It is working well right now (no leaks). He also warned that it might happen again due to the rust, but it shouldn't happen for a while, but no guarantees since rust can break off at any time. Left the top coupler unglued so I could probably clean it out myself next time. I asked about replacing the drip pan and he mentioned they would need to do the coil too, but he didn't recommend it. He said the cost to do that would probably be at least half of a new unit.
Very polite and got to the job right away, even though I was on the phone when he arrived. Great service and very prompt with same day appointment.
The furnace and the installation looks great! Given that it was in the garage, they placed the furnace up on plastic risers, so it would not rust and conveniently placed the filter in an area that my Mom can change without trouble.
Although I was not there, my mother said the installation tech was very pleasant and polite. She was very satisfied.
Price was competitive with other providers, but well worth it given the service and results.
I would recommend to anyone that needs work done to contact Scott Ferguson. I wouldn't hesitate to use his company again.
polite and did a great job! We highly recommend them.
First, the owner, Scott, came out to provide a quotation. In the process he asked a lot of questions in order to determine exactly what problems I had in the house with heating and cooling. From those questions he was able to provide a product recommendation as well as a change to some of the home's ductwork. It was his recommendations on the entire HVAC system that really convinced me to choose his company. (His quote was the middle-priced of the three quotes I got.) He even proposed only giving part of his proposal a try at first to see if the problems were fixed. If not, he'd be happy to perform the rest of the work at a later time. This common-sense, customer-focused approach impressed me.
He told me exactly when he would be able to start the job and when it would finish. I asked him if I could spend some time after the tear out of the old system to clean the rust that had accumulated on my basement floor. He wound up coming out a day early to do the tear out and give me an evening to do the cleaning, which I really appreciated.
When the job was finished, the house was cleaner than when he started. The township inspector commented that it was one of the nicest installations he'd seen in a long while. Scott also spent plenty of time making sure I understood all of the controls and maintenance items in the new system.
Since the job, I've had absolutely zero problems with the HVAC system.
In a world of contractors that are mediocre at best, Ferguson really stands out!
