I was told how much I needed this system and that I would be amazed on how much water would be removed from my walls. I was sold a system for almost 15k. My salesman later told me I would still want to fix the main problem outside after they were paid. (I feel I was hustled) 1st visit they cracked my foundation and moved a support post without checking with the engineer. Also 80% of the seems were not sealed, the cracked most of my concrete under my furnace, plumbing was coming out of the wall, the plastic was supposed to be tight to the wall and most was 3-4 inches away and they left 2 holes in concrete. 2nd visit same crew, slapped a shotty patch on the crack in my wall, they used hydraulic cement and mortar looking, sloppy. They didn’t fix the plumbing coming out of the wall, they cemented the floor under my furnace but made it so no water could drain. Also the seams were no better and the concrete was splashed all over . 3rd visit they tried to use duct tape to get the seams better but that did not work. The cement was still blotchy. The crack was still spreading the plumbing still coming out of the wall and they drilled small holes in the concrete were they cemented the drain closed. Also test ports for drainage were cemented shut. 4th visit they came out with another crew and redid 80-90% of the work. They re drilled bigger holes by the furnace and got it about 60-70% better. Now after the concrete has settled I have cracked all over and they refuse to fix them. My foundation crack is spreading and they will only fix it if I sign off my right and that even if the crack spreads after the patch they will not be back to fix it. I chose not to sign away my rights. Whether or not, I can take legal action I have no idea, but was not gonna sign off my right, especially for a fix that may or may not work and them not be responsible to fix it if it gets worse. End of the day I feel like I was lied to and sold a product that I didn’t need. I spent almost $15,000 and found out I could’ve spent $4500 to fix the problem outside of the house.. I’ve been dealing with them for almost a year and had nothing but a headache they came today to try to get me to sign away my legal rights for a patch job that may not work. UPDATE: They said they would do some 1/2 ass work but ONLY WOULD DO THE WORK IF I REMOVES MY BAD REVIEW AND STOP POSTING ON SOCIAL MEDIA ON HOW BAD THE JOB THEY DID WAS. Only credit I can give them is they have came back a lot but never a real fix and now just to keep me from posting. I am sure they have done good work for some but again mine was done poorly and was told my problem was inside and after the work was done they told the problem is on the outside and I should look at getting that done. I feel lied too and hustled. Was trying to deal with it as long as the work was done as quality like they told me it would be and look close to all the pictures they showed me. But it wasn’t as you can see from the photos Tried to get them to fix the work and do the actual repair needed and basically they said NO. In other words SCREW YOU 4-2-24 update. I see Ayres Basement decided to comment on this post. Mind you the only agreement they are trying to reach is a patch job that and they won’t guarantee the work. Mind you after months of me trying to get them to fix it and do the correct work that needs to be done they chose not to answer me until I posted a negative review and showed all the work they did and how bad it. They were unwilling to fix what they broke until I posted negatively about them but then they want me to remove the negative post if they do any kind of work, but they won’t guarantee the fix. 12-04-24 still no resolution refused to fix it. Also canceled and haven’t rescheduled the 1 year inspection as part of my agreement Anyone who sees my basement before and after will agree they messed it up and should fix it. (Not to mention I was over sold and the problem could have been fixed for under 5k. Found that out after I looked in to another company fixing it) still no response

Response from Ayers Basement Systems
We have tried to reach an agreement with this customer. We had set expectations that we could replace the cracks in the mudcap, but it would just come back as it's the way the home is built, not our work that has caused the problem. We asked the customer to sign off on the work to be updated, and he declined. The customer does still have our warranty, and we will still honor it. But that we would honor it as it is exactly written in the contract, and not subject to interpretation.

We had two areas of concrete leveling. One smaller area was done well and met expectations. The other area the crew was not able to adjust the existing concrete pads up to expectations. The contract specifies "lift is subject to field conditions" so we still had to pay full price even though we did not get desired result. Way too expensive to not get desired results!

Response from Ayers Basement Systems
Thank you for your feedback, Moe. We understand your concerns about the shrinkage cracks in the concrete. These cracks are a natural part of the curing process that occurs after installing a waterproofing system and do not affect the performance of the system. We see noted in your account that your system design specialist has already reached out to you regarding this concern. If you have any further questions, please let us know!

Everyone I dealt with was polite and professional. There were delays that happened that I thought could have been avoided. This isn't my first experience with Ayers and have always had good luck with them. That being said, had this been my first experience I'm not sure I would recommend them without shopping around a little. The work is now finished, looks good and hopefully will stop the water from coming in the basement. But I thought the ball was dropped a couple of times in the scheduling portion of the process.
