I can't be happier. My radon levels where 9.72 pCI/L in my basement and 5.23 PCI/L on my main floor, now it's down to .87pCI/L in my basement and 0 pCI/L on my main floor. It has only been two days since it was installed. I finally feel safe in my house!

Excellent service from Andrew Costigan, A1 Radon Services. He provided a detailed estimate, slightly higher than another bid, but I decided on his service based on other recommendations, his professionalism, and a 5% Angie's List discount. Thoroughly satisfied with his work. He and his partner were on time and courteous. I had been concerned that location of pipe would be disruptive and that I would lose main floor closet space. However, they routed it from a basement closet directly to the garage. An existing outlet was used to power the fan so did not need an electrician. (That would have been $250-consistent with other bid.) They finished the work in less than two hours, cleaned the areas completely, explained the system and answered all my questions. Left a test kit to be used a week later. Average radon level from two earlier short term tests was 5.6. Post mitigation level is 0.3 which is less than ambient air. I highly recommend Andrew and A1 Radon Services.

Andrew returned my call promptly and scheduled the system installation within one week. He was the only company who returned my call. He came in and did the work in less time than what was on his quote. He also showed up early and did an excellent job on the install. He also cleaned up the work area so there was nothing for me to do afterwards. After one week my radon level went from 4.4 down to .8. Overall an excellent experience.

The installation was excellent. The design minimized the sight of the pcv pipes that are needed. The fan system is extremely quiet. Near us is a home with a radon system and you can hear the fan system just standing near the home. Ours is so quiet. We're glad we chose this company.

A shout out to A1 Radon Services. They did an excellent job installing a radon abatement fan, but the real test of a good company was their follow through and standing behind their work. they have returned to check on the fan without any service charge. And recently contacted me to return to make an improvement to mitigate some of the noise from the fan. It is now super quiet. This visit was initiated by them to improve my system at no charge!! This is a great company that stands by their work and follows through. I can't say enough great things about Andrew and his company!

Very professional service and work from Andrew at A1. he provided a very clear plan for mitigation and gave us an estimate with a very reasonable price. Work was done on schedule and Andrew was courteous in our home and cleaned everything when he was done. He also walked us through what he did, and gave us detailed instructions on doing a follow up test. Radon is now very low (1 pci/L) and we couldn't be happier with these results. Would definitely recommend A1!

The service performed by A1 Radon was done very well. We contacted 4 different radon companies to get estimates. The prices ranged from $2000 to $1100. The lowest bid did not provide a guarantee for fixing the problem. A1 Radon was the second lowest in cost and did provide a guarantee. Andrew was very knowledgeable and did help calm my nerves. Our house had a unique design in that we had a crawl space on one end of our house and a new addition with drain tile on the other side of the house. Andrew came in with confidence and knew right where to place the mitigation system. He did not see the need to seal off the crawl space, which was highly recommended by two of the other radon companies (most expensive ones). He also gave the guarantee that if installing one system wasn't enough to treat the radon issue, then he would do more work (install another system) to correct the problem at his expense. Thankfully he knew what he was doing and after installing the one system, our radon level came back at 1.5. I would highly recommend A1 Radon to others to treat their radon issue.. Andrew was great to work with!

The job went well- got quote over the phone, and the team came out within 2 weeks to do the job- took about half a day. Quick and painless; they cleaned up well and explained everything they were doing. Radon levels dropped down significantly. Would highly recommend.

A1 Radon Services arrived on time and performed quality work. They also cleaned up the area very well, so I didn't have to do anything more once they left. They continued to work with me until the radon levels in the home were under recommended levels. This meant creating multiple access points and testing multiple times. Because radon testing takes months, they followed up to ensure levels were low enough and I was satisfied with the outcome.

We had a great experience. I received a quote soon after contacting A1 Radon Services with our home information. And we were able to schedule the work within the first week of being in our home. And the work cost less than quoted because our existing electrical was able to be used (that is, they didn't need to call in their electrician). Now our system is working and the post-mitigation radon test came back with 1.1 pCi/L.

All went well, except the electrician received date of work to be the next day. Therefore, I needed to contact A1 services regarding the delay of the electrician which was to immediately follow the mitigation process. The office informed us the dates were scheduled in ERROR. Although no harm to the service, a delay and waiting another day to have service occurred. The electricians (2) arrived promptly the next day and performed their work in good order, professionally and courteously. I appreciate the coordination of these two vendors as partners in the Radon reduction process. Thank you A1 and Brothers Electric Company!

We had to install a radon mitigation system because of radon levels being around 15. I called four different radon companies and each one quoted different prices. During the process of searching our home to find the best location to install the system, we did come across a crawl space we were unaware of. We also did a large addition 2 years prior giving our house basically two different foundations. Here is how each company differed in their approach to treating our home. One radon company quoted us $1100 and was planning on installing the mitigation system in an area that no other company recommended. He did not plan to tap into the drain tile, but to go into the old existing foundation of our house. He did not offer a guarantee and when I told him we found a crawl space he never returned my messages for a price change. The second company said they would have to give us a bid in two parts. They said they would treat one side first for $1585 and if that wasn't enough to fix the radon problem, we would have to pay more to have the crawl space mitigated and sealed as well. They did give a guarantee. The third company scared us. He came in and told us it would cost us $2000 to mitigate and it was absolutely necessary to have two mitigation systems in our home (old and new sections of the house) as well as to seal our crawl space. A1 Radon Services came in with the second lowest bid and with a guarantee. Andrew, from the beginning, shared his knowledge of radon treatment with much confidence and certainly helped settle my nerves. He said that some companies will jump right to sealing and treating the crawl spaces when that is not always necessary. He felt confident that treating the new addition would be enough and if it wasn't, he would install a second mitigation system for free. Andrew was able to get us on the schedule to install a system 2 weeks after we spoke. The job was done well and our radon level came back at 1.5. We are very thankful we used A1 Radon Services, and we would recommend them to others.

The estimate went well. I called a few other companies that deal with radon and I'm deciding on which one I want to go with.

Andrew communicated well throughout the entire process and did a great job with the installation of the radon mitigation system. Before the system was installed our radon levels were 5.5 pCi/L. After the system was installed our radon levels went down to 0.5 pCi/L (which he said is the same as the outside air). Obviously, results will very for every home, but I'm very pleased with our results and would recommend working with A1 Radon Services.

We needed to have the radon mitigation system installed prior to closing on a house. Andrew did a great job with communication between us, the sellers and our bank and went above and beyond to provide punctual documentation and communication. We are very pleased with the work done and how on-time they were. They had even called us when they had a cancellation to see if they could get the work done sooner!

It went perfectly! Andrew was very responsive and helpful with my initial inquiry, and made sure I understood what was happening when he was on site doing the installation. He also provided a post-mitigation radon test for us and kept tabs on the results, letting us know when the final results were in. And, of course, it worked. Radon in our basement is now at or below "outside air" levels. The price was also very reasonable and Andrew provided an accurate estimate. Couldn't be happier!
