They came on time exactly when they said they would. They did what they said they would do in the estimate.

The crew worked around both snow storm and frigid temps and did a great job. We would hire them again.

Jim came to give us a quote. He was honest and up front. He was not an annoying sales person who required an hour of our time. Very knowledgeable and polite. We decided to use Richard's Roofing because of his fair price and his approach. The dumpster was delivered, the materials were delivered and we were on our way. They were done in 2 days. The crew worked hard, Jim stopped in several times to check in, and we had a great experience with them all. I appreciated the crew and the way they conducted themselves. There was no yelling, no swearing, just a lot of hard work. They were all very polite as well. The whole experience was so positive and although it is never fun to get a new roof, I am so happy we chose Richards Roofing!!

We think everything went well. We haven't been up in the attic to check it out, but everything seems ok.

They showed up early and worked like a well coordinated army. He also came up with a great solution for my extension with cathedral ceiling. It is a nice room but a problem with heat loss and ice dams. I was considering building in a ceiling but now I can keep the nice ceiling.

We chose to go with another company at a similar price. I had the impression Jim was rushed when he came to make the estimate so I didn't get any sense of rapport established. He did not offer any solutions to our two skylights or our chimney cap, whereas the other company did.

Overall, the experience was unpleasant. He rushed me through the entire roofing process. I was uncomfortable with the crew that demolished the roof; they didn?t seem very professional. The crew who installed the roof was a little better. Before the installation, I let him know that I wasn?t too certain about the color of the shingles once they arrived, and he said that he already had the roofing materials and basically that I was stuck. I felt very rushed. I?ve called a few times with other concerns, and he wasn?t very responsive. The times that he did respond, he never showed up for the appointment that we had discussed. I?m worried about the warranty on the roof, since it?s been difficult to get a hold of him for other concerns. The entire experience was horrible. I would not refer him to anyone.

Left a message to call me back as soon as possible. Within 15 minutes, Jim called me back and scheduled an appointment. Since he was in the area, Jim was out at the house within 1 hour. He went up on the roof and thoroughly explained what the issue was and what my options were. Then he quoted an entire re-roof job and went over all of the details. I was very satisfied with the service. I'm not sure how the price compares to others, since this was my first quote. I had a good feeling right off the bat with this company.

After checking 'the list' I ecided to try Richards Roofing beacuse they had won the Angie's List super service award in the past. I did notice that most customers they contacted were satisfied with their work, but they had a lot of 'F' ratings, for the customers who they did not call back or set up appointments with and never showed. Despite this, i decided to give them a try. My family room started to leak during a rain storm yesterday night. I called Richards Roofing at 10'15 am this morning to try and set up an appointment as soon as possible. The guy on the phone , I ssume was busy with another project, took my information and said he would call me back as soon as he got back to his truck. Well, it is 5:33 pm , all other companys are closed for the evening, and I am still waiting on that call from Richards Roofing. There seems to be an ongoing problem in Southeast Michigan with home service providers. I have been getting repairs done on my home all year, and the two main problems I keep noticing are most companies overcharge and are ripping-off the consumer, or the amount of companies with poor customer service .

The entire process went smoothly from the estimate to the completion of the work. The work itself was done in a single day. The crew was focused, courteous and professional. They also did a very good job of cleaning up afterward. My wife and I were reassured to see that this company had so many A ratings from Angie's list. We consider the fee for Angie's List money well spent for this big ticket item.

We were very happy with Richards. They were very efficient with every concern we had within minutes or hours of us mentioning it. We think they did a great job. We felt the price was fair. Their rep was really pleasant. They showed us different work they had done and different shingles. The only concern I had was that they could have been a little bit more careful when sliding shingles off the roof, but given how hot it was, I decided I wasn't going to grumble about it. They did everything my husband asked them to do. I would recommend them and have recommended them to people that stopped and asked us about our roof.

I called Richards Roofing on the 27th of Sept. Jim came right our and in about twenty minutes gave us an estimate, as well as a lesson in the different types and forms of covering. Richards Roofing wasn't the lowest bid, but they have a licence and are bonded and they will be around to enforce the warrantee in the future, if needed. The professional crew arrived early on the 29th and worked throughout the day to finish the job, in one day. It rained on the 30th and I spent most of the day waiting to hear a drip, there was none. A great fast job at a good price. I'm happy!

I called them to give us an estimate to replace our garage roof. They came and gave us the best estimate out of three I had done. Plus we got a discount for being an Angie's List member. They were very professional and prompt. The job was finished in 2 hrs. I would definitely have them do work for me again and give them a good reference.

When providing a quote they first did a full inspection. When they came to provide services they determined that most of the plywood would need to be replaced due to some dark signs that may be mold related. I asked to see this mold but was told it was already in the bottom of dumpster, this added over $2000 to price. Clean-up was not the greatest as we are still finding nails and old shingles in our shrubs. Had to come back to correct some loose fitting parts and I ended up reinstalling a downspout that was not put back correctly. Was told at the initial signing that once work was done we would recieve a full manufactures warranty doc. At the end all we got was a invoice reciept and told that was the warranty. Questionable!

The leak is now gone and we had several people out trying to figure out where this leak was. We spent about $2500 to have that area re-done, which seemed to be in the ball park for me. Our experience with him was very good. He came when he said he would and the price he quoted us was right. He cleaned up everything and he did a good job. We got them off the list.

The man on the phone set up the appt. for 8/28/10 between 1 and 3 pm . He never showed and never called.

They did a very nice job. They did the job very quickly. They were nice to deal with. It was a very fair price. They were courteous, quick, and careful. They cleaned up. They put on the roof on my long ranch house in a day and a half.

A tree fell over and hit my power line to my house. The line did not break however the weight of the tree pulled the flange that holds the power line out of the roof and bent it at a 90 degree angle. It also tore a large hole in the roof. After a electrician finished the electrical work I called Richards Roofing and he came out the next morning and gave me an estimate. They had a repairperson come out at about 1:00pm the same day. The repairperson did an excellent job and cleaned everything up. I would recommend this company to anyone because they are very customer driven, punctual and do an outstanding job.

The salesman was fast, friendly and on time. Installers arrived on time, did work in less than 2 hours.

Pricing was the most competitive estimate, job was complete in one day as promised, and all work was done to my satisfaction and expectation.

After two days, they returned my call regarding roof repairs. After saying they would come out and look at the job, no one showed up and there wasn't a phone call explaining why.

They were great not only did their job but corrected flaws in the job that had been left undone. Quality workmanship and pleasant employees. Would recommend without hesitation.

We called after a horrific storm to have limbs removed from roof; Mr Swift informed us there were bad areas and they could not just be repaired, it required complete roofing and it was possible it would leak through the roof if not done andsubmitted an estimate. I wanted to help homeowner (92 yrs old) and said I would get more estimates. the second roofer that came over said there was nothing about roof that needed complete re roofing and did not even want to charge her for coming over. It pays to always get a second opinion.

Richards Roofing did a great job. Better then I had expected because their price was much cheaper then everyone else. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Jim was very easy to work with. He came out promptly to give an estimate. He answered all the questions I had. They completed the job in one day. They kept the damage to my plants to a minimum. I would highly recommed Richard's Roofing.
