Description of Work: 2 sets of patio doors. One thing I didn't like is they have you hire the staining of the doors,that should be done by them.

Description of Work: I ultimately had all of my windows replaced in my 1948 built house. The service was well planned and everything done exactly as stated. Randy, the sales rep was great to work with and checked on the progress. The final two windows were done in summer of 2014.

Description of Work: replaced 11 of our windows and a patio slider. They worked hard to get it perfect and to please. Took care not to damage anything and to protect carpets. Very pleased with their work and with the performance of the windows. Would certainly use their service again.

Description of Work: Installed two new patio doors. Door off deck was easily installed. Haad trouble installing second door off patio. Took a long time to make sure it fit correctly. Had to call for service after very windy storm to stop air from coming in door off deck and air coming in off patio and water. |Always came when called and corrected problem. Always curtious and friendly. Also replace a door handle that was not securing door. Was told to call them anytime. There is a warranty on glass and door frame.

Description of Work: Renewal By Anderson replaced 3 casement windows in my condo (1 window had three sections (two turn-out and one stationary) and two windows with two turn-out sections. Anderson considers this 7 windows). Renewal was wonderful. From the salesman, to the installer, to the painter who stained the new trim around the new windows, everyone was very professional and did an absolutely wonderful job. The job was completed on Saturday, and a representative called the beginning of the next week to see if everything was satisfactory. The only problem I had was a handle that opened one of the windows had come off (probably was not completely tightened at the time of installation) and I had tried to put it back on and had put it on backward. A trouble-shooter from Anderson came out within 48 hours and took care of this problem and checked the remainder of the handles. My experience with Renewal by Anderson was very positive, and I would recommend their services to anyone interested in new windows. They completely removed the old window units and replaced with the new units, which allows the size of the glass to remain the same and not become smaller. This was very important to me. I found their price to be competitive comparing apples-to-apples. I definitely had lower quotes, but for the quality and beauty of Renewal by Anderson, it was worth the extra. I love the looks of my Anderson windows so much that I have not re-installed the window treatments I had originally at these windows. Never regretted my decision to go with Renewal by Anderson.

Description of Work: Renewal came in and made a bid on 13 windows and enlarging one window area from one window to 3 windows in our master bedroom. I received 3 other bids besides Renewal. The renewal sales rep was very friendly and knew construction very well which is a plus but I was blown away by the cost. The other 3 bids came in at $9,000 Hansons, $10,500 Polar Seal and $13,000 Pella. Now to be fair the other two lower bids were vinyl windows but top of the line vinyl window with complete lifetime guarantees on the windows. Pella's windows were similar to Renewal's. Renewal's final price was for around $21,000!!! Renewal started at almost $30,000 and reduced it with some discounts. But so did the other bidders. The other bidders showed me more discounting than what Renewal was going to give me. Plus I believe Renewal started high so they can show me they were willing to deal but without justification or accountability on why they started so high other than to say but we are Renewal by Anderson from the sales rep. Also, I do not care that Renewal feels they make a great or better window. So did Pella and the other companies I was quoted to do the job and they feel the same way about their windows. Each bidder had their positives. It just that I felt Renewal's windows are not worth twice or more the price they quoted me. The company I picked (Polar Seal)will install great windows. The one thing I learned from dealing with replacement window companies is this: Please do your homework before selecting and do not let them hard sell you!!!!

Description of Work: They replaced our old patio door which was very drafty with a new sliding patio door made of wood and High-Performance LowE-4 glass. We installed the Frenchwood Gliding door which we preferred to the Narroline Gliding door. The wider wood trim on the Frenchwood door looks so much better. We have not had the door over the winter so I am not sure how it will perform with respect to keeping out drafts. It does seem to fit so much better that I do not doubt in will live up to its reputation. I would also recommend having an oak or maple finish on the interior wood rather than just the pine. One thing that I would caution buyers about, is to pay the extra money, about $390, to have the inside of the door stained. It is too tough a job to do if you are not a professional. The work itself was done on time with a minimum of problems. We choose to have the Renewal by Andersen personnel do the work as opposed to hiring an outside contractor do the installation. They came at the time they said they would, removed the existing door, and installed the new door with a minimum of time or effort. Whatever "mess" was made was cleaned up completely before they left. We were totally satisfied with the entire installation.
