Description of Work: It's 7:00 pm. Made an appt. 2 weeks ago to have air conditioner fixed/serviced between 4-5. They called earlier today to see if they could reschedule since they were busy?! Since I made this appt. 2 weeks ago AND I came home from work, I said no. I mean 2 weeks and they are too busy to see me? Now they call at 7 pm and say they can't get here till after 9 pm? Plus the people they have been servicing before me did not make their appointments 2 weeks ago! I'll call someone else, thanks for wasting my time. I hope the next company keeps their word and makes their appointments a priority.June 20, 2012

We appreciate your feedback Member, and would like to take this opportunity to explain the circumstances that contributed to your experience. Our records indicate, on 6/11/12 a gentleman called in on behalf of your household to schedule a preventative maintenance service of your air conditioner. He asked for an evening appointment, which we agreed to do at no additional cost. It was scheduled for AFTER 4pm, which means we arrive between 4-8pm. At that time, we asked if the air conditioner was working and were told it was. On 6/20/12, the day your preventative maintenance was scheduled for, Michigan was experiencing extremely high temperatures. We are very committed to keeping our scheduled preventative maintenance appointments, however on that particular day we had several customers who were elderly, had special needs and families with children who had lost service to their air conditioners and were experiencing “no cooling” issues. When experiencing unusually high volumes of service due to extreme temperatures, we must consider the health issues of those we are serving. Our customers, who have air conditioners that are working, generally find this to be a fair practice. When we contacted you to see if you would mind rescheduling we were told you were experiencing air conditioning problems and that it was no longer a preventative maintenance issue. Once we realized this, we kept you in our schedule for the day. When our technician called to tell you he was running late and would be arriving at your home around 9pm, you cancelled your appointment. Our technicians worked diligently that day to ensure the community had their air conditioners up and running before the end of the night. The goal of North Winds is to serve in a timely manner, but we experienced an unusual high call volume that day and hope you may come to understand that we were trying to ensure those with health concerns had their air conditioner service restored first. We truly apologize for any inconvenience this caused to you and your family.
