Description of Work: They did a fair to good job on about six projects but didn't complete them for a year. Months would go by with no contact.

Description of Work: "Father and Son does not do any of the work themselves but uses contractors exclusively. The supervisor Vince was easy to contact and responsive to our needs and requests. Project took longer than expected but there were very few days when someone was not at the house working. Vince did a good job of scheduling and letting me know what was scheduled to happen when. If we need more remodeling work done, we would consider using them again. |"

Description of Work: They resided a tudor style home, built in 1979, by removal of all tudor wood styling. Installed insulation wrap and tyvek wrap. Replaced dry rot when necessary. Installed board and batton siding on home and outbuilding alog with window, door ad eaves trim. Two installers who, ironically, were a father/son team. They were prompt,professional, and competent. They answered all of our questions, pointed out problem areas and gave solutions. I would strongly recommend them to family and friends. And, my heating bill has been reduced by 15 to 20 percent.

Description of Work: total remodle of the great room, including drywalling the ceiling and a bedroom.

Description of Work: wow, what a nightmare this has been and they haven't even done any work for me. Getting someone to return a call or schedule time to come to your house is like pulling teeth. When they finally did come out to look at my skylights which needed replacing, they quoted me $1,800 - ok so far. But then, due to me taking a while to get other quotes and them not calling back in a timely manner, it ended up being 2 months from time of quote to me calling to say "let's do this job." They graciously (sarcasm) told me they'd honor the $1,800 but when an entirely different guy than who gave me the quote showed up for me to sign the contract, $100 was added. In addition, he had to go up and measure again, ask what I wanted, etc. Holy crap. I sign the contract and the guy actually attempts to get me to sign something that says I will not cancel the contract within the 3 days I legally have to do so. He was really bewildered that I would not. All of this leading up to this point should have been warning enough - shame on me. Anyway, upon signing the contract, they take about 3 weeks to send someone over for final measurements and GUESS WHAT?? The job is now going to be $3,100 because they spotted some problems with my (7 year old) roof - the same roof other construction companies found no problem with! I could sign a disclaimer and get the original price and skylights, but if they leak, I am SOL. What a great way to do business!!!! In addition, none of the guys who called me gave a last name - one guy had a joke answering machine message for his outgoing message. The letter they sent me to "welcome me to the family" gave me a supervisor's name and then that person ended up not being my supervisor - what the heck??? So, now I'm attempting to get out of my contract with these horribly unprofessional thieves.

Description of Work: THEY PUT IN A BREAKFAST BAR AND MOVED SOME CABINETS. THEY ALSO TOOK OUT A WALL THAT SEPARATED THE KITCHEN FROM THE DINING ROOM.
