Called for service, a real person answered on the 2nd ring. After checking the schedules of the repair techs he scheduled a time range for the next day. The repair tech arrive on time and fixed the leak within 15 minutes so just paid for a visit, no additional time. This is the second time Peterson Salt and Water Conditioning has worked on my system and I would have them back again. They are very prompt, knowledgeable and professional.

have a water softener in my rental home due for maintenance for a long time. Never did have things with it even since purchased the house. I have Tom to come in to do a maintanence service. He is very polite. He not only did the maintenance and but also explain to me what he is doing. He answered a few questions. I even asked him some question about an issue in my primary home. He offered me some suggestion and asked me to send him the pictures about the settings in the water softener. He called me back later when I sent him the pictures and offered some suggestion again. I tried it and it resolved my issue. This man is really a kind person with a warm heart!! He is there not just for the money. He really wants to help you. I will definitely recommend him to anybody. Fairly price and expert knowledges!!

Sold my home and 3 weeks before closing the old culligan water softener died. I just wanted to replace with a lowest cost option that would do the job. Called several places for estimates and Peterson was the lowest (another well known company quoted more than double that). That combined with the great rankings on Angie's List made this a no-brainer. Customer service was excellent from start to finish. Mark the install guy was spectacular. Really a great experience overall. Highly recommended.

I was quoted a price for a new water softener, removal of the old softener, and water treatment system over the phone. All these items were $500 less then the last softener I bought from Culligan. Mark arrived early and was very professional. Overall it was an excellent experience.

Called the company on a Monday morning requesting information on the water softener systems available. The sales personnel were very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The decision was made to purchase a replacement water softener and I was told the installer (Mark) would call later that day to schedule an installation appointment, he called as promised and an appointment was made for the following day. Mark showed up on time and began installation. During the course of installation a problem was discovered with the unit being installed and it was determined that a replacement would be necessary. A replacement was successfully installed the following day. Our dealings with the sales people, Mark and Tom (owner of company) were very pleasant and they insured the water softener was installed correctly and operating as it should.

In short, Peterson can install a "best in class" water heater at a nice discount to the major branded players (e.g. Culligan, etc.). I've used these guys 2x now and they install what is considered to be a water heater with the best mechanical guts/valves on the market.

We ordered, they installed on time and as promised, and it was the best experience, the best price and a reminder of why more often then not, going with a family owned business is the best option. They even deliver salt to your door!! If you need a water softener, this would be the best and the only place you would have to call. Highly recommended.

I contacted the company on Tuesday, 8/10/10 to see if I could get a new water softener installed on Thursday, 8/12/10. Spoke with a very helpful person who reviewed our water usage and recommended a 32,000 grain model, which would cost $875 (installed) and have a lifetime warranty on the tanks. Mark, the installer, contacted me shortly afterwards to schedule the installation appointment. We couldn't arrange a time on Thursday that worked for both of us, so he came Wednesday, 8/11/2010, in the evening instead! It took just over an hour to remove the old softener and install the new one, and it cost exactly what was quoted. Mark was very professional and set-up the new softener for us after installing it.

The price was reasonable and they did a great job.

Water softener wasn't functioning properly ( it doesn't regenerate automatically). We called them up and they came out the next day (nice 1 hour arrival timeframe). Technician arrived on time to evaluate the problem. I didn't have them repair since the unit was quite old and it may make more sense to replace. I will definitely consider them if/when I replace. Manual regeneration still works.

Our 20+ year old water softener developed a leak in the valve unit and I called for someone to come out to see if it could be repaired. Tom came out that same day and spent about 20 minutes trying to determine the extent of repairs that would be needed. At a certain point it became apparent that the likely cost to repair the unit would be more than would be warranted on such an old unit so we started talking about replacing it rather than repairing it. Tom laid out the options for me without pressuring me one way or another. I selected a new softener and arranged for installation 3 days later which was no problem because the leak was minor and very near the floor drain. Mark the installer came on time and finished within about 90 minutes. He did a very neat professional job and cleaned up very nicely when he was done. Both Tom and Mark were pleasant to deal with and were patient in answering my questions.

When I called, the woman who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful., Since I didn't know much about my softerner because it was in the house when I moved in last year, she checked the records for my address to see if she had any info on my unit. She described how I would be credited the cost of the service call toward the purchase of a new softener if the old one couldn't be repaired. She talked to me about different water softerners that might work if I did have to purchase a new one. I was able to make an appt for the next day. On the day of the appt, Tom, the owner, called to say he was available early. He was very friendly, worked quickly, found the problem and fixed it. He said he wouldn't bill me right away just in case the problem he found didn't fix the softener. He told me to call if there were any issues. Fortunately, I didn't have any more issues and now have soft water again.

They were very thorough and clean. The company makes their own water softeners and my husband thinks we were sold more than we were needed, but we are still learning how to operate it. I think they were very responsive and came out quickly. I don't think they tried to over sale and they were priced better than some competitor's.

Excellent service. Price quoted was equal to actual invoice. Installer was timely, professional and cleaned up after himself. Everyone in the company was very good at communicating.

The repairman didn't show up. When I called to ask why they said he did not look at his "board". I sat here for two hours after having scheduled the week before - they wasted my time. I will not use companies that abuse me.

I call for an appointment. The telephone was answered immediately by a knowledgeable person who took some info about the problem and the product and set up an appointment for later that week. Tom Peterson (Owner) called on the work date to OK an early arrival. Then arrived promptly. Quickly diagnosed the problem. Showed me the broken part. Had the proper replacement parts on his truck replaced the control head and started a manual regeneration cycle.

Excellent! The company was great from beginning to end. The representative on the phone was very helpful and detailed. The installer put in the softner and did all the plumbing needed with great care. He even put a couple of bags of salt in it for our first use. Dishes, showering, and water quality have all really improved.

I called them for an estimate and they gave me the estimate over the phone. They came out and did the installation. It turned out very nicely. They told me about a special that they have on Saturdays which reduces the price of salt. I get my salt from them as well. I have been pleased with them.

I called and set up the appt. right away. The appt. was set between 8 and 9:30 am. Tom showed up promptly at 8 am. He looked over the broken piece and we talked about how old our current softener was (about 25 years old). He told me the approximate price of a new one and we decided that this one was doing ok for now but that I would have to increase the frequency of cycles because of it's age. He didn't have the replacement part he needed so we set up a new appt. when he would be able to replace the part. On the second appt., again, he showed up right on time at 8 am. Installed the part and tested our water hardness. Everything seemed to be working ok. No need for a new softener. I don't have a price included because he was going to bill me (although not for the second trip).

They were very responsive and professional. The price they quoted was excellent- I checked with three or four other companies and they all wanted at least $100 more.
