I need to do with this place, Peterson is the easiest to schedule and fastest to come. I called them on Monday and they came on Thursday. The scheduled time window is 11am - 1pm. The installer came 5 minutes earlier than 11, which is super nice. I really appreciate them coming on time, saved me a lot of time waiting. The installer did a good job explaining what he need to do and one hour later, I had soft water in my townhouse! In addition, there is no trash left. The installer made sure the space is clean. They were recommended to me by my friend, who used their service 1.5 years a go and liked it. After this good experience, I recommended them to my colleague who needs a new water softener right away.
