Please know that we do everything we can to respond to people who contact us. If we missed failed to contact you, we apologize. Working in a dual role of the office and field is very difficult and during sometimes if we are really busy, we do prioritize our current customers over new work. If you look at our reviews, our "bad" reviews are due to a failure to call a new customer back when they have contacted us one time through the AL portal. We apologize for this failure, but we believe that a failure to call a potential customer back is not as important as attending to those customers with whom we have made an agreement to get their home back into livable condition. We have a lot of people who contact us for work and it is sometimes not possible to call everyone back. Again, we are truly sorry as we absolutely abhor it when people are not happy with us for any reason.

Description of Work: Multi repaired a difficult and delicate clutches ceiling repair caused by a master bathroom leak. I've used Multi on several occasions. They are rapid in response, excellent in their quality and very reasonable price wise. I would not use anyone else.

Description of Work: The estimator was fairly professional. He had to reschedule our initial appointment a few times, but I understand people do get busy. What I could not understand was I had a very small bathroom. It probably would've taken no more than two sheets to three sheets of drywall to do the entire job. | | The estimator quoted me $1400. I thought that that was excessive, and that he had mistaken my quote with another quote. I called back and spoke to the estimator. He told me that it was a very small job, and that there are certain fixed costs that go with doing all drywall jobs. For example, they would have to have a truck drop off the sheets of drywall. He would have to hire A crew of two people to install the drywall. They would need to come back in 3 to 4 times to do the taping and the mudding. So, this does make sense to me, but is way too expensive. My thought: figure out how to do it myself. $1400.00 covers many sheets of drywall and a lot of mistakes.

Response from Multi Construction Services
We never like it when our customers are not happy with us, for any reason. It literally hurts our feelings as we put our heart and soul into trying to deliver excellent customer service to our customers. To receive a "D" rating because of price is something to which we feel that we need to respond. Our response to this particular review is as follows: 1.) We did not work for this customer. 2.) We offer competitive pricing. The work that we quoted included 5/8" drywall on the ceiling and 1/2" drywall on the walls of a bathroom for both labor and materials. Our measure had more board than mentioned in the review. The work included a touch up after the prime and a warranty. The work also included a full day's worth of fixing work on the first floor that someone else had started but had not finished. We would then have to come back the next day to sand this work on the first floor. This type of floating is labor intensive and requires a lot of plastic and protection to ensure that the dust is completely contained. We do not know who did the original work on the first floor, but we feel that you get what you pay for and we were being asked to clean up the first floor because someone else failed to complete their responsibility. 3.) The work that was to be done at this home would be done by our employees which is a standard practice on the work we do for homeowners. The discussion of hiring a crew is not accurate (we understand that terminology may have gotten confused as we refer to groups of our employees as crews). We pay competitive wages and benefits to our employees, have them fully insured, and we spend a lot of time and effort to train them. 4.) We make every effort to meet our appointments. We normally give a very small window of an appointment time in order to accommodate the needs of our customers. Not very often, but it does happen when we have to call to postpone the appointment for any number of reasons - including having to deal with an issue at an earlier time. We are always apologetic when this happens and it doesn't happen very often. Based upon the comments, it sounds like this was done in advance which is what we strive to do.

Description of Work: After providing an estimate that was accepted and contract signed. The work was never performed. They made several appointments that they never kept. It was very difficult to get them on the phone. They finally stopped returning my calls altogether. Very unprofessional and a major waste of time. I had to postpone follow up work several times because of their lack of care.

Our sincere apologies to the Mr. [Member Name Removed] In reviewing this situation with our carpenters, there were apparently some communication failures between internal personnel that occurred. We believe we have rectified this situation in the future.

At 3:45pm on Friday March 5th, I called this company and I was very frazzled by a situation I was in. The man who answered the phone said he would make a phone call and someone would call me back. At 4pm, someone called me back and said they would be here within an hour. Dan, is the man who came out. He gave me an estimate. He assured me that everything was going to be okay and that the drywall situation was cosmetic and not an emergency. He told me they would be out on Monday March 8th at 8am. They came out right on time and repaired everything over the course of 3 days. They did all of the drywall for the ceiling where I had skylights removed. They also repaired the walls because I had just had a major roof repair. Without fully understanding, they were here for me. They were so prompt and helpful. I would call them for anything that I might need.

We contacted Multi dry wall and they came out that day to look over the job and then e-mailed us an estimate; 2 days later at no charge. We agreed to have them do the work and they started that week. Very professional and punctual. The work was completed in less than a week as promised and the results are fabulous. Multi dry wall is a company we would use again, great job and very clean. My husband and I are so pleased.
