Attic Insulation & Ventilation Pro's

George came out the day after I called for a quote to give me a run down of the work he thought we should do. He gave me a list and told me his recommendations but ultimately left it up for me to choose what I wanted to have done. He even called on the weekend to confirm the work to be done - he is a hard working dude. His quote and final cost matched exactly, and his guys even filled out the rebate form for us to get us some money back. They also informed us of tax credits we could get for the work done. The guys got caught in traffic, but called in advance to let me know they would be 15 minutes late and apologized for any inconvenience (which there was none). They were professional, only entered the house to plug in their insulating machine and even wore booties when doing so. The work completed was quick (about 5 hours) considering the amount that had to be done. They cleaned up after themselves and did phenomenal work. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering insulation/ventilation of their attics - you will not find a better crew.

Owner/Manager (George) came out on time, crawled through the attic and provided me with a laundry list of the various options from degree of insulation R-Factors to choose from; options for attic ventilation channels installed on the joists; double wall stack pipes on the bathroom exhaust fans; installation of an additional roof vent and finally, proper wiring of the attic fan. Each option had a cost associated with it so I could select each option based on what I could afford. I've never had the work order estimate designed like a menu and this was a wonderful and refreshing way to see what was needed and permit my wife and I the ability to prioritize. The people who performed the work also arrived on time and did an awesome job. They completed our work on time and cleaned up after the work was completed. Everyone was very professional and treated my wife and I with respect.

The serve from attic pros was first class all the way. George evaluated the project after making a thorough inspection and explained all of the many things that needed to be repaired in our attic. I appreciated that he showed me the spots in the attic that needed to be repaired rather than my just relying on second hand information. The day of the project the crew arrived on time were very friendly and worked very efficiently.

This was my second time using Angie's list for work on my house and I consider it absolutely successful. I read all the reviews from various companies that dealt with attic insulation and I was very impressed with Attic Pro's. I submitted a message that I was interested and within a few hours I received a response to send my phone number and address. Within a few minutes, I received a call from George, the owner. He was in the area and offered to come by to take a look and give an estimate. He was prompt and professional. I was impressed with his knowledge and his estimate was below what I was expecting. After he left I did a little thinking but could not come up with a reason not to go with his company. I needed to wait a couple weeks and George was accommodating with his team's schedule. His guys were just as prompt and professional on the day of service. My attic space is extremely tight and their job included ventilating a bathroom vent that was improperly installed from the previous owner. They kept everything as clean as possible, did the job quickly, and when they left it looked like they had never been there. I highly recommend Attic Pro's for their cost, quality of work, and great customer service!

I've now had the pleasure of doing business with Attic Insulation & Ventilation Pro's twice. When I originally purchased my home in December, 2014, the Home Inspection had turned up mold in the attic. When they quoted the work to remove the existing mold, they also quoted what it would take to prevent it from occurring in the future. At the time, my budget didn't allow for me to complete all of the work without dipping into my savings, so I decided to simply use them for the mold removal at the time. They were willing to schedule the work on the week of Christmas, and showed up as scheduled to complete the work. The individual who performed the work was extremely polite, honest, professional, and informative. The service I received was fantastic, and would've made recommending them an easy choice all on its own. However, flash-forward one year, and I now have the additional budget to complete the rest of the work. I received a couple of quotes, and then called Attic Insulation & Ventilation Pro's to have them quote the work again. To my surprise, George Zentz (the owner) said they would honor the prices on the original, year-old quote, including the work to complete. This put them under the price of competing offers from other insulation contractors. I then promptly scheduled the work with them. The same individual who had came out to remove the mold in the attic came out to complete this work, along with one additional crew member. They got right to work on the ripping out the existing vinyl on the soffit, and realized that the original quote had called for about 30 square foot of soffit to be vented, but in actuality the portion quoted was closer to 90 square foot. Rather than charge extra, they simply got the additional supplies and honored the original quoted price. They also completed all the additional work, and were very professional throughout. I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, trustworthy contractor to handle an attic insulation/ventilation job.

