Description of Work: I was given the name of this company by the manufacturer of our system. They said they would be here on Friday and did not show up. I called them at 6:30 that Friday night and was told they would be coming on Saturday instead. They came and decided that they needed to order a part. Returned and made the warranty repair on our split a/c system, did not think that the system was fixed and did not feel that he (owner of company, Jeff Locklear) could do anything further. Left the cover off our A/C unit outside and referred us to a local distributor for further assistance. He told me that he would not charge me for this repair. After a couple of sweltering weeks and no action from the distributor, other than an email referring me back to AFM, I decided to turn the system on and low and behold, it was working fine! I called AFM and let them know. I also asked them to move one of our wall mounted units. They told us they would be here Thursday or Friday; they showed up on Monday. They moved the system. The next day, we discovered a leak in the unit they had moved; water was running down the wall and dripping from the ceiling of our finished basement. They came back out and levelled the system. A few hours later, I noticed a leak coming from another area of the system. They came back again and found the drain line kinked. They corrected the problem and invoiced me for the equipment move AND the original work, which I was told I would NOT be charged for! I paid them for the move of the unit.

+ -1 moreI called on 1-2-2014 to have my furnace humidifier repaired, which was not working and was still under warrantee. I was told that AFM Heating and Cooling had purchased the Varton company, and would honor that company's commitments and customers. The appointment was scheduled for the next day. On 1-3-2014 I received a call stating that they could not make it to my home that day. We rescheduled for 1--8-2014. On 1-8 I received a call - they were too busy to come to my home due to the weather and all the furnace problems people were having, and we needed to reschedule, which I did for 1-13-2014. The gentleman who answered the phone stated that they were very busy, and "making lots of money", but had to give first priority to those who had no heat during the cold spell. On 1-13 nobody had showed up at my house, and I called an hour after the appointment time. I left a voice mail to return my call. Nobody ever returned my call. On 1-23-2014 I called back and spoke to the same gentleman, who remembered our previous calls. He said that his boss, the owner of the company, was supposed to be at my home on 1-13, and didn't know why he hadn't shown up. He said his boss Jeff would call me the next day to straighten the matter out. Nobody ever called me back. I had a different company come out to fix my humidifier. I would never use this company, and was appalled by their lack of customer service and the treatment they gave me.
