I'm writing this review for my dad. He hired Hanks to remove a large maple tree and stump from his back yard. In hindsight, he should have waited until the snow melted and things dried up. Hanks came out and removed the tree but not the stump. They also did a really poor job of cleaning up after themselves. To prove my point, a car got a flat tire after hitting one of the branches they left beside the road. It took multiple phone calls and finally talk of a lawyer to get them back out to remove the stump. Guess what? They didn't clean up the wood chips this made either. My dad had to hire someone else to clean up the mess. If you hire Hanks make sure you don't pay them the entire fee until your sure you're happy with the work, but my suggestion is to save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

I would recommend Hank's tree service to anyone who wants the job done and done right. He was very competitive with his pricing and beat all other estimates. Hank and his crew showed up when they said they were going to and made it look like the tree was never there to begin with. I had been working at establishing a really nice looking lawn, this is why I was hesitant to take the tree down, but the big Maple had to go. Hank layed down plywood in order to avoid tearing up my lawn! This included the removal of the entire tree and grinding the stump. I filled in the hole with some top soil and hit it with some sod and it looks great. Forgot to mention, they clean up after themselves too! They truely do care if the customer is happy.

Hank himself came out to look at the trees and give an estimate and suggestions the day after we called him. He was able to do the job with two other of his coworkers the next morning. So I was impressed with his promptness. He was knowledgeable about how to perform the work to prepare the land for future work were planning to have done (ie. bulldozing.)
