Owner George Fitzenberger sold me on using his company over the other the other 5 companies I interviewed by promising excellent customer service. When we signed the contract, he said some one would be out next week to measure the windows. No one called for 2 weeks. I had to call 2 times to get some one out. That is how the rest of the job went. They never called proactively, I had to hunt them down for each step of the process. It was very frustrating when each person I spoke to had no idea what the others were doing, not even the receptionist. The windows and trim were finally installed 3 months later. They did an average job of workmanship. The installer left a lot screws and metal bits in my yard and did some small damage to the interior wood trim. They did come back and fix 2 things that were not done right. When I expressed my frustration to owner Dave Saala, he did not apologize, just said, "Oh well." They also filed the city building permit using the wrong name.

It was great. On time for estimates, work was charged exactly as estimated & completed within the time frame provided. Install was very well done and clean-up was good, too. I had one small issue (a rough spot on one of the windows) and George came out looked at it, ordered a replacement window sash. Two weeks later it's been replaced. Very smooth job.

They did a good job as usual. They gave us guidance on the type of window we should go with and why. They worked with our schedule. They kept the work area clean for the most part and were responsive to our concerns.

George Fitzenberger came out to discuss our options and he seemed very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We decided on Anderson Eagle windows. There was one discrepancy on the final order regarding a triple window. George changed the order and did not pass along the additional expense because of the misunderstanding. We were then given an estimate for the work to be done and the windows came in a bit earlier than expected. We were called to arrange the time work would start and they came as promised. The finish on the first order of interior trim came in too dark. It turned out that Eagle used the same name for two stains (one was for commercial use). This caused a delay in the completion of the work but I was called with updates on their progress and given a date for the trim to be put on. The quality of work is excellent and the customer service is great. We are very pleased. I will be using this company for future projects: roof replacement and siding.

From start to finish the job went smoothly. George is a pleasure to work with, and his installation crew (John and Mike) are top-notch. And these large windows on the second floor were not easy to install! I highly recommend this company and couldn't be happier with our new windows. The prices were competitive. I had a few other window companies come out for bids and was hoping that George's bid would come in within our range because I liked him the best in terms of sales people and I wanted to give him the business (plus I like the fact that this is a small business and that you're dealing directly with the owner. It makes it feel more personal). When I received the formal bid in the mail I was completely psyched because it did come in just below the other bids, and with the Angie's List discount I was even more enthusiastic to work with this company. Overall fantastic experience. Will use them again for subsequent jobs.

George came to my home and discussed various options for replacing and/or repairing these windows. He was friendly and helpful. Once I decided to proceed with the work, another person came and re-measured the windows and assessed the work to be done, also friendly and helpful. I was told that the work would probably take about two days, but in the end, it took about a week (rain delays, the sash replacements didn't arrive on time, and there was some misunderstanding with some of the workers about what needed to be done). Communication between various people doing the various stages of the work was not always clear, resulting in some confusion (on the workers' part and on mine). The workers did a generally very good job of cleaning up inside my house, with the exception of the garage where they did some sawing. However, the end product is terrific. The windows look great and they are a vast improvement over my old windows.

They came out right away and fixed the problem for me. I'd use them again and recommend them to others!

I've had the entire home redone. I've never had a better experience than with Exterior Enhancements. They are extremely nice and professional. He always told me exactly what the quotes would be, and then left the decision up to me. Mike did the installations and did just beautiful work. They previously did some work for me that was good, but had a few mistakes. When I had them out again, they gave me a great deal at cost for my troubles. They even threw in 2 crank windows for free and wrapped the windows at cost because they wanted me to be satisfied. It wasn't just the great work, they really wanted me to be happy.

From start to finish the project went very well. George came to our house and gave us an estimate. He was very knowledgeable and did not pressure us at all about making a decision (unlike other companies we had received estimates from). We were working on kind of a time crunch as one of the windows being replaced was in a nursery, and we were a little over a month away from my due date. George assured us that they could complete the job in time, and they did - even finishing it a week earlier. The contractors that came out to the house to do the work were extremely friendly and efficient. They finished the job in less than half a day. My only complaint was that George's business partner (and I believe co-owner) seemed a little unorganized, and my husband, who did most of the communicating with him, was frustrated at times. However, for the price and the quality of work that they did this was a minor inconvenience.

They have really good follow up, any issue we had was taken care of right away. They did a great job and i would use them again.

