This was my first visit to Studio 9 salon. My previous hairdresser went on maternity leave so i was in search for new one. I found Studio 9 salon on the Angies list, read the reviews and decided to give them a call. I am very particular when it comes to haircut. i know exactly what i want, style wise and technique needed to accomplish the desired outcome. So , i called and asked for the person who has experience with short haircuts using razor only, and i emphasized that i wanted a razor cut, no scissors and no texturizing scissors. The lady said "no problem, we have a person who can do that" and i was all set. I went for my appointment, met the hairdresser and when we started talking, first thing she suggested was that she would do the scissor cut and at the end just finish up with razor! My answer was of course NO! The very next suggestion was that she can do the scissor cut and at the end she can use texturizing scissor that would give the same effect as a razor. Again i said NO! Finaaly she agreed to do the razor cut and at that point i realized that this will not end good. Long story short, this was the worst haircut i ever had, patches of unevenly cut hair, areas where is too long or too short, with my hair/head looking awkwardly squared shaped. At the end, when i was about to pay for the service (that i was completely unhappy with)it turned out that you can not leave the tip as a part of the total bill charged to your credit card, you can only do cash or include it in your payment by check. So i decided to write the check. It turned out that their printer for the cash register was broken so she could not issue the receipt to me?!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked he if they could give any kind of written receipt (since i am not paying with credit card i wanted to have some kind of proof). She looked at me very annoyed, i guess i was inconveniencing her?????????????? She grabbed a piece of scrap paper, scribbled something down and handed to me. So that was my experience, and i am never going back to that place again!

I found Sutdio 9 Salon on Angies List. I explained when I called for the appointment that I was new to the area and the receptionist asked what I was interested in having done. She chose Lori for what I wanted and the date that worked for me. I was VERY happy with her. She listened to what I was wanted and was a lot of fun to talk with. Since I was new, she made sure to show me around the shop and tell me a bit about the history. I am very happy with my hair and will be coming back when I am ready for my next cut and color! Mai did my nails and I was just as happy with her. She told me about the new shallac nails and I am glad I tried it.From start to finish, my experience here was very nice.

I looked for a salon closer to my home and decided to try this one based on Angie's List ratings. I was able to get an appointment in a few days. I arrived early and was taken in right away. My hairdresser was (is) Amber. She was friendly and listened to what I wanted. I rarely walk out of a salon with my hair just the way I want it, let alone on a first visit. But Amber got it right the first time. I am impressed and will definitely return.

From reception to leaving, everyone I encountered was very courteous and respectful.

Very pleased. I moved into the area about 9 months ago. I had used Paul Mitchell school because of not having a job when we moved here for my husband's job transfer. I now have a job and so made it priority to get a regular stylist. Very happy with the service I received. Anita listened carefully to what I wanted and gave me a great cut. She also took time to walk me around the salon to show my all their services since she knew it was my first visit. I've also been for a pedicure, pleasant experience as well.

I have been looking for a stylist for a very long time. I have very fine, thin hair, and contrary to what they say, most stylists are NOT good working with this type of hair. I spent almost all of last year growing out a cut to repair a cut that messed it up badly (not the first time this has happened). Since that time I haven't let anybody do more than trim the ends, so when I decided I really needed to finally find somebody qualified to help me I looked to Angie's List and found Studio 9 Salon. The reviews were good, and the web site looked interesting, so I decided to just stop in without an appointment to check it out in person. I was very impressed. The facilities were modern and attractive, the people friendly and sympathetic about my hair paranoia... offered me a tour of the place to help me get a better idea of who they were and how they work. I felt so comfortable with them, and could see they actually DID understand the thin-fine-hair-dilemma, that I ended up making an appointment right then. I met and talked with my new stylist ****LAUREN***** who is nothing short of incredible. She took the time to find what I was comfortable with and we went back and forth on ideas until we found a common beginning ground. What a relief from the "I know just what will look good on you" hacker types that I had dealt with in the past. She said she would take it a little at a time and we would work with it at my comfort level. Which we did, and I ended up with something I never would have thought would work on me but it does, and it looks great, and I love it! I will never go anywhere else, and Lauren has agreed that she will never leave there for the rest of my life (ok, I just made that part up). But to anyone else considering Studio 9 Salon, it and Lauren definitely have my vote. Stop in yourself for the tour and I bet you won't be disappointed.

I called to make an appointment and scheduled an appointment with Cherise for about a week in the future. I received a call a couple of hours later and was told Cherise could take me later that day. I arrived and was taken care of right away for color, partial highlight, cut, and blow dry. Cherise is talented and fabulous and I have been going to her for about a year. At the salon I used to go to, color, highlight, and a blow dry cost $160.00--and the stylist regularly damaged my hair. A cut at that salon would have cost upwards of $80.00. At Studio 9, I get color, partial highlight, cut, blow dry, and a couple of products for less than I ever spent at the other salon for far fewer services--and Cherise does not damage my hair. The stylists at Studio 9 do a great job. I highly recommend this salon.

Excellent salon. Very client-focused. Veronica is an artist for both color and cut. She listened, made suggestions, and created exactly the hair style I wanted based on what we talked about and a few photos I'd brought of cuts I liked. Then, she showed me how to achieve the look myself with a quick lesson on product, tools and technique. And, the owner, Vern, followed up my first visit with an e-mail to ask if I was pleased. Bravo! I've been there three times, and plan to remain a regular customer. They have a very informative website and e-mail accessibility for making appointments and reminders.
