It went great. The person who first came out to do the consultation was very professional and brought color samples. I picked out the carpet, the installers came when they said they would and did a great job.

I had a great experience with Bloomington Carpet & Floor. Their showroom is expansive, with a wide variety to choose from. Tim and Casondra were very knowledgeable and friendly, and patient with me as I agonized over my decision. I felt like they really valued my business. I was also very impressed with their installers. My house looks great.

Flooding during the June soaking rains meant our carpeting had to be removed and the space thoroughly dried out. When it came to replace the flooring, at first we shied away from carpeting, and we went to Bloomington Carpet and Floor for a competitive bid on vinyl flooring. When Tim came to measure, he discussed our options and convinced us that carpeting would be a better solution than other more expensive alternatives. Back at the store, Cassondra helped us choose a comfortable, attractive and economical carpet and coordinated scheduling the installation. The only hitch was that when we had a runner bound for the stairs, the bound piece proved to be short, and an installer returned several days later to install the last piece. The room now looks even better than before the disaster.

They did an excellent job, arrived on time, completed as scheduled, were helpful in making decisions for what would work on that sagging old kitchen floor. They were pleasant, helpful, courteous, professional - and the highest praise: the whole process was easier and a lot less stressful than I would have expected. They rock!

Both services went very well. Everyone we worked with was very professional. The store manager,sales woman, floor repairer and carpet installer were terrific. They all did their jobs very well. The repair is great and the carpet looks terrific!

This job involved removing old carpeting that had been placed on top of an old asbestos-containing, linoleum flooring. I was very surprised that unlike some of the big name advertising companies (like Empire), the marketing person said their team knows how to safely handle installation over asbestos and no abatement was necessary after he looked at the tile condition. I already had the abatement estimate because I figured no one would touch the floor without having the abatement done first. I was quite happy that Bloomington Carpet did not require abatement. They were very respectful and had no problems with my pets. Noise & dust was minimal (installation was on the 2nd floor). The installers arrived on the agreed date, early in the morning. They worked relatively fast and didn't take many breaks. The finished results are a beautiful floor. No more asbestos! No more old dirty carpet. They even trimmed the bottom of a closet door that was always dragging. The laminate looks beautiful and is easy to sweep clean. When there were any questions, communication response was fast. Everything went very, very smoothly. I could not have been happier. The installers were both named Jason too so I didn't even have a problem remembering their names. Leah, you were great too. :)

Leah, our sales person, was very helpful with the selection of our carpet and was very prompt getting our installation scheduled. The carpet installers were on time and quick about the job. But we had a few issues: 1) They scraped up my freshly painted walls (about a 10 foot long section) and didn't say anything to me. I contacted Leah about the issues, and she did refund part of my payment to assist with the cost of needing to repaint my hallway. 2). They didn't notice I had a pocket door going from the hallway into the kitchen. Where they installed the threshold of the carpet prevented us from closing the pocket door. I contacted Leah and she scheduled a repair person to come out shortly. I took the day of to meet the repair person, but he didn't show up. Apparently there was some kind of miscommunication about the job. The repair person was very apologetic and actually came by after hours to make the repair so I wouldn't have to take more time off work. Overall, we're happy with the carpet. The issues we had were minor, but definitely preventable. Leah did a nice job trying to make things right.

During the purchasing phase we specifically square footage coverage so we could be sure to order the correct amount. We also asked how much we should account for waste (bad pieces, cuts, mistakes, etc). The person who assisted us gave us the following information: - coverage per box is 20 square feet - plan on 15% waste - allow 4 days to acclimate to home environment. Based on our square footage (209.52 sf) we ordered 11 boxes - or approximately 220 square feet. HOWEVER - Box contents was far less than anticipated. Marked CLEARLY on each box -17.86 square foot coverage. Nearly 2.5 sf LESS than we were told. This calculated out to 23.54 sf LESS than we had anticipated and thought we had paid for. Thankfully, due to the quality of this product and the fact that our installation had virtually no cuts, this did not present an issue. However, we did wind up with less than 3sf remaining (mostly cut pieces less than 2" long, 1 broken piece, and 1 24" long piece). We had planned on using any extra square footage to fill in an area in two closets - this will not happen. Additionally, the installation installation instructions CLEARLY stated package - acclimate for 2 weeks and plan on 5% waste. The disappointment is with the individual helping us. Clearly she was not familiar with the product and did not take the time to do her job and find out the information we requested. The product was superior to our expectations. The product was Elements by Kentwood. Beautiful white oak color.

