Bought my first new boiler in 1985 from Sears. I’ve had many different companies over the years to maintain or repair my boiler. Most companies really didn’t understand hydronic systems and just wanted to sell you a boiler. In 2014 I found Aireserv of Southeast Michigan and haven’t used anyone else since. In 2019 I needed a new boiler and contacted Doris at Aireserve. They have the expertise and skills to configure, match equipment to your hydronic system needs and implement. They focused on the needs of the entire hydronic system not just the boiler. I now have a technically current system that is extreme efficient and works excellently!!! It’s a pleasure working with Doris and Tom, and it’s rare to find in today’s world a company (people) that have the integrity and professionalism to make sure everything is done right! Worth every penny spent with them for a fine job. Recommended them to my neighbor across the street who also used them for her hydronic system.

I have used Air Serv for the last couple of years for the annual checkup of my furnace and air conditioner, and recently had cause to call them due to my furnace periodically malfunctioning. I was extremely pleased with Tommy, the technician who performed the work. He is thorough, knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and one of the best technicians I have had in my home to perform any kind of repair. The problem ended up being with a vacuum switch that was stuck, and needed replacing. He also identified and corrected other wiring issues with the furnace and took steps to bring the furnace up to spec, and it now correctly performs the cycle of operations - and he took the time to explain everything so I know what to look for in case of future issues. I totally trust him and his judgement for all of my HVAC needs, and would recommend him to all of my family and friends.

I used them in January. I also bought a service contract that also included looking at my air conditioning. So, they came out when we got moved in and did the air conditioning. Actually, it was covered in the service contract that I purchased from them, which is about $200, but it covers two furnaces. I was very satisfied. They were very prompt. I had them out twice. The service guys were great. Really it's an A rating down the line as far as I'm concerned.

This is "Serv" with a Smile, folks! These folks know Service like nobody's business. After living in our home for 22 years and going through countless HVAC companies we finally found one we trust enough to actually sign up for their maintenance protection program. This is something we wouldn't have dreamt of doing in the past. Truth be told, we wish most of the servicemen that have been to our home previously would be assigned to a 'witness' protection program so we wouldn't have to see them again. Ever. Because our HVAC unit is unique (make and location) we were limited as to whom we could call whenever we had a problem. Prior to learning about Aire Serv (many thanks to a dear friend) we hired no less than three other locally "recognized" HVAC companies none of which we would risk our reputations recommending. That all changed when Tom met us at our front door with a smile and a doormat (no less) that he set on the front porch to change into his booties. Imagine that! Usually I'm met with eye-rolling when I ask workers (ever so politely - so as not to offend) to put on the booties WE supply. We described the situation (long story) and Tom confidently explained what he saw as the probable cause, provided a quote and got to work. He worked quietly and efficiently and had the problem fixed in no time flat. After he was finished he cleaned the area "like it never even happened" (should be Aire Serv's slogan) and then took his time to offer some tips on how we might prevent problems in the future. We were stunned. The very idea: helping a customer in an effort to save them time, trouble and money? Wow, wow and wow! Tom has been out to our home annually for the past couple of years to handle our maintenance along with a few other things like installing our Nest Thermostat and he's become like a family member (the kind you want in your family!) to us now: the highest compliment that could be given to a serviceman, in my opinion. As a working woman who is very busy I write very few reviews but when I do there's a good reason. And when it comes to Aire Serv of Southeast Michigan "it's all good."

Service was awful.  The scheduler and the technician were very nice, but basically ill equipped to handle the simple task.  When the technician finally showed up at 3:00 pm Sunday, and after I cancelled two others from coming out earlier, he said he couldn't get the blower that evening but could gest first thing the next morning and have it done before noon.  It had been in the 90's, so very uncomfortable and I was willing to pay double or more to get it done.

Monday morning, I called the manufacturer and confirmed the blower was under warranty.  By 9 am I called Aire Serve and provided confirmation and that a qualified HVAC person could submit the warranty, not me personally.  I was assured I would be taken care of and not a problem. There was one or two service calls before me and he should be out in the afternoon to replace.


about 3:30 pm Monday, I received a call indicating they were not authorized to make the purchase from the supplier, and had to fill out an application to get the blower motor.  They were unsure when that would be accepted, granted or approved.  So, at 4:00 pm, the technician called and said I could purchase the warrantied motor myself for about $300-400, and they could install that evening for another $300-400. I was told the $89 I paid them Sunday, to confirm what I told them that the blower motor wouldn't work, could be applied to the install price. 

I told them I was extremely disappointed and felt they implied they could fix the blower motor on the make and model I provided Saturday.  Now, they were telling me the earliest I could get my AC working, was Wednesday if not later.  They would not refund any of my money for the trauma and misrepresentations.  This was a very "long" process for a warranty claim. 


I called someone else Monday evening and had it replaced for a total of $150.0 by noon Tuesday.  I highly recommend not using this company.  They caused to many extra issues and should have come clean the first day.  Doesn't matter how nice you are if you can't get the job done.

Tom is EXCELLENT!!!  He took apart my AC Condenser and explained what he was doing to service it.  He showed me a very rusty casing of the battery housing.  I was like, OMG, that needs to be replaced.  He's like, no, it still works and the battery itself is in good condition.  I thought that was very honest of him.  He even showed me the proper way to clean the AC condenser "grill/blades".  I look forward to when he comes in November to clean our furnace with the Consumer's Energy Furnace Tune-Up Rebate!

The company was on time. They placed a mat at the door and put on paper booties to keep from tracking through my home. I watched as they tuned up the furnace. They noticed that the humidifier was not running. After explaining the problem to me, I advised them to fix it. The parts needed were in the truck, so I saved the price of another service call. Overall I was pleased with the quality of the job performed.
