He gave me an estimate on a new furnace, at my request. After getting several more estimates, I found his prices to be more than fair. He offered me a quality product at an excellent price. Although, we went with another company because of timing issues, we were pleased with the work he did perform. Even after, I went with another contractor, he offered me advise on how to spot good vs shoddy workmanship and advised me on what work would be best to do now and what could be put off until later. I would definitely consider this contractor.
Description of Work: When my old furnace went out, Tom was sent out to get it up and going again. Not only did he get it started, but did a comprehensive check on the safety of the unit. He was thorough, punctual, polite and neat, and knowledgeable.

This company is inept and unwilling to stand behind their work. I had a problem with my hot water heater suddenly not putting out the same amount of hot water as would be expected. I researched on the internet and it was quite clear to me that the problem was the "dip tube" The employee that came out simply tested less than 10 gallons of flow through my kitchen faucet and said that there was nothing wrong with my water heater. Never mind the fact that a water heater is designed to run 2/3 of its capacity without significant temperature drop, which would be over 30 gallons for my water heater. He did say that he needed to actually look at the water heater for his "paperwork" I continued to tell him that the first 5 minutes was not the problem. While he was looking at the water heater I ran another 5 gallons or so out of the tub sink in the same room. I asked him to test the temperature and it had dropped 15-20 degrees. He said this didn't matter and my water heater was just "old" and probably didn't work as well. I then pointed out to him that the water heater had just started after 10 minutes and probably 1/3 of the tank being run out. This is a clear symptom of the dip tube being bad since the cold water is not reaching the bottom of the tank and tripping the thermostat to turn on the heater until a significant amount of water hot water had been used. He just told me that there was probably build-up on the bottom of my tank. Of course he didn't take the 5 minutes to open the valve and run a bit into a bucket to check this. Knowing that the dip tube was the problem I ordered and replaced it myself. Sure enough the dip tube was cracked off just below the fitting and was causing all the problems. When I called the company back they refused to stand behind their work. The owner said that a dip tube is "one of those tricky things" and that "it doesn't make sense to open up the water heater to check it" he said he would have done exactly what the person that came out did and refused to stand behind their work in any way. I am not sure if these people are completely inept at what they do, trying to collect the service call fee without actually doing anything, playing some game in hopes you will buy a new water heater from them, or some combination of all three. Bottom line, never use this company!

Contractor works appliance repair contracts for Consumer's Energy. was assigned my case on Friday morning came out didn't really know what he was doing called 800 number on my water heater used their troubleshooting to get to a point where a part was recommended be replaced. contractor then had me pay out of pocket $32 for overnight 9AM part delivery then never showed and never called. I called and was told other no heat calls take priority so I was bumped to the next day so I wait 1pm the next day and still no call, Called tech he said he had more high priority calls and didn't know what to say so hung up. Called consumers they tried reaching out and finally the tech called me around 8PM Sunday again and said our policy is high priority calls take precedence, he hung up with me to cal lhis boss, and then called me back and said his boss sated policy says high priority calls take precedence end of story so even though I had been without hot water for 4.5 days I still wasn't a priority call. With a national holiday coming the next day I was looking at 2 days before I could get hot water restored for a total of 6.5 days. All phase from manager down was not interested in helping me and knowing cold weather was coming and that they serviced consumer energy appliance contracts had only one guy working for all of west Michigan and wasn't interested in the fact that I was 4 days without hot water.

The technician arrived in the last 30 minutes of the four hour window of time that was given to me. He called when he was on his way and that was appreciated. A four hour time window is quite long compared to other service providers I've used in recent years. The technician did not stay to do the work because he was uncomfortable being around my service dog. I suggested that it would be better for me to get a different service provider, he agreed and left promptly. The company should have asked about pets when they called to arrange the appointment if there was a potential concern about animals in the house. Not everyone is comfortable with dogs and the company should not have put the technician or me in this situation.
Description of Work: Sent by my appliance service plan provider to inspect furnace to determine if it needed to be replaced. The technician made it only inside my front door before we agreed he should leave.

We needed help re-routing some ducts and replacing a thermostat and All Phase came out quickly, got the work done as promised and answered all of our questions thoroughly.

So now the furnace is fine, worked well through the rest of the heating season, and the air conditioner is working fine this summer. We have appliance insurance on most of our appliances through Consumer's Power, and whenever we've needed service on something, they usually send All Phase. All Phase has always been prompt and pleasant to deal with.
Description of Work: Our old furnace gave out in April, they came out and put in a new energy efficient one. We were very satisfied with the service. In June we discovered a problem with our air conditioner, they were very prompt coming out, after fixing it, explained that the problem was the result of having to disconnect it when they installed the furnace and had not gotten it hooked back up. No charge for the service call. We really appreciated their honest and prompt service.