Leah was super helpful in selecting carpets, telling me about Angie List discount for hauling away old carpeting. They were prompt and great on follow through.

This is the 5th project I have contracted with Bloomington Carpet & Floor for our own personal home. The stability of the personnel we have worked with - Tim for measuring, and Leah Olson for selection and pricing makes the projects so much easier. Bloomington Carpet & Flooring has installed both wood flooring and carpeting in our home. They have a great selection of products, and are very good about letting a person get samples. etc. The latest installation crews were sub contractors, but did excellent work. Over-all, Bloomington Carpet & Flooring gives you almost a "small town" feeling of doing business, which I really enjoy. A Home Depot type store might be slightly less expensive, but over-all I much prefer working with Bloomington Carpet & Flooring. LEAH OLSON is a real delight to work with on flooring projects. I will be using Bloomington Carpet & Flooring again next spring for one more bedroom upgrade.

From the get-go this company provided wonderful personal and professional service. I liked the fact that they were a local company in our community. The employees we dealt with were friendly, helpful and courteous. Cassandra was patience and knowledgeable, giving us assistance when needed and intuitively directing us towards the best flooring for our particular needs. Our home was measured and Tim(?) gave us many options to go with in saving money on installation. Incredible. Finally Matt installed our floors. Matt was professional with a capital "P". He arrived when he said he would which amazed me in itself. You could tell he took pride in his work as he methodically installed our hard to fix flooring. His attention to details was greatly appreciated and his attitude outstanding. I have no complaints for this company, only accolades as they made a stressful experience so much easier and we are extremely satisfied with product, price and service.

Tim Ruzek is the manager at the store and was very knowledgeable about the different species of wood flooring, the process, and gave good tips to me about tearing out the existing flooring to prepare for installation. I went to several different stores and felt the most comfortable with Bloomington Floor and Carpet because of Tim, Cassondra, and the rest of the staff. On the day of installation, 2 installers showed up and later asked if they could work straight through until they were done. It was nice to see 2 people work so hard and do professional work. It has been a year now and the wood floors look brand new and I have not had any issues at all! I also had carpet installed which was looks great and was completed professionally and on time. I'm very picky and take my time deciding about how and what I spend my money on. This was well worth it and I highly recommend the company to anyone. Good work!!

From start to finish, this was a great experience. Cosandra listened carefully to my style requests, assisted in getting a ton of samples to try to get a true read on how the color would look in my house's lighting, and assisted us in ordering for installation in one room now, and getting the same dye lot for installation in another room at a later date. The staff person who came to measure did a superb job in minimizing carpet waste, and the installer couldn't have been any more pleasant! He was wonderfully careful, cleaned up after himself, and left us with a beautiful room. Pleased indeed!

We worked with Leah in the selection of our granite and backsplash materials. We were very happy with the wide selection available and the assistance we got in making the selection. We have used them in the past for much of our flooring and have always been impressed with the ability of their installers. Note: Bloomington Carpet & Flooring was sold to the Galaxy Floor Stores within the last year or two. The installers they had are no longer employees, but are now independent sub-contractors. That said, it appears that the subcontractors are largely the same people, and provide the same expertise. Leah arranged for Town and Country Granite to install the countertops. Jake came to measure, arriving promptly and answered all of our questions. We coordinated our installation time with Dave, which was unfortunately delayed 2 days due to a broken fabrication tool. The installers arrived on the scheduled day and installed the counters quickly and professionally. When finished, we noticed a couple of surface imperfections that were not apparent at first. Dave was very apologetic, and arranged for an experienced workman to come within a few days and polish it out. When he was done it looked great, and you cannot tell there was a problem. The only complaint we have is that at one of the seams there was a very small chip, and the seam is not perfect (The other seam is nearly imperceptible). While not perfect, it is a small nit in an otherwise good installation. Overall, a good experience; they seem to be very reputable and willing to make sure that you are happy with their work. Scott (not affiliated with Town and Country) was engaged to install the backsplash. He was fantastic, very punctual and very skilled. The end product was beautiful! He is generally booked a month out, but is worth waiting for. We felt the price for everything was exceedingly reasonable, especially compared to a Cambria product we had originally desired.

