Discount Pool & Spas

Description of Work: I had hired Discount Pool &Spa Services to close our pool last year. We had to install two new valves and the closing took two days because they couldn't finish flushing the lines etc... We basically had no problems, there were no issues. The two guys that came were very nice, professional, and seemed knowledgable. At the end of the pool closing they wrote down some notes for things we needed to remember when we open pool in spring. We received a copy and they took a copy. The note included information on what they had done in fall at closing and what we needed to do at the opening of the pool. They included things like replacing the pool light, replacing the heater valve, and fixing a tear in the pool cover. About a month ago I scheduled a pool opening for May 8th, 2013. I requested an early morning closing and was promised one. They showed up on wednesday May 8th at 11:00am. Not early morning. The guys that came were not the same two men as last year. They didn't seem very knowledeable and had NO paper work with them about what we had discussed last year about what was needed for opening. No knowledge about taking the pool cover for repair, no heater valve replacement, noone knowledgable to be able to look at the pool light, etc... I was very disappointed. To make matters worse their Pump failed and they had to use my pool system to clean out the nastiness left in pool from winter. I was again disappointed and upset that they had to use my system, which already needed repairing. Basically I didn't get the job I was promised completed. When I talked to owner and his co-owner they both claimed they had no paper work on file for what I was expecting. They sent out another man around 6pm that day and he had the wrong paper work AGAIN!!!! I showed them again my copies of the paper work on work that needed completed. He took pictures of it on his Iphone and stated he'd be showing the boss. He promised he'd call the next day by 10am. I received No call. I finally got a call around 4pm from co-owner and he still hadn't seen the paperwork, still couldn't find his, and stated that I should have told them about this work when I scheduled app. I told him I did, a few times but he argued with me. He was also rude and full of arrogance with his comments to my problems. Long story short we hiring another company to finish the opening of our pool. Wish I would have gone to Angies List first!