The crew got here on time and began by removing all the existing soffit vents, cut soffits 6 inches the entire lengthy of the house and put up new vented soffit. Front and back, Cut a new access panel in the garage to the attic for free, so that they wouldn't have to come through the access panel in the house. Made it easier for them, and now I can use it if necessary. Win/Win. After cleaning all mold and sanitizing, they fogged the attic to apply a anti-microbial mold inhibitor. Then blew in an additional 27 bags for ECI Cellulose insulation. I went up and took a look through our new access. It was beautiful. Sorry, if you saw what the Majic idiots did, you'd be emotional too. It's so level and packed into everything. Roof deck wood and joists looked like new. Even blew in a little more insulation (free) to make sure it was covered. The team was beyond professional and cleaned up as if they were never here. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. George knows his stuff (inside and out) and not pushy. Reasonable pricing. These guys are the real deal. Stay away from the big stores trying to sell you everything you don't need and charging you for inferior work. Use Attic Pros, you will not be disappointed. I learned the hard way.

I sent a message through Angie's List on Tuesday and George came out the following Thursday to inspect our attic. He was punctual and thorough and made several recommendations for improving the insulation and ventilation. He provided us with a brochure with additional information. He gave us two options: either R-49 or R-60, and we chose R-60 after thinking it over for a day. George also alerted us to a DTE Energy rebate that we qualified for. We were pleasantly surprised with his reasonable estimate and scheduled the work for the following Monday. The two men who did the work did a wonderful job and cleaned up nicely after they were done. The whole process went like clockwork and was finished within a week of my initial call. If you are considering similar work to lower your heating/cooling costs and protect your roof, I would highly recommend Attic Insulation & Ventilation Pro's.

It couldn't have gone better. Jason & Justin called 1/2 and hour prior to arriving and immediately began setting up, installing baffles, etc. They were courteous and kept me informed of their progress. Everything was very professional and they left the garage and driveway cleaner than they found it. When they had to check out something on the inside of the house, they made sure that they wore shoe covers. A very professional company to work with that delivers exactly what they promise and a bit more!

I actually called this company because of a glowing review from a friend who had hired them. Mr. Zentz came over and explained everything completely, pricing and all details. They are completely professional, trustworthy, and take care while in your home. If all companies were like this one, there would be few unhappy consumers.

We've used Attic Pros for work on our old house in the past and would use them again if we ever needed anything else attic/ventilation related. We had new soffits cut, baffles replaced, new insulation added, two attic fans installed, and a bathroom exhaust fan venting reattached for our attic. Great pricing, very professional, and the work went very quickly.

We don't remember exactly when the work was done or the cost. We do definitely remember the quality, work ethic, knowledge and customer focus of this company. In trying to keep our old family homestead liveable, George made a HUGE difference. We recommend them in every way.

s sI think it went well, very well. Had reason to call him back a month or so ago and he checked thoroughly and found no additional problem(s). He was very (VERY!) patient and an excellent listener. He didn't have a quick answer for subsequent concern of mine but showed every sign of cooperation and understanding. I think he knows his stuff and is a responsible, caring businessman and professional. And, folks, that is much more than I can say about most other service providers of any sort out there.

George Zentz is really a pro, He is very nice and knows what he is talking about. He was able to tell me what type of mold I had and why it wasn’t other types of mold. You could tell he had been in business a long time. He told me that all of his workers are in his family so he can count on them. When he came to look at my attic, I couldn’t get up there to look at it so he took pictures and showed them to me and showed me where the mold was and what it looked like. I was very concerned with chemicals he was going to use because I have chemicals sensitivity’s so he went over all the chemicals with me and told me how much they would use so I could do research on the chemicals. They turned out to be ok. He cleaned the attic mold and sanitized it and applied a mold inhibitor.I didn’t stay the first night and slept on the first floor a couple weeks after because of my sensitivity’s but I had a neighbor come over and check it out and she couldn’t smell it after the first night. I was very impressed that he wasn’t upset about all of my questions, because I asked a lot. He also installed 26 full width 6 ft log baffles so air could circulate so mold wouldn’t grow. He used a spray foam so that everything was covered with foam so that no water could come in which was a previous problem I had. All the people that worked on my attic were very nice. I sitting in my car because of the chemicals when they were working and when they were done the guy asked if he could use the hose in the back yard to wash off the chemicals, so while he was back there he noticed a big branch that had fallen and he actually cut it up for me and placed it by the curb for me.

