When setting up the appointment they never mentioned a fee for coming to quote a job. The guy was here for less than 30 minutes and wanted to charge $120, and as I did not agree he would not leave unless I paid at least $75 (that is $150/hour for only talking). He did not even give me an estimate and said they would call me. They never called me to give me the estimate, and do not pick up my calls. Very unprofessional.

Bob the owner contacted me immediately and they were out to fix the jobs in a timely manner. The price was excellent and I am glad I now have a new plumber that I can count on.

I had a tub faucet replaced where it had no easy access. Todd got it done.

The customer service was a 5 on a scale 1- 5. Five being great. They were within the window of time agreed upon. I was at work at the time but my wife was at home for the repair. The shower on the main floor was leaking into the basement. The plumber took the correct steps in repair. There were no parts to be bought to fix the leak. The plumber was able to remove the access door to make the repair. The plumber found a joint that need to be re-soldered ear the fixture. The tub was missing two screws for the drain which he had to go get from the local hardware. This guy charged my wife 400.00 and said he charges 100.00 per hour. I called my wife during this time and said to go ahead and pay him and I' ll definitely warn future customers. Who makes 100.00 per hour when the job didn't even take 1 hour with no parts. I will never, ever, ever use this company again for plumbing needs. Beware !!!

be very careful. I would never recommend this company. They did the work, and left gas leaking in my home. We didn't know about it for a couple days. Slades did correct it, but it was leaking over night. The owner was very apologetic. They did fix it, make it right, but I still get goosebumps just thinking about it, gas being left on. It could have been a very lethal outcome.

My wife, daughter, and I moved into our house two weeks ago. We had our dryer installed by Will and Derrick, whom were very friendly. They left at approximately 12:30 pm and reported finding no leaks. When leaving, they stated that they had run some lines which left a gas smell which we were told would dissipate shortly. My family and I left for the afternoon, and when we returned we found the smell still present and informed DTE. DTE found that Will and Derrick had left on a gas line, which was previously shut off without confirming where it had gone. The line was left uncapped by the previous homeowner and was the source of the leak. I believe that they should have confirmed the destination of the line before leaving it left on.

I had two outside faucets replaced. They did a great job, making sure there were no leaks. They explained how the no-frost feature on the pipes worked. I am very pleased with the work.

We had no problems with the bid process and the pricing was fair. However, the plumber that was sent on the job first suggested doing the job in violation of building code. Plumber was unprepared for the job when he arrived and had to make three trips to obtain parts needed for the job. In addition, they also damaged the laundry room sink. Company had to return to light the hot water heater as they forgot to relight it after the job was completed.

I called this company around 10 am this morning. My faucet broke when I was doing dishes. They said they couldn't come out today and we made an appointment for the next day. She did say if one of the plumbers became available, they would call me. Sure enough around 1:00pm, Jason called to say he could be at my home in about 25 minutes. He arrived promptly and took care of the job. EXCELLENT work! I will definitely recommend this company and use them again!!

I called Slades after the original plumber Home Advisor recommended was rude and unprofessional on the phone. Cheryl at Slades was funny and kind. She got Jason out within 2 days. He was GREAT! He fixed BOTH of my running toilets, gave me some advice on upcoming necessary fixes, and as an added bonus fixed the shower handle that had fallen off just a few days before his visit. He did the work quickly and efficiently and wasn't milking the clock (like some other plumbers do). The final price was less than I had been quoted by other companies. And, the work was done correctly. And Jason was even kind to my small dog, who watched his every move. I'll definitely be holding on to Slades' number for future plumbing needs!!!

My husband found another plumber...he did not phone back...I went On Home advisor....picked SLADES....Random...I hit the jackpot! !Bob the owner came out within an hour...He Looked at the faucet leaking full force...we told him what faucet to put in our bathroom sink...2 hours later DERRICK AND ED. To the rescued˜˜GREAT JOB...NO MORE LEAKS...FAST EFFICIENT..PLUS KIND.

We hired another company to install two new shut off valves in our basement. Our house is very old and actually has lead pipes coming into the house. The original plumber installed the valves and left without the water being turned back on. When it finally was turned on, there was a small leak in the compression fitting to the main line. So, we called Slades to come fix the problem. John was upfront about his service call pricing and hourly rate, and I found both to be completely reasonable. The best part of my interaction with Slades, however, is that I no longer have to worry about the problem. While my original plumber (a company that touted their decades of experience) had every excuse as to why the job could not be done properly, John simply solved the problem. Here is my highest form of praise: If I ever have another plumbing problem that I can't fix, I'm calling Slades.

They came the same day and repaired my kitchen faucet perfectly.

Was impressed that the got a cast iron pipe out of my wall without damaging or cutting out original wood floor boards(live in historic home). However,They did not clean up so well after the job was complete
