 + -1 moreThe roof replacement itself went well, but the crew neglected to install the two roof vents that were included in the contract. In the past two years I have repeatedly tried to communicate with Ernest, but my calls were never returned. The lack of those roof vents prevented the garage attic to properly vent (the garage is heated during our cold Minnesota winters) and we had some serious ice dam issues as a result. All in all, a very disappointing experience.

concrete driveways
 + -1 moreThey poured the concrete on a Thursday, and cut the expansion joints on a Monday. Within 30 days, the driveway was cracked. When I called and informed the owner of what happened, his reply was "concrete cracks". After some discussion, he came out and looked at the drive and then blamed a tree root (?!?). He did offer to apply a sealant, but was not going to repair his obviously faulty work. I would never use this guy for anything -
Description of Work: We contracted Ernst Construction to replace our driveway and garage floor. The project scope included removing the old driveway and floor, improving the base (putting down enough class 5 fill to support the load) and pour the new floor / drive.

 + 0 moreHe has done other work in my neighborhood. They are reasonable in costs. They are very effective and reliable. They do all the follow-up necessary to complete jobs. The roof cost $2,600. I think they were less expensive than a lot of other contractors.
Description of Work: I used Ernest Construction Corporation to do roofing and insulation. They did the roof last fall and they did the insulation in January. My soffits were sagging because I had ice and they put in insulation. They just finished yesterday doing all the soffit work because they couldn't do it in the winter. Mine was bent because of all the ice and they straightened it up. They put extra holes in the plywood to prevent ice jams.