The service went very well. I was really impressed with their service and they covered the cost of calling the plumber so that the vanity would fit properly, they didn't bill me anything additional. They were very prompt, timely, and professional. The contractor was very neat and professional. I would use them again in the future.

The boss showed up to make sure that the installer knew exactly what was to be done. That is rare! The installer did not leave until he was completely done and everything was to my liking, he was very professional.

The carpet was well-installed, vacuumed after installment and room was left clean. Installers were prompt and knowledgeable. Kelly Fahey, the salesman in the store was very helpful and knowledgeable.

They were helpful in helping us pick out the flooring. They were helpful and patient, and knowledgable and it is gorgeous.

The sales person was excellent. She had some great ideas for carpets to fit our requirements. The measuring person was on time and did an effective job. When I purchased the carpet I mentioned that I was concerned about our baseboards being marked because we were having the rooms repainted. I was told not to worry about it - it was unlikely to happen and if it did happen they would take care of it. Unfortunately, the installer did make marks on the newly painted baseboards. I had our painter come back and touch up. I believe the carpet store would have also done this. It was just a bit of a disappointment. Also - we were not told about a second seam we would have in the room. We were only told about one. The carpet is beautiful. We are happy with the quality and the overall experience. It just wasn't as perfect as I had hoped.

I chose this company as they were rated so highly here. Their pricing is decent, but their customer service is horrible. I am looking to replace carpet with laminate in a rental property, and was trying to get an evening appt for an estimate since I work full-time. They do not do that. So I left and asked for an estimated quote based on the measurements. They were able to get that to me. I decided to set up an appt. during the day and they said 1-2 Tim could be there. Wasn't thrilled that I couldn't have a set time, but whatever. I drove over on my lunch 1/2hr, knowing it might be a little longer. At 1:30, I called as no one showed up, and wanted to make sure my appt was on his books and it was. Said he will be there by 2. Two hits, no Tim. I call the store, they call him, Tim calls me back, so sorry he's still at another measuring in South Mpls. He could be there in about a 1/2 hr. I've already been waiting an hour and 15 minutes. It has been more than a hassle to get a final quote and appt. Great prices, terrible customer service. I will not be going with them, even though they have been the cheapest. I think I know why they are so cheap now!

Overall this was a great experience and it greatly beautified my living room, dining room, stairs and hallway. It's like a whole new house.

Denise Matthews and the rest of the team were extremely helpful in offering professional advice and customer service. She worked with the venders on getting us the best prices possible for all the products we wanted and the estimate was guaranteed. They were very helpful in working in our small window of time after we closed on the house so it was all ready on moving day! They also were able to finish remnants of the stairs carpet for accent rugs around the home, which really add to the finished look. Visitors who have come to see the home usually gasp at the finished product and are amazed. I highly recommend Bloomington Carpet/Galaxy Floors to anyone out there, as I have to all my close friends and family who demand to know how I made my home so beautiful.

After going to MANY different places, and getting MANY different quotes, I chose to go with Bloomington Carpet and Floor/ Abbey Decorating Center because of price, and ease of demo/ install at one place. The selection was pretty much the same as any carpet or vinyl place (much better than a big box store). I was able to take home many selections, and they helped me pick the middle of my selections to live up to my dog and lifestyle. I was also very happy with their demo of all those layers of old vinyl. Their price was a bit cheaper than paying someone else to do it, and I was happy to be dealing with the same company. They were extremely flexible with scheduling, and were able to push it back a bit when the cabinets were not ready to be installed. They look great now, I just wish I had been able to be there in between the demo and install because I wasn't able to see the quality of what they were putting the vinyl on. I was not there for the work itself, but all reports were that the guys knew what they were doing, worked fast and efficiently, and were polite and accommodating. After they demoed and installed I had someone check that they had cleaned up, and they had very well- no dust in the basement or anything weird like that. The floors look great! Overall, great experience!
