I was referred to this salon by my sister and she was right! When I called for an appointment the person was friendly, professional and quite helpful. Sherri did a fantastic job with my difficult hair. Toni did a great job on my pedicure. Both were friendly and professional. I have already made my next appointments. Studio 9 will be my permanent salon.

I have been seeing Lauren and she is wonderful! I have always received such great service and I think it is reasonably priced.

I love Lauren. I got them off of Angie's list around 2 weeks ago and have been going there ever since. I like how they are up to date on the current styles in my area and they are open 7 days a week. I also like how if I didn't like my hair cut I could come back within two weeks and get it fixed.

It was really pricey but I liked them. They were kind, wonderful and very nice. They don’t try to convince me to go their way, they listened to what I want done with my hair. They were focused on what I like and making that happen.

I have been going there for over 2 years and I love the place, the service and the people!

This was my first time at Studio 9 Salon. I chose them because of all the good reviews they received. I was looking to find a better hair color, add highlights and to repair a horrendous hair cut I'd gotten elsewhere with a razor in January. My stylist was Brittany who met me right away even though I was early. She was friendly and bubbly. We had an extensive consultation first where she really listened to what I wanted. She helped me find a new base color that flattered my complexion. And then she added partial highlights just like I wanted. When we got to the cut she evened out and shaped only what was necessary to let it grow out from the bad razor cut I previously had. She also suggested something for the back of my hair that no one else ever had. I have short hair and all previous stylists just cut it straight across at the back of my neck. I told her I needed something done to the back to keep it from flipping up at the neck as it grew longer. I hated that. So Brittany suggested that we taper it closer to the neck and leave the ends more wispy for a softer look. After she blew it dry I was ecstatic! The color with the highlights was perfect, and the style was what I call messy sexy...which is a good thing in my book. After living with it for a week now, I have to say that I absolutely LOVE it. I will definitely be going back. While this salon visit did cost me more than I had been paying previously.....You get what you pay for at Studio 9 Salon! If you pay less elsewhere and you hate your hair when you leave, that's like throwing money down the drain to me. If you walk out of a salon feeling like a million bucks and more confident, it's worth every penny.

Once again Lauren did her exquisite job. She understand how our hair acts and how it should be shaped in the best possible way.

This was my first time there, and I went based on Angie's List recommendations. Unfortunately my stylist, Lori, did exactly what I asked her NOT to do--don't cut my bangs and don't put layers in the back. Luckily it will grow back, but I would have been better off going to Great Clips and saving myself some money. In addition, when I asked the receptionist for change from a $10 so I could give Lori a tip (at this point it wasn't clear to me how short it was in the back), I received two $5s back and no singles. That's pretty presumptuous, forcing me to leave a 20% tip. I've left tips as high as 30% when I really like the work, but that should be my decision, not theirs. I'll not go back again. Perhaps having a different stylist would have made a difference, but too late now.

I decided to try Studio 9 after years with another stylist and manicurist. I found scheduling an appointment that met my needs quite easy. the salon is very clean and the folks all very pleasant and friendly. Their pricing is a little on the high side but the service is so good I can bend my budget to cover it.

I asked for LJ because she had gotten a couple of nice reviews here on Angie's List and I was not disappointed. She's very nice, listens well and explains everything that she's doing. Will definitely go back.

I have been going to Linda about 5 years she does a great job.

I recently moved to Michigan and have been searching for somewhere to get my hair cut, nobody seemed to be able to get it right. I went to Studio 9 once in October and again in December, the salon is very nice and the service was great but the haircut was just "ok" with two different stylists. Well last week I decided to give it one last chance and made an appointment with Lynn. I am so glad that I did! I have never had anyone so attentive to my wants or needs, she paid attention to what I wanted, gave me advice on how I could improve my style AND explained what she was doing throughout the service. When I say explained I really mean it, she taught me how to style my hair at home to achieve the same look, from how much of each product to use, to how it would affect my hair. She gave me tips, tricks and suggestions and answered every question that I had. This was overall the best experience I have ever had at a salon and it was thanks to Lynn. PS You can pay with a credit card but cannot add gratuity, which is a bit of a pain. They do have an ATM in the salon but it sucks to pay a fee to tip your stylist so bring cash!

LJ was great. She was very good at determining what I wanted and more importantly she styled it how I wanted, not the way she thought it should be. I haven't been able to find anyone in the area that I felt confident in since I moved down here and now I have finally found someone local to go to. I will be going back.

I always have my roots done, hightlights, low lights, wash and cut. It takes about 2 hours - which is the norm. I am always VERY happy with Kellys work!!

