I called the co. at 10:15am on Sat. and spoke to a PERSON! They got in contact with the repairman who was available to come in 30 minutes and he did. He quickly discovered the problem and repaired it within 30 minutes. There was an electrical part that had worn out on my old washing machine. He was friendly and professional. Price was reasonable. I'm writing this on the day if service so I'm not sure about long term quality but I was impressed.

Fantastic! When I called, it was very business like. I was told the technician would call me within 15 minutes and he did. The technician said he would be here in a half hour and he was. It's fixed for less than I expected. He was able to determine the problem very quickly, had the part with him and replaced it for the exact cost he gave me.

Gave a simple description of the problem, looked to see the dryer model, snapped his fingers, went to the truck for the part, installed it, bingo. Went exactly as you'd want.

The repairman came in, listened to my description of the problem and then started looking at the machine for possible sources of the leaking. He determined none of the hoses were leaking and that the water was coming from a rusted portion at the top of the washer tub. He gave me an estimate to replace the part, but then suggested that simply running a smaller load would most likely solve the problem. I appreciated his honesty as well as the information he provided about the overall age and condition of my machine. He charged only for the service call.

The serviceman came to check out the oven and cooktop; he said he would call with an estimate. After 4-5 calls back, I only received an estimate when I asked for my initial payment to be returned. This company has very poor follow-up on their service calls.

I called on a Sat. morning, and the dispatcher told me that someone would be out today. Frankly, I was surprised that they would send someone out the same day, especially on a Sat. Within 45 mins., Gary called and was in my neighborhood and asked for directions. Within an hour of my placing the call, he was at my door. He was professional, courteous, and clean. He took no more than 10 minutes to diagnose the job and told me that while he would be glad to do the repair, the cost of $280 would go a long way toward the purchase of a new dishwasher, and he couldn't warranty the parts that he didn't fix. He charged $35 for the house call, and we decided to get another dishwasher.

Neil P the technician diagnosed the problem with our 4 1/2 year old Kitchenaid refrigerator to be either the start compacitor or the compressor, after removing the back panel he told me that the compacitor had already been changed and he did not have one similar to the one that had been put in so he could not do anything else. I asked him if he could test the compressor, he told me no not without the compacitor. Checking online there are test to check the compressor that would not have required having the compacitor. He did not seem to be trained very well or was not interested in repairing the refrigerator.

My experience was absolutely HORRIFIC with this company, Central Appliance. The technician, ''NEIL'' was sarcastic, miserable, condescending, abrupt, rude and downright nasty. He obviously does not like his job and takes it out on the customers. He misdiagnosed the problem with my appliance. He tried to charge me close to $200 for a $21 part! He didn't check the appliance carefully as it turns out his diagnoses (if you can call it that) was WAY off, causing me literally thousands of dollars as all the food items had to be thrown out all because of Neil and his incompetence. PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS ABOUT HIRING THIS COMPANY. When I demanded a full refund for my money, the owner was almost equally abrupt, rude and condescending as his employee, Neil. NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE AT ALL.
