Worst service ever. DO NOT call these people for any reason. They are rude, unprofessional, and generally just horrible human beings. I drove to their business to talk to them about a problem I was having. When I told Rick the symptoms and asked his opinion he literally stared at me for a full eight or nine seconds without responding, I guess for dramatic effect, before finally responding "Kiss of death". Then he just continued to stare at me for another five seconds before I eventually had to ask him "Okay. What does that mean?". I'm not making this up. He continues to stare at me for another ten seconds and then says "Heat exchanger". Silence. So I say "Okay. That sounds bad. What do you recommend?" More awkward staring followed by "You might need a new one". I left and went home to my frigid house and to verify that it did in fact smell acidic, apparent confirming that it was a bad heat exchanger. When I went back to their store, the extremely rude enormous rhino of a woman said he wasn't there and after explaining to her that we had been "working together" to solve a problem I had she apparently decided I was worthy of information and told me her would return in approximately an hour and a half. I guess this was all the information she was willing to distribute because she just wandered back into the office with the huge window and sat down in front of a meal meant for a small family and just dug in like it was her last meal. So I gave him some time and gave him a call back after two hours and he told me he would call around and check for parts and call me back. That was two weeks ago and he has never returned my call. I had been in there before purchasing parts for my furnace last year and an older gentleman, presumably the owner, talked with me and helped me determine what part I needed and I purchased it from them. I could have bought it online for about $100.00 less but I figured since he was good enough to help me identify the part, he deserved my business. He is apparently no longer in the office and Rick has the interpersonal skills of a baked potato so I would avoid these losers like the plague. I called Kotz Heating, Cooling and Plumbing (248-674-4999) the next morning after not hearing back from Captain Grumpy Pants and they came out within two hours of me placing the call. I spent over $11k for a new furnace and air conditioner with those guys and would do it again. I honestly would have gladly purchased an entire new system from Lizut if Rick wasn't such a tool. You're a horrible human being for treating clients with such blatant disrespect and just leaving me and my family hanging without heat. Lizut deserves to be out of business and I truly hope that happens so no one else will have to deal with these lowlife garbage people.

I remember [Member Name Removed] now. I am the extremely rude, rhino of a woman that [Member Name Removed] dealt with when Rick was not here. I told [Member Name Removed] that Rick was not here, and I told him I was not able to give technical advice. [Member Name Removed] obviously did not understand a response in English. So, I slowly tried again to make him understand I could not give him technical advice, I am the office assistant not a technician. We are generally not supposed to give advice without seeing the unit. That makes us liable if anything goes wrong. [Member Name Removed] continued to press for information, at that point I told him again Rick would be back later and went back to my lunch of Salmon and asparagus, (not enough for a whole family.) As it was my lunch hour. (Davids insults to my size and character and his made up scenio should be removed by Angi. The language is inappropriate. I could also attack Davids appearance that was unkept, his clothes were dirty, and he was extremely short and ugly. My 5 ft 10 height must have intimidated him for he looked to be about 5 ft 6, Pitiful man. My being attacked because he did not get the attention, he should have gotten from Rick is childish and uncalled for.)

Its so nice to work with someone who really knows what they are doing. Lizut showed up, did assessment, went for parts and fixed the same day. And the work was in a tiny, miserable attic. The hourly rate was a bit high, but you get what you pay for. I would definitely use them again.

They performed a great job, cleaned up after the job was done and you couldn't tell someone was even there. Would hire again.

I am pretty sure they are competitive. I just need to make sure they did a good job. I have two air conditioners on my system. I only had to replace one, they other one is working. I think they are excellent. They are always reliable. They are always clean. They are always present.

THEY WILL NEVER GET MY BUSINESS!! I setup an appointment for an estimate in June. Got a all from Chris 1 hour before appt time he running late and couldn't make it at that time. I gave him the lockbox code for access to the house and was told he would get back to me with an estimate. By the second and third week of July I was calling the office for the status. Each time I was told they would check and call back. NO CALL BACK. The last week of July I got a call from a different person scheduled a walk through on July 28. It is now third week of August, I have called 3 to 4 times asking for status. NO CALL BACK! I completely understand if they are busy. If they cannot get to me for a month, two months, or a year - all I need is a returned call. A simple returned call with an estimate of work and a possible start date. Who conducts business like this???

