Peterson Salt & Water Treatment

Petersen's were extremely informative and helpful on the phone, and their website was also useful. I selected the unit to be purchased after a few minutes of conversation and study. Their installer was available later the same day, and the new softener was installed in less than 4 hours after my inquiry! The price seemed very good, much better than what I was quoted by Culligan, even for one of their 'reconditioned' units.

The company came exactly when they said they would and the installation took the amount of time they had indicated. They removed the old softener, recycled the salt, installed the new softener and left the area very clean. They also routed the discharge water tube to the drain in a better way than prior to this.

The water softener was working fine until a month ago (Feb 2009) when it started to make a whistling noise. I called Tom and told him about the problem. Tom sent his plumber over today (3/18/09) and even though the softener did not make the same noise the whole valve was replaced at no charge. Tom's company had been recommended by a friend who found him on Angie's List. The service and the product offered by this company is unbelievable. I will recommend this company to all my friends and family.

Called to get an idea of options for our house. Tom took quite a bit of time explaining three price point options & the info related to each. We decided on a unit and called back to schedule in 2 days (Friday). They gave us a range of 1-2 pm. However, at noon the installer called to say he would come at 2:30 pm. That time came & went. I finally called at 5:00 pm & said it was now too late to come. Tom said they had a commercial installation that went long. He said they could come on Saturday at 10:00 am. They did & it went well.

Very well. I'm glad we didn't have to replace the whole thing!

They helped me understand how my softener was working. Had problems with it cycling to fast, they walked me through how to read and adjust the settings in the future. Was very satisfied and I appreciated the help understanding how my softener works.

It went excellent. They showed up when they said they would. They gave us a really good price. They came over the weekend. The installation went great. I would not hesitate to call them for service needs.

Mark, the installer, arrived on-time, put in the softener, showed me how to use it (easy) and cleaned up when he was done.

Great experience! I had 2 companies come out to look at a leaking water softener. The first spent 5 minutes looking at it and said I needed a new one and charged me $94. Tom, the owner from Peterson Salt and Water came out and took a half hour exploring all the possibilities of repair. He concluded that he would attempt to replace a part and see if that resolved the issue. I was not yet charged for this visit. He returned the next day with the part, replaced it, and it did not resolve the problem. I did end up needing a new water softener, but really appreciated the time Tom took to explore cheaper alternatives than replacing it. He also took the time to explain everything he was doing and the options available. He also quoted me a much more competitive price to replace the water softener than 3 others! Marc, one of Tom's employees, came a day earlier than promised to remove the old unit and install the new unit. He was great in every way. This was one of the best, if not the best service experience I've had!

I found them on Angie's List, contacted them via email, and 4 days later had a new water softener. Excellent!

I learned a lot from the owner. Through my discussions with him I was prepared to buy something. They were very nice to work with, and the owner was very knowledgeable. The pricing was very competitive. They also offer salt delivery.

Peterson determined that the water softener was in good working order and he made a small adjustment. I was pleased with his honesty, especially considering I had no clue whether I needed service or not. He spent close to an hour at my home and charged me only a small fee.

Overall this company was so generous. They came out and spent a couple hours trying to fix my water softener. Come to find out I needed a new water softener, and this company didn t even charge me for trying to fix it. So I ended up buying the water softener from him because I was just so thankful and appreciative.

It went very well. It was a little embarrassing since we had probably caused the meter to come unplugged but they were kind and professional nonetheless.

Tom was on time and very friendly. He worked fairly quickly and efficiently and was able to diagnose the problem right away. He answered all of the questions we had and didn't send us a bill until we confirmed that the unit was working properly for about a week.

We were able to get the repairman to our home within a few days. After the initial repair, we had to have him come again as things still weren't working properly, but that was no hassle and we weren't charged anymore than for the first trip. Mr. Peterson was very professional and the whole process went very well.

Tom did an excellent job. Not only did he fix the problem I was having, but he discovered another one that was from the installation. He was able to find a second hand part to solve that problem as well. I also think their prices were very reasonable.

I called on a Wednesday for service and got a quick appointment for Friday. Tom answered all my questions and explained the workings of the water softener. He said he would hold the invoice for about a week to make sure that the water level had lowered back down, and then he called me within that time period to check. The level had gone back to normal, and he sent the invoice for payment. Very reasonable price for the services performed. I would definitely use this company again, and have already recommended the company to one of my friends.

They always fill the bin and take away the empty bags. They stack it up neatly. Very happy with them, very responsive, and nice on the phone. Reasonably priced.

Tom Peterson answered all our questions and did not pressure us into buying or upgrading at all. We chose to go with a little larger model on our own, just to have it cycle less often. Overall, we were very happy with the installation and glad to have soft water again.

The installation went great and we were very pleased with the work and final product. They had to work on plumbing lines in very tight places, but did a great job.

It went great. He fixed the existing softener instead of replacing it as he told us we could expect to get our money's worth out of the repair.