We had a very good experience from start to finish. George is very good to work with, great communication and very accommodating to get our needs met. Dave, his partner, was also good to work with. The crews they used were very good at their work, and we are very satisfied with the outcome of our job. It took longer than we expected to complete the work, but due to it being done in the winter, I'm not sure it could be avoided. Our only complaint is that the lumbar yard they used was not as good as they were: some mistakes in ordering our windows, the door for our interior had some defects and took longer to resolve than we would have liked. We think they should consider a new supplier, because it mars their otherwise stellar reputation to depend on this supplier. It also took a long time for them to return for final cleanup, but again, winter and snow were a factor. Our house looks better than new!

Exterior Enhancements transformed my house into a home! I purchased an old drafty 1950's house with little to no insulation. The home audit told me a new furnace was not enough. After receiving 8 to 9 estimates on siding, George Fitzenberger addressed my concerns before the energy saving sales pitch. George helped me design the front for curb appeal by integrating his top of the line Polar Wall Plus home accent line by adding shakes to replace old cedar shingles. Only these "shakes" never need to scrape, paint with the impact resistant solid feature that cheap vinyl doesn't offer. The crew, even in the cold and snow, were hard working, consistent, and asked about each fixture or door as they proceeded with a two-story remodel. The project was completed on schedule. The crew is professional, skilled, and addressed my questions daily. George's partner, Dave is very knowledgeable and considerate. I definitely recommend Exterior Enhancements for price, for reliability and for RESULTS.

We decided to go with another company due to the difference in the bid.

They went over the brand options before they did the job. The original windows came in the wrong color. They had to stop the job and re-order them all. They stopped the job and re-ordered everything at their own cost. They didn't hesitate about the extra work. They were very polite and did an excellent job.

From my first meeting with the owner/sales man of Exterior Enhancements to the cleanup after the job was completed I was totally satisfied. I plan to use them in the future when I replace other windows in my home.

I think the end result was very good, the house looks far better than it ever did. The process had some hiccups although the company responded to any complaints/requests. It took some effort on my part to keep track of things. The crew, while they did a good job, could have communicated better with me.

It went fine. There was a two day delay in the middle because the siding was out of stock. The crew was very nice and cleaned up after themselves. The owner came out to review the project when it was finished.

From the start, George impressed me as no-nonsense, honest, and down to earth. They came in with a very competitive bid and throughout the process performed with integrity. They even came back to do special flip up eave spouts for me, so the sidewalks wouldn't be blocked.

George came out (on time) and gave a fair price estimate without hard-sell, we looked at samples and compared this company with two others. (The other companies we got estimates from were more concerned with us signing paperwork before we even talked about the work details!) The crew came out a little later than we'd hoped, but they were quite busy after the area hail damage. While most of them didn't speak English, and sometimes communicating was difficult, they were amazing workers and did some really creative work around our unusual windows. It looks just beautiful. Price was reasonable and as quoted. They helped us with our insurance company so everything went smoothly and no surprises.

I really like their work, they do a really good job. They fell down one time in communications, that was the only problem. Otherwise they're excellent.

I left two calls for this company to obtain a bid on what I anticipate to be a fairly small job- repair fascia and trim on a garage and replace the service entrance door. The first voice mail was left on 10/9/06 and the second a day later on 10/10/06. Neither call was returned.

We really liked the salesman, George. He seemed very honest and personable. Their price was competitive but we chose another vendor because the line of windows they rep (Simonton) did not provide the option of having the windows be a different color inside than outside. The other vendors provided that option which was important to us. We received the bid in the mail shortly after the appointment but never received a follow-up phone call which I found odd. Not a deal breaker but something I noticed. I want a company that clearly wants our business. I would consider hiring Exterior Enhancements for other work needed around our home.

They did a good job, everything done as expected, except for leaving quite a few nails on the deck that we later found, but overall very good.

The crew did a great job, professional, punctual, and price was competitive. There was a latch that was not working right, a representative came out to fix it as soon as we called.

George is very professional, respectful and kept us informed throughout the entire process. The workers were neat and tidy. We could not be happier with the product and process. We were concerned about the interior molding, which is walnut and original and wanted to keep it intact and match it as closely as possible. George is trustworthy and did an excellent job with preserving our old home while updating with our much needed new windows. We will definitely use them again when we replace the rest of the windows in our home.