Don came in and diagnosed exactly where the failure was then went outside to check the unit. He explained why the system failed so that I could understand exactly what happened. My unit is 19 years old but he was able to get it going and was honest about the life expectancy so that I can plan ahead. I would not hesitate to use Lizut again and I would recommend them.
Description of Work: My AC wasn't cooling properly, the provider asked exactly what happened prior to the failure and diagnosed the issues that were preventing the system from working properly.

I decided to replace the thermostat myself with a non programmable just to make sure. If I switched the power off on the furnace and then back on it would come on and then go into lock down mode. Nothing changed.I called Payne and they recommended I call Lizut. They not only service provider but are a parts distributor. On the first visit there was nothing definitive but the high limit switch kept sending it into lock down. It was replaced for $213. I would set the thermostat and it would come on for a short time then go into lock down again. On the second visit after checking everything again, Tim found air coming out the flute safe guard which was sending it into lock down. I mentioned that it had been suggested to and quot;over ride itand quot; and that I wasn't willing to consider it. He said that should never be done because it is very important for the safety of the furnace. The furnace is 135,000 btu and the flute duct was 4and quot;. He thought that maybe it needed to be 5and quot; for better airflow.I am a senior on a very tiny fixed income. They gave me a break on the cost since it seemed that the part replaced before may not have been the problem. He put in the 5and quot; pipes. Now there was no air coming out the flute safe guard. Now when I set the thermostat it kicks right on and goes up to the desired setting. I have had pneumonia 5 times and can't risk breathing cold air. The winter is very scary for me. This company really cares about more than just the job. They were not willing to give up and took the time to figure out the solution. Along the way both of the gentlemen who came explained what the blinking codes meant so I actually knew what it was doing. They did a sensational job. I know that I have a company that will keep me safe.
Description of Work: My Payne furnace kept going into lock down mode. I had another company come out and they couldn't find anything. They tested the furnace, took apart the duct sleeve, checked the registers and looked at the chimney. I had a programmable thermostat and he explained that they do come programmed, but that if you set a temp and push hold it should over ride it. No matter how high I set it, it wouldn't stay on. They suggested the possibility of "over riding" the flute safe guard but the furnace is only 4 years old and that made me very uncomfortable. They suggested that something could be stuck in the chimney. I got a chimney company and they felt badly because there was nothing in the liner or chimney.

Tim called ahead so I could meet him at the property, arrives on time, performed his duties and was professional. Tim did do something I didn't expect, he educated me about my existing furnace, that it was nearing the end of its expected life and in 2013 you will no longer be able to buy an 80% furnace.
Description of Work: Lizut performed a complete furnace inspection including a carbon monoxide test as required by the city.

Overall, I received excellent service and they were quick to respond.
Description of Work: This is the 3rd time I've called on Lizut for help with my air conditioner. Each time, Tim has come promptly and is always extremely courteous. He works hard to diagnose the problem and then spoke with me each time about options available to me. This most recent visit resulted in a replacing a part that was blown out due to a power surge. Tim even took the time to call Consumer's Energy to inquire if they could help pay for the replacement. (they wouldn't, but it was nice of him to ask) I will definitely call upon Lizut again, just hopefully it's not too soon! : )

A big waste of time with Lizut...go someplace else.
Description of Work: This contractor came out and submitted a quote for a new HVAC system in April 2010. We did not do the work at that time. We called them again in August 2011 and they came out and said they would resubmit a quotation...our heat exchanger had started to leak so we assured them that we needed to proceed. They said that the new quotation would be a little higher but due to increases from their supplier. They never resubmitted and after numerous phone calls and promises to quote I finally gave up on them...a big waste of time. The work is being completed by another HVAC company and after this experience I'm glad I didn't use Lizut for the work. This is a very frustrating supplier to work with. I would go someplace else...I did!

The mechanic, Tom showed up in a timely manor and was very personable. My husband told him that he had already checked the fuses and replaced the Capacitor, but it still wouldn't work. Fortunately, Tom started back a Square One and immediately diagnosed that the Fuse was bad at the box on the outside wall of the house (near the AC unit). The fuse must have blown when he exchanged the capacitor. Fortunately, he had the fuse we needed with him. We had cool air again within 45 minutes. My husband is a do-it-yourself kind of guy and Tom was careful to not make my husband feel embarrassed about such a simple fix. We hired Lizuts prior to joining Angies List, but have had previous experience with them when we installed our own HVAC system 9 yrs ago. They were just as wonderful as they were then to work with.
