The men that came to perform the installation were here all day and accomplished the task. I was told after the day was finished, that someone from the office would call to arrange for the final inspection. This was on a Wednesday.
I received a phone call that Monday, while I was out of the house. I returned her call and left a message to please call me back. I received no return call that day, nor the next day. On Wednesday I again called and left another message. No return call. Thursday, left a message, no return call. Friday was just the same. Four calls, no return. How am I supposed to get this inspection done?
On the following Monday, I called Lowe's (who hired JMB to install their generator), and asked them to get in touch with JMB. I called again (for the 5th time) and left another message. Again no return call. That afternoon, I called for a sixth time, and finally she answered the phone. I expressed my frustration, and she said she was out sick and that someone else was working in her place. I suggested she speak with her replacement about the total lack of customer service, and that I will not use or recommend their company again.
Today, she says she's waiting for the City to get back with her concerning their inspection availability. I asked her if she could have returned my call today to let me know that she had contacted the City and was waiting for them to reply. She simply restated that she was waiting for the City inspectors. She never apologized.
She just didn't get it. At all.
How awful to pay someone this much money and get this much lousey treatment. Do yourself a favor - if you're maschositic, go ahead and use them. If you have any functioning grey matter at all, find someone else.
extra charge. When the job was completed a test was performed on the new equipment as well as a walk through on function, operation and maintenace. All debris was removed and the job site was cleaned up to my satisfaction. In my opinion you cannot have a better experience with any other company.
This post is dated several months after the service date so I could have time to check the function of the equipment and provide some input on service calls. Since there was never an issue with the equipment or the installation I cannot address that part of my experience with JBM Mechanica.
