Description of Work: Furnace was making a horrible sound. Not all the, but enough times to be annoying. Found the condensation pump was no good. Replaced it. Also did a maintenance check and cleaned the furnace.

Description of Work: The top of my chimney blew off. They sent out two men to reinstall the piece that had blown off. When they we up on the roof, they noticed that my chimney liner was disintegrating. They did all the measurements, ordered the parts and had to custom make a new chase cap for my chimney. Nathan was the job supervisor and was here not only making sure everything was done appropriately but working also. Nathan is very knowledgeable and professional. He truly cares that the job is done right and with the utmost care. His crew were, also, very good. I would recommend Nathan and his crew without reservation.

Description of Work: Convinced my husband we need a whole new furnace on the coldest day of the year and that we did not have time to shop around or get other estimates. Then talked us into all kinds of add-ons we did not need. The furnace we got has very poor ratings out on the web. So far it has been fine but it is less than a year old.

I am sorry to hear that you had a less than desirable experience with our company. We know that any furnace that can be found on the internet can have bad reviews. But more important than the brand or model of the furnace is the company that installs it. I would like to point out that your furnace has a 10 year parts and labor warranty. That means that if anything goes wrong with that furnace in the next 10 years, Amana will pay for us to fix it. That should give you some peace of mind. I would also like to point out that this covers your new air conditioner as well. The add-ons that you refer to may seem unnecessary, and in fact, they aren't necessary to the operation of your new furnace. However, the humidifier, media filter and ultraviolet light are great things to have in your HVAC system. They improve the quality of the air within your home without a doubt. The EPA states that studies of human exposure to air pollutants indicate that indoor levels of pollutants may be 2 to 5 times – and occasionally more than 100 times – higher than outdoor pollutant levels. Indoor air pollutants have been ranked among the top five environmental risks to public health. The problems they cause can be subtle and do not always produce easily recognized or immediate impacts on health. So although these Ad ons were not a necessity, this is why they were offered at the time of the estimate. We never want our customers to feel pressured. I understand that is was extremely cold when your furnace went out. This undoubtedly added some pressure to the situation, but we do not condone high pressure sales tactics within our company. You always have a choice in the products and services you buy and the companies you choose to do business with. A company should never try to take that choice away from you. If there is anything we can do help you, please don't hesitate to call us. Otherwise, we will see you for your free Comfort Club visit that was given to you as part of your new installation.