LJ was awesome! I only waited for about 5 minutes before she took me back to her chair. She was wonderful to talk to, and seemed to understand my vague description of what I wanted for my hair (no small feat!) LJ did an absolutely great job on me. My hair looked, and still looks, incredible! I can honestly say that I've never been this happy with my hair! Also, because it was first time at the salon, LJ gave me a tour of the building and shared with me all of the many services that they provide (there are many!) Beautiful salon, decent prices, incredible stylist ~ I will definitely be going back!

I had tried them last summer. I am a seasonal client. I had my hair cut and my mother had her hair cut last summer and they did a great job. As a result I went back again this year. I was delighted with the service and the quality of the hair cut and products used. I also like the salon hours. There are plenty of hours of operation to meet my schedule. They are my go to salon here in Michigan.

Great experience! I finally convinced my boyfriend to go with me to a real salon for a decent haircut, instead of getting the cheapest one he could fine. Salon 9 is not some storefront salon. This is a big, stand-alone building and a full service salon. I was really surprised at how big it was. Every possible service including tanning (bed and spray). The salon itself is bright and contemporary, and my boyfriend and I were greeted right away when we came in by two young ladies at the check in desk. I saw patrons of all types there... men, women, big and small, young and old. So, while the salon has a "hip" vibe, it's clearly got a wide clientele base. I had filled out the online form ahead of time to request the type of stylist I wanted (personality, etc.), so I was very happy with Linda. I'm not a real fan of chit chat (I have to talk all the time for my job) and I like to sit back and just enjoy the salon experience. Linda was a perfect match for what I was looking for, personality-wise, and she did a great job with my fine hair. My boyfriend's haircut was done by Lauren. She was very friendly and nice, and it's the first time in six years that I've seen his hair really cut nice... not chopped up or uneven. He looks great, and he actually had a good time getting a haircut...which he never has. The price was pretty reasonable, considering this is a full service salon. After all, we weren't looking for and didn't want $10 hair cuts. With tip for both stylists and the cost of both haircuts, we spent about $80. But these are haircuts that will grow out nicely, so we won't need to jump right back in six weeks because the cut grew out awful. So, overall it was a good value. We will definitely be going back!

They were on time. My requests were amiably heeded. Everything felt good and smelled good. I even bought some of the products they recommended. It was well worth the eighty mile drive to get there. And now I will take my daughter (who has never taken her much-treasured long hair to a beauty shop) in to experience a new pleasure.

Besides the great reviews I found for the salon, I chose Studio 9 largely because of their fantastic website. I was so impressed with the website -particularly the section where you can request an appointment online, which led me to fill out a form where I answered detailed questions about my hair, hair cut preferences, ect. Through the form, you can even select options for the type of stylist you would like -including age, whether you want a conversationalist or not, and whether you want someone who focuses on contemporary or traditional cuts. All those questions are truly just optional, but it is so cool that they even exist so they can cater to all customers. They promise to get back to you within one or two business days, they got back to me the next business day. I selected the "get back to me by email" option (I am not as big with the phone), and the girls emailed. Paired me with Angela. They were courteous and quick to confirm my appointment. I was able to get the exact time and day requested (the day before Easter!). My hair cut has already gotten compliments from people who don't typically compliment my hair. And after the appointment was over, they sent a card to thank me for getting my hair cut there. From start to finish, I feel Studio 9 is excellent.

I wanted to tell everyone about my experience with Studio 9. I was not happy with my then current stylist and salon, so I checked around for another place to get my hair done. I have my hair tinted and cut every 4 weeks. Well according to Angie?s List and other places I checked, Studio 9 has a good reputation. I made an appointment with Kelly at Studio 9 for a tint and haircut. She did a great job! The next time she added highlights, which were perfect! I?ve been getting my hair done by Kelly for about 8 months now and I intend to stay with her! I?ve also had a wonderful pedicure with Ashley. I researched a procedure to straighten hair called the Chi Transformation Treatment. It is a very time consuming procedure and uses a variety of chemicals was done and what chemicals are used. I read the step by step instructions for this procedure. Even knowing that I could end up damaging my hair, I decided that I wanted to have my hair straightened. Kelly recommended that I use a stylist with more experience with that procedure. The gal that did it was very nice, and followed the procedure step by step. It is a very expensive procedure. Well, my hair was damaged and started falling out. I felt I couldn?t complain because, I couldn?t see that the stylist did anything wrong. But my hair was getting worse. So I emailed the salon to ask what I could do to help fix my hair. I got a call asking me to come in for a deep conditioning treatment. I did come in and Kelly gave me the treatment. Well Kelly obviously talked to the owner of the salon about my hair. The owner called me and went above and beyond to help me with my hair. Because of that my hair is healthier. Nobody did anything wrong and Verna still accepted responsibility and took steps to rectify the situation! I believe that this business owner knows how to run a successful business. She has a clean, well ventilated, great looking salon. She hires great people. But most of all Verna and her staff knows how to treat their customers.