Ventilation placed on my roof and cut into my soffits (which did not have any). Vents were also placed on my bathroom fans. They placed insulation throughout the whole house - which i had previously been told was not possible. The crew was professional, clean and timely. All this and my new roof was done to prevent ice dams in the future. Thank you so much for a job well done!!

George came to my home to evaluate an ice dam issue from last winter, and immediately diagnosed a blocked soffit problem, along with minimal attic insulation. George's team installed everything needed in the attic, fixed the ventilation issue, were professional, neat and very courteous. I highly recommend them!

We've dealt with so many different contractors over the past year as we've been updating our 1970's home and this is by far the BEST experience I have ever had. George Zentz and his crew are absolutely amazing. They are courteous and professional and leave you feeling like they did the work at 110% and didn't cut corners. And these days, that kind of hard work and good feeling, are very hard to come by. They arrived on time, did impeccable work, and cleaned up everything. George was very prompt, nice man, very personable and responsive. Explained everything that would be done and why. I got 3 quotes and his was the middle price...but I think the top in value! The work was done in a very reasonable time and George and his associate completed the work in one day and cleaned up after themselves. Which we all know does not always happen! Would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

We were getting a new roof installed onto our home and wanted to make sure our second story was insulated well and that our soffits were properly ventilated. George, the owner, came out and did a thorough inspection. He is very knowledegable and answered all of our questions. He discovered that most of our soffits were blocked and there was no ventilation. The boards under the soffits had to be cut and opened up to allow air flow to properly ventilate the roof. Pricing was reasonable and fair for the work that needed to be done. The crew showed up on time and were very professional and friendly and welcomed questions regarding their work. I would highly recommend this company for anyone who is looking for insulation work.

The bathroom fan was already installed, previous home owners had not completed the job to vent it out of the roof. Attic Insulation and Ventilation Pros provided an estimate and fit us in their schedule within a week. The team they sent was very professional - their workmanship looks great, they took the time to explain the job in advance / answer a few questions, and asked us to review it before they left. The job was complete in less than an hour. The owner also made himself available to answer any questions, and pointed us to their website to select the vent they would install. I will certainly keep their contacts to recommend them or hire them again.

George, the owner, came out to do the estimate and inspection. I was most impressed with his honesty. He responded promptly, did a complete inspection, found very little squirrel damage, and even told me a disinfectant was not necessary ( I had three squirrels just caught) as they mostly just used the soffits for their travels in and out of the attic. I asked for the total disinfectant just for peace of mind, before putting in new attic insulation to bring up to the current code R49. Attic Pros use EPA registered sanitizers, safe for people and pets. Jake and Mark were the employees who performed the actual work. Both were very professional, considerate, knowledgeable and answered all questions I had. I went over with Jake about the job when he first arrived and inquired that the cleaning/disinfectant would be done prior to the new insulation work being done. He assured me it would be done and that their disinfectant had a pleasant smell. At the end of the job he showed me the attic and pointed to the new baffles, vents and deeper depth of the Energy Control II cellulose insulation ( a quality cellulose that is treated with boric fire retardant that also makes it fungus, mold, and pest resistant). It was a pleasure working with Attic Pros, and I have already recommended them to a grout contractor that has been at my home recently. I would highly recommend Attic Insulation and Ventilation Pros and would use them again if needed.
