WE were moving from Traverse City to Shelby Twp and we were on a very short time frame. We asked our realtor to provide a list of inspectors and Bill was the first on her list so we called him. We were not able to come down for the inspection because we needed to pack up for the move. Our realtor was present the day of the inspection but due to realtors port-a-call she could only be present for his inspection but could not participate. She did tell him that we were in a time crunch and needed to have the report ASAP. He said he would send it by e-mail no later then the next day. We had to call him three times and give him our e-mail address three times before me got the report four days later. That was our first problem. After moving into the house we found several issues that we feel should have been found the day of inspection. The dish washer did not release all the water after the last cycle. We started a remodel on the master bath and found after going into the attic that there are several frayed wires and trusses that are sagging. One of the light fixtures in the guest room did not have a light bulb in it and we found after putting a light bulb the fixture did not work. The ceiling fan in the dining room was not balanced properly and rubs against the blades and makes a scratching noise. We thought that all these things should have been picked up and called to our attention. Bill did mention the day we called to set up the inspection that he was very busy. I wished he would have been up front with us and told us that due to the time crunch we should have called someone else.
