A pre-sale home inspection revealed higher than normal radon levels. We had less than two weeks to address the issue before closing. I contacted Andrew with A1 and he immediately returned my phone call. Andrew was very professional and scheduled our job within a week. On the day of installation, A1 arrived on time and completed the job as promised. Andrew and his partner did a great job installing the ventilation piping and the system worked as promised resulting in a passing inspection. Andrew was very easy to work with and the quality of work was top notch. I highly recommend A1.

I called A1 Radon because the radon levels in my home were elevated. Andrew was very accommodating and a the mitigation system was installed quickly. A post mitigation test showed the radon levels were still high. At no additional cost Andrew was able to get the radon level in my home down below the EPA recommended level. It was a pleasure working with Andrew. His prices were reasonable and I would definitely recommend him to a friend or family member.

Excellent!! . They did all the installation process like a clock work.. My radon test reading was about 4.00pCi/l before the radon mitigation . After that , I did the test using the test kit , recorded for 6 days. Radiation level was reduced to 0.5 . I am fully convincnced that I have a installed Radom mitgation system with the services help of the right professionals.

I would HIGHLY recommend A1 Radon Services! As a new homeowner I was paranoid about having work done on my house. I wanted to understand the every part of the process and know what was going on. I asked a lot of questions and Andrew and his crew were very friendly and thorough when answering them. They made me feel comfortable with the process and did a beautiful job installing the equipment. My radon levels went from 7.9 pCi/L prior to installation to 1.5 pCi/L after the work was completed. He gives a 2 year warranty. If you go with anyone else you are WRONG!

The whole service experience is superb. This is actually the second time we use their service. We are very happy with the service quality and reasonable price. Andrew is very responsive to emails and questions. They arrived right on the scheduled time, three persons did 2.5 hours job in the chilly garage. The piping was properly designed and hidden on top of the ceiling in the garage. The outcome is fantastic, my Radon readings was reduced from around 25 to 0.5. Very nice job done. I would recommend their service to anyone in need of Radon mitigation service.

The service provided by A1 Radon Service is superb. This is the second time I use their service. The last time was about 3 years ago, and the quality and price is the main reason I choose them again. They are very responsive to the service request through email. They arrived on time on the service date. It was a little chilly but they managed to work in the garage for 2.5 hours. The piping was hidden on top of the garage ceiling which was very nice. The outcome is excellent, the radon level is reduced from around 25 to 0.5. I would recommend them to anyone in need of radon mitigation system.

It was a difficult house to do because of crawl spaces and an added structure with a multiple drain tile systems. They did a fabulous job of concealing the entire system, even after having to bore several holes. They were always prompt, did an excellent job of cleaning up after multiple visits (again because it was a tricky house to do) and honored the original quote despite the difficultly. Now someday when we decide to sell, it will be one less thing we will need to worry about plus we now have a healthier environment to live in.

Andrew and his crew member were friendly, punctual, very professional, and did QUALITY work! His strong point is communicating what needs to be done and he gets back to you via text, email or phone in a very responsive manner. Installation went smoothly & quickly! It is a quality installed system! Very impressed! Installation took a tad over an hour. Immediately after install, two electricians came out to connect the fan in the attic. They had a difficult time finding a hot wire, however, finally found one and installed the electric to the fan - also nicely done! Andrew left a radon test for 3 days in the lower level (uses same radon test that inspectors use) & when he came back to read it, the levels were very impressive! He then sent us a report via email the same day and we were able to forward the report to our agent so he could forward it to the buyer’s agent. It seemed daunting to me at first to deal with with this radon issue we had to fix, however, Andrew alleviated all my concerns I had & I HIGHLY recommend him!

After checking on Angie's List for reliable contractors, I obtained a couple quotes for the work. Both contractors provided a quote without visiting the house. They were able to determine their price based on knowledge of the neighborhood, pictures from the real estate listing, and a sketch of the floor plan I provided. I had a few questions about the work and I was impressed with the quick responses from A1 Radon. I was a little concerned about where the vent pipe might need to go and before making my decision I needed confirmation that the proposed location would work. I asked both contractors to come to the house and verify that their initial assessment of conditions was accurate. Andrew was there an hour after I called him and was able to provide me the answers I needed to be comfortable with what would be done. The other contractor declined to make the visit. I also liked the fact that A1 Radon performed the post-installation radon test with the same brand of detection equipment used by the home inspector. In my opinion, having a post-inspection report that presented the same details and formatting as the original report was helpful for everyone to review. The new system brought the average level down to 1.3. I also liked the fact that his electrician included a light in the attic that the other contractor didn't include. Overall, I'm very pleased with the work performed and the service provided by A1 Radon Services. The installation went just as described and expected. Andrew was very easy and enjoyable to work with. He was responsive to my questions and prompt with his work. I would hire him again and recommend that anyone needing a radon mitigation system contact him. Lastly, A1's quote was slightly higher than the other contractor but for the reasons noted above, I felt the little added cost was worth it.

EXCELLENT. I was very impressed at the initial consultation. Andrew thoroughly explained what needed to be done and we set the date of service. On day of service they arrived on time and did an exceptional job at the install and the clean up. It was like they were never there. We did a post radon test a week later, sent in the test and Andrew followed up right away with the results...definitely would use them again if we needed, but with their quality of work I don't think we will need to. Could not be happier. They were prompt, friendly, helpful, and reasonably priced. They even helped with an unrelated task that they had the tools for.

A1 did a great job. Installed the new mitigation system quickly, efficiently and cleaned up very nicely. Team was punctual, friendly. The radon levels on our mail floor went down from 4pCI/L to 0.3pCI/L. Everything went very smoothly from the day I contacted A1. Andrew was very professional and answered emails very promptly. Explained in great details on how the mitigation system works and the process involved in installing one.

It was a fairly standard job, Andrew Costigan performed the work. He arrived promptly and on-time, and the work was completed within the estimated time frame (about 3 hours). The electrician was separate (subcontracted) and came later in the day. The radon levels before where hovering at about 14, but after the mitigation system was put in, the levels dropped to less than 0.5. Very happy with the results! They did an excellent job.

Was effectively reduced. First contractor bid included superfluous and expensive recommendations. A1 Radon explained what was truly necessary and they did a great job.

I reached out to several top-rated (per Angie's List) radon mitigation system providers servicing the White Bear Lake area. Andrew from A1 responded almost immediately. Communication was prompt and professional. Mitigation system installed as discussed. A couple of weeks later, when the test results showed radon levels hadn't subsided as expected, they immediately came back out. Turns out I have drain tile in the basement, but it had been concealed from view and I hadn't disclosed it to the team initially. Andrew and his team revisited the mitigation system so that it took into account the drain tile. This revisit was entirely free of charge. A1 kept it professional at all times. Pleasure to work with. Highly recommended.
